Summary
The Charity Spark is looking to appoint a Strategic Fundraising Consultant to expand our fundraising support for clients across the UK. This pivotal role will be a strategic fundraising lead, working with a diverse portfolio of clients to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. You will advise on a range of income generation methods, including trust and foundation grants, legacy giving, major donor philanthropy, and corporate partnerships.
A key part of your role will be to provide strategic development, helping clients diversify their income streams and build sustainable fundraising programmes. This position is critical as we expand our team to meet growing demand. We are a tiny, collaborative team committed to ensuring brilliant outcomes for our clients and stability for our team.
The Charity Spark are a consultancy for the non-profit and charity sector. We work with clients from across the charity sector and help them do more good daily through excellent fundraising and transformative impact measurement. That is, we help them prove they do what they say they do and then use that proof to raise more money, so they can continue the work that they do.

Important Details. What you’ll get:
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 FTE (3 days per week is £24,000-27,000 per year)
Hours: Up to 3 days per week. We keep core office hours of 8:30am-6pm however this role does not require the holder to work solely within these hours. We will work with you to find a working pattern which suits your needs and lifestyle as well as the needs of our business and clients.
Benefits: We will provide you with a laptop if required and equipment for you to work comfortably at home, as well as a monthly contribution towards your home broadband contract. We offer a company pension scheme and an employee assistance programme. We believe in the power of chocolate and tea!
Commission structure: Recognising the important role all our team play in client relationships, and in securing new contracts, TCS operates a commission structure which rewards staff who work on a successful client proposal.
Holiday: 22 days plus bank holidays (FTE contracts – pro rata for PT) and your birthday off.
Volunteering: We encourage our employees to volunteer so we will provide you an additional 2 days (FTE) a year volunteering leave.
Training and development: We want to invest in our staff team so we will provide you with an annual budget for training courses and books to enhance your skills.
Employment status: Fixed term contract of one year with permanent contract to be discussed.
Location: The Charity Spark is based in Winchester. This role is predominantly home-working with an expectation of regular co-working (around 2 days per quarter and typically in Winchester although location may vary).

What you’ll be doing:
1. Fundraising
-
- Develop and Lead Fundraising Strategies: Create bespoke, multi-stream fundraising strategies for a range of clients. This includes capital appeals and other large-scale projects, helping clients raise significant funds for transformative goals.
- Income Diversification: Advise clients on how to diversify their fundraising portfolio, reducing reliance on any single income source and building resilience.
- Trust and Foundation Fundraising: While the role is broader, you will still oversee and deliver trust fundraising work, including researching funders, writing bids and proposals, and supporting clients to steward donors effectively. You will also mentor and upskill clients and their teams on best practices.
- Support the Director with developing strategic resources for fundraising including digital courses, blogs and downloadable resources for charities.
- Client Management and Support: Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, hands-on support, and strategic guidance throughout their fundraising journey.
2. Business Development
· Deal with client enquiries in an efficient and timely manner.
· Support the Director with onboarding new clients.
· Liaise with clients to gain testimonials and write client case studies.
· Research opportunities for new business products and/or clients.
· Support with B Corp certification process and improve The Charity Spark’s impact as a company.
· Assist on the organisation of team events and away days, alongside the Director.
About you:
- Experienced Fundraising Leader: You have a proven track record of success with five or more years of experience in fundraising. You demonstrate the ability to develop and execute effective, multi-stream strategies. You can tell us about fundraising successes you have been an important part of.
- Strategic Thinker: You are adept at seeing the bigger picture, identifying growth opportunities, and creating long-term plans for organisations. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative growth mindset.
- Diverse Fundraising Knowledge: You have demonstrable hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: major gifts, legacy, and/or trust fundraising. Experience with capital appeals or with Christian charities/churches is highly desirable.
- Practical skillset: Target-driven, with experience of budget-setting, financial processes, monitoring and reporting outcomes across income streams. You have a practical understanding of fundraising and charity regulation and best practice regarding prospecting, stewardship, and reporting, together with IT and database skills including knowledge of CRMs.
- Excellent Communicator: You have a talent for using words powerfully, with excellent written communication and presentation skills. You can build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, clearly communicating complex ideas and inspiring confidence.
- Proactive and Results-Oriented: You are target-driven and have a proven track record of meeting fundraising goals. You are able to balance competing priorities and work under pressure, with the ability to anticipate and formulate solutions to problems.
- Comfortable in a small team with an entrepreneurial spirit: we are a small growing business led by our founder. You will have a passion for working with a business with a strong social mission and looking for a positive purpose in the company you work for.

About you

Art Explora is seeking a full time Community Programme Coordinator to lead on the day-to-day running of the Community Programme in London, working closely with Art Explora’s Community Programme Manager and coordinating programme volunteers.
Art Explora is a non-profit arts organisation founded in the UK in 2021. Our mission is to tackle the social, economic and geographic barriers that prevent many people from having the opportunity to take part in the arts. We increase access to arts and culture through innovative programming, new forms of engagement and by taking cultural projects into the heart of communities, schools and care settings. On the Community Programme we work in partnership with care settings, such as care homes and hospitals, to connect people in care with art and creativity. Working with volunteers, artists and musicians, we share the joy of art to combat loneliness and isolation. Our main programme strand is Arts at Home, supplemented by music sessions, Music at Home, delivered in partnership with Spitz Music, and arranging trips, Art Explorers At…, for residents to visit museums, galleries and theatres.
During Arts at Home sessions, volunteers introduce residents to a variety of artworks, accompanied by open-ended questions and thought-provoking prompts designed to spark conversations and connections within care settings. Our aim is to bring residents together to encourage independent thinking, combat loneliness, improve their wellbeing, and to experience arts and culture just as everyone should have the right to.
We are seeking a Community Programme Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of the programme and work closely with the Community Programme Manager to expand our offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme administration including but not limited to being the first point of contact and managing the volunteering inbox, processing expenses, sending weekly confirmation emails to volunteers and a monthly newsletter, and inputting monitoring data
- Delivering and facilitating Arts at Home, and other community programme sessions
- Support planning and delivery of trainings and events for volunteers – volunteer inductions, volunteer social events, and volunteering bespoke trainings
- Coordinate ‘Art Explorers At’ trips to cultural venues
- Increase knowledge within the team with research and advocacy of best practice
- Contribute to marketing and messaging of the Community Programme through AE’s website and social media
- Lead on development of select programme areas, as required
- Work closely with the CPM to explore and build partnerships with new care settings

As a charity and grant-maker, we do this by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nurses, midwives and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to innovate, progress their careers and get through tough time.
As the Foundation’s Benevolent Grants Manager, you will use your extensive experience and skills to manage a first-class benevolent grants service at the RCN Foundation. The service is bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in making key decisions relating to our grant-making activity to individuals in need.
In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Benevolent Service until January 2027. Your role will involve managing the Benevolent Service Team and supporting them with assessing applications and agreeing grants. You will be experienced in monitoring trends in application rates and managing the service to respond to these in a timely manner for the beneficiaries. You will have experience of monitoring and reporting on the outcomes and impact of the service and identifying and responding to trends within the data and the wider economic landscape. You will ensure the online application portal on the CRM is used to its full potential to manage all grant applications. You will also provide support to individuals through the relevant and comprehensive signposting hub, which you will keep-up-to date ensuring it is tailored to the needs of the nursing and midwifery professions.
The RCN Foundation’s Benevolent Service is an early adopter of a digitalised approach to benevolent grant making and as such we are seen as one of the leading organisations in this area. Through this role you will continue to develop the digital service and be leading on the further development of a bespoke signposting hub to complement this approach. This role will provide a great way to build on your skills and experience and develop your potential.
As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need an in-depth knowledge of best practice in respect to hardship and benevolence across more than one country of the UK. You will need to have significant experience of working in a grant-making charities. Understanding and experience of the processes of managing a benevolent service including managing the grant-making activity and evaluating the impact of the Foundation’s support are essential.

You will have experience of working in grant-management to support individuals, showing them empathy, whilst supporting them is a professional and efficient manner.
You will be experienced in report writing, analysing data for trends and responding to these. You will be able to present information in a concise way to a range of stakeholders.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is looking for an Information Officer to join our busy and supportive team at an exciting time of rapid change in cystic fibrosis and the information landscape. Changes in clinical care, treatments and the experiences and needs of people with CF have prompted a dramatic increase in the breadth and volume of information we need to create. At the same time, AI, disinformation and misinformation mean accurate, trusted information is more important than ever.
To navigate the changing landscape of CF and health information, you’ll need editorial expertise and a commitment to engaging with and empowering the cystic fibrosis community through the development of high quality, engaging, accessible information in print and digital formats.
You will develop and maintain our extensive offer of health and other information, including our library of factsheets, special topic information packs, web content and videos aimed at people affected by cystic fibrosis and clinical teams. You will make sure that our resources meet the needs of our target audiences through sensitive and meaningful involvement with people with CF and healthcare professionals.
You will have experience of producing high quality, comprehensive information for people with health conditions from concept through to publication and a knack for making complex health information easy to understand. An understanding of and commitment to the criteria of the Patient Information Forum quality kitemark (the PIF TICK) is integral to the role.
This position will involve working on multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, being proactive in your approach and creating reactive information to address emerging issues. Strong organisational and time-management skills are therefore needed, as is the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with colleagues in the team and wider organisation, and a range of external stakeholders.

Role Overview
Glitch is looking for an Advocacy and Communications Manager to help support the charity's work — ensuring technology does not further or replicate discrimination towards Black women and gender-expansive people. This position offers the opportunity to lead on UK tech policy developing and promoting our Black feminist approach to key UK legislation through advocacy and communications to relevant audiences and stakeholders.
Specifically, you will lead on our tech-facilitated gender-based violence issue area, working on the Online Safety Act and engaging with relevant government ministers and parliamentarians, as well as our online violence against women coalition partners, and the Online Safety Act Network. This role blends elements to advocacy and pub The position is remote (UK only) and is a one year, fixed-to-permanent role, extension subject to funding.
Ideal Candidate
To be successful at Glitch, the Advocacy & Communications Manager must demonstrate an understanding of and passion for Black feminist thought, and the ability to translate this critical social theory into advocacy and communications work, specifically in pushing towards systemic change with/in: tech policy, digital rights, tech-facilitated gender-based violence and algorithmic injustice.
Our ideal candidate will have:

Minimum three years experience working in communications, policy or research function at a UK, EU or US think tank, charity or non-profit in the area of tech law, tech or digital policy, or human rights and technology.

A degree in a relevant field (i.e, public policy, international relations, law, computer science, digital media and society, culture, media and society, media and communications).

Knowledge of UK government and legislative decision-making processes.

Experience creating and disseminating complex information to various audiences across newsletters and social media.

Key Responsibilities
As the Advocacy and Communications Manager, you will support the team in working towards our mission in several core areas:
Advocacy (50%)

Support the Advocacy Director in the delivery of the Mitigation strand of advocacy work.

Implement all policy work related to tech-facilitated gender-based violence, including but not limited to our intimate image abuse work, non-criminal redress, and automated content moderation.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including Ofcom and UK regulatory bodies, our network engagements, civil society, and others, attending meetings as determined by the Advocacy Director.

Draft agendas for coalition meetings, taking minutes and actions, building and mobilising our partnership network around submissions, PMQs and other key parliamentary processes.

Undertake regular policy and media monitoring and share updates and intel

Support on the drafting of all external policy requests (briefings, statements, joint letters).

Build relationships with external key figures in the UK including government ministers and civil servants.

Own the management and updating of our CRM, ensuring monthly maintenance of our records of interactions with key individuals and organisations.
Strategic Communications (50%)

Ensure that communications outputs are of the highest standard and respond to the needs of the target audience(s) in order to inform or influence.

Develop communications strategies and content for all advocacy activities requiring public dissemination.

Create compelling content for social media posts, to promote awareness of our programmes and advocacy work.

Represent Glitch through writing blogs and commentary on issues relating to our core issues areas.

Lead and develop the content calendar for the newsletter, LinkedIn and Instagram.

Support with virtual or offline event promotion and meeting minutes.
Person Specification
Essential qualifications and experience

Experience with policy, research and/or campaigning work ideally in a social justice or tech for good environment.

Experience working in communications, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn

Experience working with communications software or platforms (our communications stack is Mailchimp and Canva).

Experience of writing and editing in a specific tone of voice, with a compelling style with excellent spelling, grammar and style.

IT skills, including Google Suite and Beacon CRM, and project management tools like ClickUp and Slack.
