Overall purpose

The Employment Adviser (EA) plays a key role in supporting refugees and people from refugee backgrounds to progress towards and secure sustainable employment. The EA provides tailored employment advice and guidance, helping clients build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to navigate the UK job market. This role will work with clients at various stages of their employment journey, with a particular focus on those in the earlier stages of understanding career options, developing employability skills, and exploring education, training, and volunteering opportunities.

The EA will deliver one-to-one and group-based employability support, collaborate with employers and volunteers to source opportunities for clients, and maintain strong relationships with referral and support partners to ensure a holistic approach to employment support.

Amaze is a Sussex-based charity that supports families with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Amaze’s fundraising is growing. About the job

As our Community and Events Fundraiser, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks. You will help plan fundraising events, organise our presence at community activities, and support our wonderful volunteers. A big part of your job will be building strong relationships with schools and community groups, encouraging them to get involved and supporting them in their fundraising efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for organising events, liaising with schools, youth groups and artists, supporting volunteers and supporting community fundraisers. You will be a mix of office and home-based, with some days at events and activities within Brighton & Hove.

Being a Head of Fundraising at St Wilfrid’s

As an interim Head of Fundraising, covering maternity leave, you will need strong leadership skills, a passion for fundraising with a track record for delivering financial results, and a desire to work for a meaningful cause. This role leads an incredible team of 12 dedicated fundraising professionals who, along with the support of our event volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. Their dedication to, and care for, our supporters generates over £4 million annually, which is vital for funding our care.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our fundraising department thrives, and will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive fundraising budget, including forecasting for the future, working closely with the Director of Income Generation
• Developing effective fundraising programmes in all revenue streams, identifying priority areas – to enhance the fundraising portfolio of income generation activities; consistently evaluating and adjusting plans and strategies
• Ensuring the close management of income and expenditure, making adjustments where necessary to ensure good financial management
• Leading, building and motivating the Fundraising team, providing leadership and management and overseeing development and training, to enable individuals to reach their full potential
• Collaborating closely with our marketing and retail heads as one of our department leads

We are recruiting a Therapeutic Practitioner to deliver For Baby’s Sake in the North East of England. The post will be home-based with some elements of hybrid working. Applicants must be based in the North East of England and be able to travel across the region to deliver a hybrid of online and face-to-face sessions.

For Baby’s Sake is an innovative, therapeutic, trauma-informed programme. We work with both co-parents individually, supporting a recovery framework to overcome the devastating effects of domestic abuse in their relationship. We acknowledge and explore unresolved and often complex childhood trauma and change harmful patterns of behaviour to develop a home environment where children can flourish. We adopt an attachment-focused parenting approach that enhances the opportunity for children to feel safe and secure, with parents who are emotionally available and attuned to all their needs.

There must be a current pregnancy to harness change motivations, a desire on behalf of both parents to coparent their unborn baby (although they do not have to be in a relationship), and we can work with the families up until the baby reaches the age of 2. The significance of this two-year timescale is evidenced in all recent child development research.

Trauma-informed practice is an approach adopted by For Baby’s Sake, which is grounded in the understanding that trauma exposure can impact an individual’s neurological, biological, psychological, and social development. You will have the opportunity to support the continued evolution of For Baby’s Sake whilst ensuring fidelity to the programme and sustaining the ethos and values of the For Baby’s Sake Trust. 

The For Baby’s Sake multi-disciplinary team consists of highly trained therapeutic practitioners capable of establishing and maintaining meaningful, trusting relationships that consistently guarantee engagement and, crucially, provide the framework for deeper, therapeutic exploration that allows co-parents to understand the impact of their own parenting experiences. To be part of this exceptional team, you must have demonstrable therapeutic skills, sound knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and adults, infant mental health, and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse, attachment, and the impact of unresolved trauma.

This is a full-time position on a permanent contract (37.5 hours per week). There will be an expectation of occasional travel to locations across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Flyde Coast.

Position: S11292 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Fylde Coast. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £16,461 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week hours per week

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 July 2026. Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2028

The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Supporting stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

About You

You will have experience in:

• Experience/background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities

• A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload.

Purpose

The Philanthropy Leads, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, are responsible for inspiring new prospective, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors into greater involvement with Christians Against Poverty. They aim to draw supporters closer to the work we do, deepening their relationship and support of CAP. Income from CAP¿s major donors is vital for the future expansion of CAP in the UK.

Each Philanthropy Lead may be allocated one or more area of Philanthropy engagement in order to specialise in, but will be expected to support in any area as required. Such areas include:

Along with seeking direct support for the organisation Christians Against Poverty, there is also an expectation for the postholders to support the raising of funds for the wider movement, particularly for local Church frontline partners.

They themselves will be an experienced and confident relationship builder, communicator and fundraiser, cultivating relationships with high-value donors and partners to achieve ambitious targets.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Implementation & Fundraising 
• Implementation of a strategic plan to significantly increase major donor income, with a target of 17.5% of overall revenue within 3 years.
• Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for major donor income, aligned with CAP's overall strategic priorities.
• Execution of market research and competitor analysis to identify new funding opportunities and best practice in Philanthropic fundraising.
• Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, in order to identify points of engagement and draft appropriate funding bids.
• Represent CAP at high-level events and conferences to build relationships with potential donors and partners.

Major Donor Development

• Manage a designated caseload of high-net-worth individuals or trusts, cultivating deep and meaningful relationships.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, personalised communications, and bespoke stewardship plans to cultivate and steward major donors.
• Develop compelling restricted funding projects to attract major donor investment.
• Implement a donor recognition program to acknowledge and celebrate major donor support.

Philanthropy Team Membership

• A member of the Philanthropy Team of our Mission and Movement Directorate.
• Providing peer support and development with other members of the Philanthropy Team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
• Work with the Head of Philanthropy to set ambitious targets and KPIs for the postholder, ensuring they are aligned with overall fundraising goals.
• Ensure the timely submission of funding applications and effective stewardship of grant and donor relationships.
• Implement robust systems and processes for donor relationship management, data analysis, and performance tracking.

Impact & Reporting 

• Ensure that the CRM is updated with engagements, proposal submissions and engagement plans in a timely fashion.
• Develop compelling narratives and impact reports that effectively communicate the impact of major donor support.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular updates on fundraising progress to the Head of Philanthropy.

Innovation & Best Practices 

• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in major donor fundraising.
• Implement innovative fundraising strategies, such as engaging new philanthropists, digital engagement, corporate engagement and high-impact events.
• Evaluate philanthropy activities with the rest of the team and the Fundraising Insight & Innovation team to develop a deeper understanding of supporters and identify new prospects, making data-informed decisions.
• Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Philanthropy Team.
• Create opportunities for supporters to engage at a senior level and deepen their relationship with CAP, working with the CEO and other senior staff.

Communications & Campaign Management: 

• Plan philanthropy initiatives that in order to produce excellent bids, proposals, events, and reports, delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with the Brand and Digital Engagement teams to align messaging and campaigns.
• Ensure philanthropy plans align with brand guidelines and fundraising regulations.

Measurable Outputs:

• Implementation of an annual philanthropy plan that contributes to the wider long-term fundraising strategy.
• Deliver assigned agreed annual income targets for philanthropy which may include:
• Major Donor income
• Trusts & foundations income
• Corporate income

• Number of major donor prospects engaged and converted to a managed relationship

Skills required

• A proven fundraiser who can inspire, influence and deliver results
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in securing philanthropic support and building partnerships
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent and passionate written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Strong financial literacy, including experience managing budgets, tracking performance and forecasting income
• Able to analyse complex situations, identify challenges, and make sound, data-driven decisions
• A high level of emotional intelligence 

 

Essential:

• Proven track record of success in securing significant major gifts (5-6 figures) from high-net-worth individuals.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-value fundraising.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of fundraising best practices and regulatory requirements.

Desirable:

• Experience of managing budgets for projects and campaigns.

Educational requirements

Job description
The Programmes and Funding Officer will provide administrative support on grant-making processes and support the delivery of key NHS staff recognition and support funds. This role will work with clients at various stages of their employment journey, with a particular focus on those in the earlier stages of understanding career options, developing employability skills, and exploring education, training, and volunteering opportunities.

The EA will deliver one-to-one and group-based employability support, collaborate with employers and volunteers to source opportunities for clients, and maintain strong relationships with referral and support partners to ensure a holistic approach to employment support.
