Main purpose of post
This role is to lead and be responsible for the development, management and
delivery of WPCC’s high quality, professional counselling and complementary
therapy services for adults, and for children and young people, at the Cavendish
Centre and in outreach locations. This role supports the holistic well-being of
service users, ensuring the services are safe, effective, accessible, and aligned
with the charity’s values and objectives

 To lead and be responsible for the delivery of effective service provision,
including outreach services, and to maintain the ethos and high
standard of the supportive care offered.
 To lead a service that provides one-to-one and small group
complementary therapy services and one-to-one counselling for around
1,000 beneficiaries per annum, including outreach provision in hospitals.
 To be responsible for the management of a complementary therapy and
counselling services budget of around £500,000 per annum.
Leadership & Service Development
 Lead and develop complementary therapy and counselling services to
meet the needs of clients, families, and carers.
 Plan and schedule timetables and freelance staffing rotas to maximise
the availability of counselling and complementary therapies within
available budgets, maximising freelancer availability and efficient
appointment scheduling.
 Evaluate and enhance service delivery in line with best practices, clinical
guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
 Identify and implement service improvements, based on user feedback,
evidence-based practice, and sector developments.
 Work effectively with the Head of Cancer Services and other service leads
to ensure counselling and complementary therapies are an integral part
of the wider WPCC service offer to people affected by cancer.
 To be part of a service lead team which can provide leadership cover
across all services to address day-to-day operational issues, including
safeguarding cover (for adult and children’s services) and maintenance
of service availability.
Freelance therapist management
 Recruit, support, and manage a multidisciplinary team of freelance
counsellors, therapists, and volunteers.
 Ensure therapists delivering these services are of a suitable quality, and
have up-to-date and relevant accreditation/professional registration to practice, including clinical supervision arrangements, insurance, CPD
and DBS checks.
 Provide professional oversight of freelance therapists ensuring all
professional standards are met
 Ensure all team members adhere to safeguarding, clinical governance,
and confidentiality standards.
 To ensure therapists delivering these services are of a suitable quality
and have up-to-date and relevant accreditation/professional registration
to practice, including clinical supervision arrangements, insurance, CPD
and DBS checks.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ethical standards and legal
requirements in counselling and complementary therapy (e.g. BACP,
CNHC, HCPC).
 Oversee risk assessments, safeguarding processes, and incident
reporting procedures.
 Monitor and report on service performance using agreed metrics and
impact evaluation tools.
Client Care & Support
 Ensure services are inclusive, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and
tailored to individual needs.
 Act as a senior point of contact for complex cases, ensuring appropriate
pathways and referrals.
 Maintain a client-centred approach, fostering dignity, respect, and
empowerment.
Partnerships & Engagement
 Build and maintain relationships with health professionals, community
organisations, and funders.
 Liaise as required with external stakeholders, such as healthcare
professionals, safeguarding teams, education providers, social services,
and third sector partners.
 Promote the service through outreach, events, and stakeholder
engagement.
 Contribute to grant applications, reports, and impact assessments to
support sustainability and growth.
Governance, Administration & Reporting
 Manage budgets for therapy and counselling services, ensuring costeffectiveness.
 Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and data
protection policies.
 Ensure suitable collection of activity data and produce service activity
and evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders.

We’re looking for a Senior STH Practitioner who can manage the delivery of high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes in London for adults and young people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.

We’re looking for candidates who have proven experience of managing a team and an understanding of how STH programmes can benefit individuals and improve lives.  We need someone with horticultural knowledge and experience to plan the seasonal horticultural resources required for our programs and delivery spaces.

Based at Thrive’s London centre in Battersea Park. Some days will be spent at outreach centres within London, requiring some travel. The role will involve occasional travel to the Thrive Centres in Reading and Birmingham.

We Are Survivors are looking for a Nightingale Navigator to join the team. You will support the direct delivery of our Nightingale services that supports the non-offending family and loved ones of survivors who are engaged in the Criminal Justice system.

You’ll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications and working in partnership with all Nightingale Project members. The Role

As Digital Learning Project Manager you will play a key role in helping the Law Society deliver the L&D strategy for its members. This is an 18-month fixed term contract (FTC) role.

The role:

This person will pick up these relationships and ensure continuity as well as assessing new applications.  This role will take a lead on strategic initiatives, driving impact in the Gender Justice and Children and Young People’s Rights priorities.  Committed to social justice, the candidate will be ambitious to help create change using the foundation's full range of tools and approaches. This role will be responsible for informing, influencing and monitoring the implementation of the AFF strategy and programme, including developing and assessing proposals for activities, leading on the delivery of impact, and maintaining external networks to provide strategic guidance to the Foundation.

Convening collaborations, commissioning research and mobilising networks to create change will be core aspects of this role in addition to supporting other team members with expertise relating to the two sectors. This person will be responsible for managing the larger grant relationships throughout out the grant cycle, capturing and embedding learning along the way. They will also be responsible for site visits and facilitating online discussions with organisations, as well as representing the foundation at sector forums and events concentrating on the AFF priority areas.

The culture at the foundation is collaborative and nurturing, so working closely with colleagues to share ideas and learn from each other will be essential in this role.

The person:
The successful candidate will have substantial grant-making experience in addition to having knowledge of the Children and Young People and/or Gender Justice sectors, perhaps gained through work in the voluntary or local authority sector, or through another funder. Highly organised, intellectually curious and pragmatic, this person will be able to unpick complex information and will be confident and experienced in assessing grant applicants’ financial information. They will understand the charity funding world and importantly, the challenges faced by marginalised communities across the UK in the face of widespread inequity. The AFF team works with the Involving Young People’s Collective, candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the value of co-production.

IT confident and systematic in their approach, this person will also be confident and empathetic team leader in addition to being an excellent communicator, both in person and in written work. Excellent attention to detail, thorough and collaborative in their approach to work, this person will be a real team player whilst being able to work under their own steam, working in a fast-paced environment.

A broad understanding and experience of systems change principles and an appreciation of the nuanced intersections between the various priorities of the AFF programme will be important to success in this role. The ability to contribute to the effectiveness of a busy team through encouragement and inspiration will also be important.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the coordination and administration of Outdoor Learning programmes. Working from a working upland farm in Cumbria, you will play a key role in ensuring apprenticeships, training courses, traineeships and Outdoor Learning sessions run smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating bookings and managing enquiries via phone, email and in person
• Maintaining accurate records and updating databases, including Salesforce
• Supporting the Learning team with risk assessments, health and safety compliance and safeguarding processes
• Producing reports and collating feedback to measure impact
• Liaising with contractors, farm staff and partners to ensure resources and facilities are in place
• Assisting with the organisation of events, networks and training sessions

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to programmes that connect children and young people with the natural environment, particularly those who face barriers to accessing the outdoors.

About You

You will be an experienced administrator who is methodical, reliable and confident working independently as well as part of a team. You will enjoy variety in your work and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

The Successful Applicant

• Significant background in leading cross-functional teams with a blend of clinical and operational responsibilities.
• Deep understanding of clinical governance, patient/donor safety, healthcare compliance, and donor management pathways.
• Strong financial management expertise, with experience overseeing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
