The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline.
This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.
This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).
Main Duties
Leadership and Management:
· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth.
· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches.
· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.
· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities.
· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders.
Oversee and support monitoring submissions.
Fundraising:
· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.
· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.
· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.
· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.
· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams.
Organisational and General Duties:
· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity.
· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process.
· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).
· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI.
· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets.
· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance.
Communications and Marketing:
Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging.

Office base Liverpool Street/Moorgate – Commonweal operates a flexible hybrid working policy requiring staff to attend the office base at least 2 days per week, one of which is our Tuesday anchor day when all staff are in the office.
Commonweal is an independent charity, with a small core staff team of 9, overseen by a voluntary Board of Trustees, working to investigate, pilot and champion housing based solutions to social injustice. We are seeking an Office Manager to lead and deliver the core administration that underpins our charity’s work. This new role brings together governance admin, property record management, and oversight of our office systems and environment.
As Office Manager, you will:
- Provide high-quality governance support to our Board of Trustees, including scheduling meetings, collating agendas, circulating board packs, and taking minutes.
- Manage the administration of our property portfolio, ensuring leases, rent review dates, compliance certificates and other legal documentation are accurate and up to date.

Your role will be to work with our board of Directors and staff to come to an understanding of our mission and values and our strategic priorities and develop and resource projects that will enable us to meet those priorities filling gaps in provision. About KLS’ Future Foundations education team
Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.
Key Objectives for this Role
Working with the Lead Youth Worker you will:
Homework Clubs
•Collect up to date consent information for all young people joining Future Foundations
•Support with creating session plans for club nights
•Research and source necessary resources activities
•Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for the young people
•Use participatory methods to involve young people about Clubs
•Ensure children’s participation and encourage ownership of and responsibility for the Clubs
•Implement our behaviour management policy
•Liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding Clubs and Mentoring
•Support with maintaining robust recording and monitoring systems (including registers) and ensure quotes, case studies and feedback are saved and stored
•Maintain, collect, edit and store documentation of activities, including photos, case studies and videos, for Newsletters, funding reports and other records
•Maintain excellent safeguarding practices
•Support whole team with making referrals to external partners and support agencies
•Support the Lead Youth Worker with running a weekly Youth Club for post-16 young people
•Support mentor coordinator with running early years mentoring sessions, when needed

Trips and activities
•Work with the Lead Youth Worker and Community Learning Coordinator to develop an annual programme of activity and trips during school holidays

About the role
We’re set to launch a new organisational strategy in the autumn, and as part of this, we have ambitious plans to grow both our brand awareness and our income; to support the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer. We’re recruiting for a senior marketing and communications planning and measurement manager to join the charity’s newly created brand, marketing and communications team and play a critical role in achieving these strategic ambitions. This new role will be pivotal in supporting our ambitions to build brand awareness, drive income and engagement.

You’ll also have strong project management experience, to support the implementation of new planning processes. The opportunity.....
You will play a pivotal role in growing income across the Hospice and leading new, relationship-based approaches to fundraising.
With responsibility for Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, and Regular and Mid-Value Giving you will create and lead a new strategy to develop these areas and manage and grow a portfolio of high-value relationships.
You will also work hand in hand with Hospice colleagues to identify and curate exciting fundraising propositions, helping to raise strategic funds for our services.
As a leader in the fundraising team, you will provide coaching and management to your team and deputise for the Director Fundraising.
You will be central in forming close working relationships across the Hospice and with the Board of Trustees, enabling a whole hospice approach to fundraising.
The must haves:
- Fundraising Success: At least six years’ experience operating in a Major Gifts or Trusts and Foundations role and a track record of personally securing and stewarding five and six figure gifts
- Strategic thinker: Experience of researching, developing and implementing new strategies, and associated budgets and KPIs, and of developing portfolios, and prospect management tools
- Leading and inspiring: At least four years’ experience of inspiring, managing and developing 1+ line reports
- Proposition development: Creative in outlook and with experience of developing donor-centric fundraising propositions

- Regular Giving: Experience of developing and managing Regular Giving and mid-value programmes
- Team Management: Experience of managing, motivating and supporting a team
