Job Summary

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Executive. Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team, reporting into the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, the role will support the development of our Principal giving programme (highest level funders of seven figure+). You will focus on the administration of the programme: preparing briefings, written correspondence, data base management and working closely with the Senior Principal Gifts Manager to create compelling proposals. Alongside supporting this, you will have your own portfolio of five to six figure funders and prospects and will need to maintain a high level of organisation and excellent communication to build both internal relationships and external relationships with donors and prospects.

The role will provide substantial opportunity for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation, particularly as the ambition is to grow this role into a manager level securing higher income targets.

Main Responsibilities

Fundraising

· Raise income in line with agreed personal targets and KPI’s, contributing to the Philanthropy team’s current annual income target of £7m+.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager in their management of seven-figure gifts.

· Establish strong cross-Museum relationships to develop programme ideas in line with funders’ interests and support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager to craft compelling cases for support.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the seven-figure gift level.

· Prepare written briefings for senior management for meetings with prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.

· Ensure all required gift reporting is delivered to the highest standards, supporting the development of robust evaluation processes with colleagues where needed.

· Promote best practice in fundraising across the NHM.

Finance and Administration

· Ensure that Raisers Edge is updated regularly and in line with the requirements for each event or activity and work closely with key database managers to ensure records are kept up to date.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, wider Philanthropy team and Director of Development, with meetings, visits and event organisation, including, supporting the delivery of events and writing briefings ahead of donor meetings.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager and Head of Philanthropy with Raiser’s Edge data- inputting and gift administration, including gift processing, acceptance and due diligence forms, ensuring full and timely records of all activity are kept on the database.

 General

· Stay informed of key developments within the sector by monitoring government and third-sector policies and relevant publications.

· Attend evening and occasional weekend meetings and events, as required within the nature of the post.

· Assist with other duties that may be reasonably required.

Person Specification

Essential

What you will be doing:

•  Provide excellent customer service to members, ensuring they are aware of and can access their full range of membership benefits.

• Manage applications for individual and corporate membership, including working with the Admissions Committee to approve new applications and ensure the journey from application to member runs smoothly.
• Maintain the CRM database of members and organisations, ensuring the data held is as accurate.
• Create and share reports from member data for various internal stakeholders including the Membership Manager, Operations Manager, Association Council and the EDI working group.

This role is key to support our members by facilitating the maintenance of specialty postgraduate curricula in seven pathology specialties and subspecialties, as well as ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements of the GMC.

About the role

Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
• Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
• Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
• Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
• Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.

Increasing and diversifying the sources of grant funding for A Rocha UK’s work is key to our fundraising strategy. The Grants and Trusts Officer will play a key role identifying, securing, and managing grants from a range of sources, including small trusts, large foundations, and Church denominations. In doing so, they will work closely with programme staff , CEO and Finance Director to develop funding bids, and coordinate closely with other members of the fundraising team, such as the Major Donor Officer. A little bit about the role 

The trusts fundraiser role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.

We are now looking for a trusts fundraiser to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience in building relationships and securing income, helping us to build relationships with new trust funders while stewarding effectively our current trust and foundation relationships.

The successful candidate will work closely with the head of fundraising and the fundraising manager to implement Frontline’s annual fundraising plan, taking specific responsibility for researching, building relationships with, writing persuasive proposals to and securing income from new trust and foundation funders, while also providing excellent stewardship and reporting to current funders. The fundraising team is supported by the marketing, events and communications staff of the external relations division.

Some key responsibilities include:

• To develop a pipeline of potential trust funders through prospect research, the development of strong relationships, and writing of persuasive, creative and inspiring applications. 
• To arrange meetings and engagement opportunities with new funders, including ensuring that other Frontline staff are involved in supporting applications and pitches where appropriate. 
• To account manage a portfolio of existing trust supporters, providing excellent stewardship and planning and writing high quality grant and funding reports in line with reporting deadlines. 
• To work closely with other teams at Frontline, particularly the fellowship team and evaluation team, to develop proposals and reports, bring funders closer to our work and help inspire a culture of fundraising across the charity.

A little bit about you 

You will be an experienced fundraiser, with experience in securing grants from trusts and foundations in particular. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven and passionate about delivering persuasive cases for support through crafting creative and imaginative funding proposals.

We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. What the job involves

We’re on the lookout for a Direct Marketing Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including direct dialogue, direct mail, digital and telephone, helping fund research that will save and improve lives.

In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising strategy and continue investment in Acquisition. You’ll drive on campaigns across a broad range of channels, with the aim of recruiting new, and re-engaging, lapsed regular and cash supporters. You’ll look for ways to test and innovate to drive the lowest attrition, best ROI and strongest lifetime value. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights.

What we want from you

Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment, you’ll also have a range of channel experience and marketing knowledge, ideally gained from a fundraising environment.

You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you’ll be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance.

Key Responsibilities 

• Contribute to the writing of consistently high-quality funding applications and bid documents which are accurate, substantiated, and contain compelling content.  Ensure these are submitted to deadline and in line with the funders criteria as well as DMWS aims. 

• Write, edit and submit evaluation reports as required by the funder – working with the Grant Manager and operational colleagues for support. 

• Develop, update, and maintain an electronic project bid library resource, including written templates and application responses.

• Research and assess potential opportunities to obtain funding from grant making trusts and foundations, organisations, in order to sustain and develop DMWS services against strategic aims.
