Job description

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Data Protection Coordinator to support the Woodland Trusts compliance programmes and obligations under the UK GDPR compliance.

The Role:
•    Assist with the coordination of data privacy audits to promote organisational adherence to data privacy controls.
•    Support in the deliver of the Data Protection Action Plan. 
•    Manage the shared inbox for data privacy and respond to queries internally and externally. 
•    Maintain and monitor business systems for compliance. 
•    Support drafting and updating relevant policies and procedure for approval and raise employee awareness of UK GDPR principles and changes as needed. 
•    Support individual rights requests and respond to any breaches in a timely manner.
•    Support the creation and delivery of the Data Protection KPI’s reporting, highlighting to the Executive Leadership Team data privacy governance.
•    This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average. 

The Candidate:
•    Experience of data protection with additional experience of broader business compliance.
•    Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to plan and organise your time effectively.
•    Knowledge of individual rights requirements and expectations.
•    Experience establishing and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality, respect, trust and credibility at all levels. 
•    Knowledge of Data Privacy legislation including but not limited to Uk GDPR, PECR, DUAA and DPA.
•    Experience supporting with and producing quality reporting.
•    Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
