Every day, millions of people skip meals or go without any food, driven to food insecurity by the cost-of-living crisis. FareShare is the UK’s largest food redistribution charity, working with a network of 18 independent organisations to make sure good quality surplus food reaches people who need it most, rather than being wasted. As the Major Donor Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with high-net-worth-individuals to secure income and support. Working within a sub-team of three including a Prospect Research Manager and the Senior Major Donor Manager, this role will have great support and work with the team to grow the major donor portfolio and achieve a team target. To be successful as the Major Donor Manager you will have proven experience in building and securing relationships with high-net-worth-individuals. This person will have secured relationships of either a four, five or six figure level. You will ideally have done this previously within a fundraising environment and understand how to engage potential donors. This person will be passionate about ending food insecurity and be excited to work with a collaborative team.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices. The salary for this role is £41,000 to £45,000.

About this Role

Together with the Director of Fundraising, the Philanthropy Manager will develop and deliver the Philanthropy Strategy, with the support of the Philanthropy Assistant.  This is a significant part of the organisation’s overall Supporter Engagement Strategy which focuses specifically on unrestricted income generation.  This role will raise unrestricted income through the development of Amref UK’s Major Gifts programme - the Mbele Movement - by identifying and cultivating new high net worth supporters, and inspiring them to make unrestricted, multi-year major gifts, in line with the Philanthropy Strategy. The Philanthropy Manager is also responsible for nurturing and growing our existing portfolio of philanthropists and philanthropic organisations by building strong relationships and securing unrestricted income in line with the Supporter Engagement Strategy.

The National Influencing Manager will play a central role in ensuring what the Society thinks about the big issues affecting people affected by dementia is acted upon by national decision makers. About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. Blue Marine Foundation is seeking a Programme Manager who will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Convex Seascape Survey and lead relations with the project’s funder. This role may suit someone from a corporate or account management background, preferably local to London or the southeast and willing to travel internationally as needed. This is an incredible chance to work on pioneering global science project and to join a highly impactful charity at the cutting edge of marine conservation.

The Convex Seascape Survey is two years into a five-year, multi-million-pound pioneering research project working to quantify and understand blue carbon stored in the coastal ocean floor and its potential to help mitigate climate change. Convex Seascape Survey is a partnership between Blue Marine Foundation, Convex Insurance Limited and the University of Exeter, delivered in partnership with a consortium of over sixteen other organisations.

Project management

· Lead the project management process, matched to the project grant agreement, including oversight of project finance and all deliverables.

· Coordination of project partners to ensure activities and deliverables are achieved in keeping with quarterly milestones.

· Relationship management with project partners, serving as a main point of contact and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with the project’s progress and outcomes.

· Responsible for organising and feeding into Steering Committee meetings, as well as contributing as required to Advisory Group meetings.

· Managing supplier relationships, overseeing contracts and work package delivery. 

· Representing the project at relevant conferences and forums or visiting fieldwork sites. International travel will be required at times.

Reporting

· Report progress into the steering committee on a quarterly basis, flagging areas of concern and actioning steering committee advice.

Finance

· Overseeing budget spending data for the project with support from Blue Marine’s finance team, and co-ordinate invoicing and budget reporting for the partners.

· Liaising closely with Blue Marine’s finance team to ensure efficient deployment and tracking of project funds. 

· Coordinating finance reports for the funder and partners. 

Communications

· Present the Project at public conferences and various stakeholder events

· Supporting the communications lead in delivery of project outreach through press, digital and social media

· Contribute interviews or quotes for press on project developments.

· Assisting the development and delivery of a bespoke, project-linked education programme

The successful applicant will be highly organised, with a rigorous approach to project management. Desired experience includes:

· Successful delivery of multi-million pound, multi-year research programmes or other projects

· Track record of high-impact project management, accurate reporting and successful project delivery

· Competent and confident public-speaker with the ability to communicate complex subjects to a range of audiences which could include corporate, political and public audiences

The merger of Fight for Sight and Vision Foundation on 1st April 2023 will enable us to address both questions. By combining our strengths and expertise we’ll be the only significant national funder with the efficiency, capability, and capacity to increase investment in medical research and social improvement. Together we can mitigate both the prevalence and impact of sight loss.

We have a clear ambition, led by our CEO, Keith Valentine, who has valuable lived experience of sight loss. This ambition includes retail growth plans and an income generation strategy to open more shops over the next 5 years. We currently operate 11 shops selling donated goods, including an online eBay shop.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops, and is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction in the UK and internationally. Dogs Trust are going through a period of growth, with recruitment for two Senior New Partnerships Managers due to the existing Lead getting an internal promotion. There are continuing plans to drive new business through long-term strategic partnerships.

Reporting to the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a key role as part of the Fundraising Team by providing the highest levels of fundraising and event administration support to ensure the provision of seamless, excellent supporter care and assistance to our supporters.  Specific fundraising streams will include, but not be limited to, London Marathon, Other Runs and Challenges, Community Fundraising, Special Events and other streams as needed.

Whilst this role is primarily providing administrative and stewardship support for fundraising and event activities, there will be opportunities to be involved with all other aspects of the charity and the development of future fundraising initiatives and events.

The successful candidate will need to be a good team player, able to work independently; flexible; hard working and prepared to play an enthusiastic role in helping to deliver excellent supporter care and increased fundraising income. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

In this position you will:

· Be a primary contact point for our London Marathon runners to provide excellent customer care and increase fundraising potential

· Answer general public and supporter enquiries that come in by telephone, email, social media and WhatsApp groups and mail in a way that makes them feel important and valued regardless of the nature of their enquiry

· Assist with the processing of all income (cash, cheques, online platform donations)  correctly into the Donorfy database, and thank or pass to relevant team members for thanking in a timely manner

· Record as necessary enquiries, correspondence and responses on our Donorfy database

· Be a primary point of contact for our Challenge Event fundraisers.  Build excellent relationships with them and provide materials and support, liaising before, during and following their activity/event as needed

· To work with the team to provide support for key fundraising activities such as the London Marathon and other challenge and running events.  This will include assisting with event administration, proactively making telephone calls in response to applications for places in London Marathon and to encourage fundraising, answering telephone calls, responding to emails WhatsApp and Facebook messages, thanking participants, sending materials to participants and updating records on Donorfy

· Monitoring Social Media and assisting with providing content for these channels/platforms

· Communications support: this may include contributing content for appeals, website and enewsletters and will include monitoring stewardship schedules and deadlines where needed

· Act as liaison for BRUK’s administration where needed with our fulfilment house and/or other suppliers

· Liaise with finance and/or Head of Fundraising as required

It is essential that you have at least 12–15 months experience of working within the Third Sector in a supporter care and/or fundraising event administrative role

· Time management – you must be able to effectively manage your time and workload

· Attention to detail -  you must be able to consistently produce accurate work

· IT literacy – you must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and, ideally, PowerPoint

· Familiarity with the use of social media

· Experience of using a CRM database

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.
