Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH) are hiring for a Deputy Director of Fundraising Planning & Performance to join us for an 18 month fixed term contract. Over the next 18 months, you will  support  our business-critical enabling teams to lay strong foundations for the long-term growth across our fundraising portfolio. Salary
 

The salary for this position is £86,800 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. As testament to its’ success and in response to huge need, IKWRO has expanded and now provides unique and vital support for women and girls from all Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan (MENA) communities who are at risk of “honour” based violence, child marriage, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, sexual violence and other forms of gender violence.  

IKWRO provides direct services including advocacy and professional counselling. IKWRO opened the UK’s first specialist Middle Eastern women’s refuge. IKWRO is regularly called upon to share expertise with government, academics, and media and to train professionals from bodies such as the police, social services and schools.  

IKWRO has led the recognition of “honour” based abuse and “honour” killing as forms of violence against women and girls. Campaign successes include; the first extradition from Kurdistan-Iraq to the UK of perpetrators of “honour” killing of Banaz Mahmod, the UK’s criminalisation of forced marriage, child marriage, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, as well as the first ever national inspection of policing of “honour” based violence. 

This is an exciting time to join IKWRO with the opportunity to help shape and implement the organisations’ new campaigns and communications strategies.  

The Campaign and Communications Manager will work under the direction of the Executive Director of IKWRO and will be responsible for drafting and implementing IKWRO’s new campaign and communications strategy to achieve positive systemic legal and policy change, informed by the experiences of the women and girls that IKWRO represents. The role involves lobbying, research, media and communications, networking, events management, engaging with the wider team and the women and girls IKWRO represents to ensure their voices are heard and maintaining and strengthening IKWRO’s leadership in the field. We’re recruiting for a team co-ordinator to support our busy legal, compliance and governance team and to support the good functioning of our team. Working with us will provide wide experience of how a busy and efficient in-house legal team deals with contracts, compliance, policies, processes and communications. There’s scope for the right candidate to take on more responsibility for  project work. We’ll provide a good quality handover as there’s many processes that you’ll need to understand and manage.

You’ll need excellent Microsoft 365 skills, particularly in word, outlook, teams and excel. You should have a great eye for detail, be efficient, proactive and accurate. Experience of organising meetings and minute-taking would be an advantage. The Asylum Reform Initiative (ARI) is an alliance of nine leading national organisations collaborating to secure deep change towards a fair, compassionate and well-managed UK approach to refugees. Central to its strategy has been incubating, launching and backing the broader, public-facing Together With Refugees campaign coalition, now with over 600 national and local member groups from across the refugee sector and beyond. The ARI team provides a dynamic hub that supports Together With Refugees, coordinating the development and delivery of the coalition’s campaign strategy.

About the role

This is a new role. Working closely with the rest of the ARI team, One Strong Voice, and the newly formed Together With Refugees Steering Group, it will play a key part in shaping and delivering the ambitious next phase of the Together With Refugees strategy. The Deputy Director will lead on movement building, strengthening the coalition, and developing the reach, activation levels and effectiveness of the coalition’s grassroots campaign organising to secure changes in policy and practice. At the heart of this is the engagement and leadership of activists with lived experience as refugees, and of member groups that are led by and for refugees – so advancing the goal of a transition to leadership by people with lived experience across the coalition. Key to this work will be building the capacity, effectiveness and impact of the One Strong Voice network to support lived experience campaigners, organisations and leaders at all levels. The Deputy Director will also contribute to wider leadership of the team’s work including fundraising, support for – and accountability to – coalition leadership structures, and effective delivery of the team’s work programme.

Prostate Cancer Research aims to develop and deliver breakthrough medicines and treatments to achieve a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. The organisation believes that it is only through research that we can build a future in which no family will have to fear losing a loved one to prostate cancer. In the last four years, we have expanded the amount of research it funds by four times. 

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a an experienced, dynamic and driven Trusts & Statutory Executive. The role will take a lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, developing and managing a pipeline of funding partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. 

Since 2018, PCR has significantly increased income from Trusts & Foundations and Statutory sources, as well as working in collaboration with other medical research charities and non-profits. This is a newly created and integral role within the Partnership Fundraising team to build on this work and will be key to identifying and nurturing relationships with prospective partners and funders, as well as developing and implementing comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective partners. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with funding partners (with experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income), understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and manage strong, impactful relationships. 

Finally, candidates must have a passion for securing funding that will help improve the lives of people with prostate cancer and a commitment to advancing healthcare through strategic partnerships and collaboration. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct proactive prospecting and qualification of Trusts & Statutory funding opportunities to build a robust pipeline of potential funders. 

• Identify and nurture relationships with prospective Trust & Foundations and Statutory funding partners aligned with the mission and values of PCR. 

• Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective funding partners. 

• Stay informed about PCR’s current and future work and translate larger, complex programmes of work into relevant, compelling funding asks.

• Work closely with PCR's delivery departments and other income streams to identify, develop and maximise income generation opportunities. 

• Lead the preparation and submission of funding applications and reports for both existing and prospective funders. 

• Develop compelling, high-quality proposals for new and existing programmes, ensuring they are tailored to each funder’s priorities and aligned with organisational objectives.

• Lead negotiations and secure funding support from funding partners for activities aligned with PCR’s programmes of work. 

• Effectively manage project monitoring and reporting for PCR’s existing funded activities with identified funding partners, including regular communication, reporting, and public recognition of contributions (as appropriate), working closely with PCR’s delivery and communications teams.

• Stay informed of industry trends, giving initiatives, and relevant developments to inform partnership strategies and opportunities. 

• Represent PCR at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities and expand our network, as required. 

• Database management to record pipeline and enable strategic planning against established KPIs and income targets. 

• Support Director of Partnerships to monitor and report income performance to PCR’s Board of Trustees.

This role leads on the further development of Breast Cancer Now’s secondary breast cancer services across the UK and online, building on the success of recent growth and exploring new opportunities. ARMA (UK) is the professional association for research management in the UK. We represent research leaders, managers and administrators, offering professional development and opportunities to build networks, knowledge and skills.

We are looking for a Conference and Major Events Manager to lead on the delivery of our successful annual conference and other major events.

The role includes, but is not limited to, project management, budgeting and financial management, marketing and promotion, sponsorship and exhibition sales/ coordination, venue selection and contracting, supplier management, speaker liaison, abstract management and delegate administration.

This role will work closely with our Head of Membership Engagement, the chair of Conference and Conference Working Group to deliver an excellent programme and outstanding delegate experience. The role holder is also responsible for managing the relationship with our appointed Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

The role:

This is a key role within the Executive Leadership team, with accountability for Finance, Procurement and IT at the Globe. You will work collaboratively with the CEO and Executive leadership team to drive strong business as usual delivery, and provide provide balanced insight to Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Group so that they can take responsibility for questioning routines and rituals, and for streamlining processes that improve efficiency.

The Finance Director is the lead on the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and is a key part of other relevant committees. You will also attend and report at Board meetings, developing strong working relationships with Board members, the Artistic Director, Executive Leadership members, members of the Senior Leadership Group (SLG), the Finance and Procurement team, the Globe’s IT contractor, and colleagues throughout the Globe.

The skills:

· Chartered Accountant.

· Extensive Director level business experience in a complex organisation.

· A strategic thinker with entrepreneurial instincts

· Demonstrable experience in managing contracts.

· Experience within the charities sector including understanding of the relevant accounting, taxation and other regulatory requirements this presents.

The Finance Department provides timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders while protecting Shakespeare’s Globe assets and ensures compliance with laws and regulations in relation to financial and taxation matters. Serving as a key partner on topics requiring economic, financial and value for money inputs and expertise, the Finance Department manages Accounting and Financial Reporting, Tax, Banking Relationships, Procurement, Financial Risk Management, Contracts, Management Reporting, and external audit partners

About the role

Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
• Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
• Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
• Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
• Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.
• Represent Sightsavers and/or support staff delegations at conferences and networks to engage with and cultivate new donor relationships.
• Contribute to team, departmental, and wider organisational systems development and initiatives.

Jobholder Requirements

Essential

• Relevant experience working in the charity sector, ideally in international development.
• Experience of long-term grant/contract management of significant funders/clients.
• Proven success in personally cultivating new relationships with prospective donors/clients and maintaining relationships with existing donors/clients.
• Demonstrative experience of excellent written skills, including proposals, bids, and reports for external audiences.
• Proven success in creating successful funding proposals.
• Knowledge of good fundraising practice.
• Experience of in-person networking at conferences or face-to-face meetings with senior trusts and foundations staff/board.
• Understanding of and interest in charity sector and international development issues.
• First-class presentation and writing skills, including preparation of proposals, project budgets, and reports with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel, and experience of using fundraising databases.
• Capable of relating well to a wide range of people.
