Responsibilities of our Health & Safety and Environment Administrator: 

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Health, Safety & Environment team 

- Manage shared inboxes, responding to or escalating enquiries as appropriate 

- Coordinate meetings, training and site visits, including scheduling, logistics and action tracking 

- Collect, collate, organise and report on Health & Safety and Environmental data 

- Support the continuous improvement of systems, processes and documentation 

- Maintain accurate records, documentation, trackers and team planning tools

About the Health & Safety and Environment team: 

The team is a multi-tasking team that undertakes most Health and Safety tasks in-house, working closely with most other teams within Cats Protection. The team is made up of a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator and 4 regional officers who cover the whole of the UK. The team deal with the Cats Protection retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, branch volunteer enquiries and more.

What we’re looking for in our Health & Safety and Environment Administrator: 

- Experience of providing administration support to a health & safety or environment team 

- Experience of handling and collating health & safety and/or environmental data, including tracking and reporting on utility consumption and energy usage 

- Experience working with a range of internal stakeholders and responding to queries 

- Experience managing shared inboxes, calendars and coordinating meetings 

- Strong organisational, communication and collaboration skills 

- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programmes 

- Proactive attitude to problem solving and managing administrative tasks

Your role

As a Community Manager in South Wales (Gower to Monmouthshire) and The Three Counties of England (Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire), you'll be at the heart of one of the most stunning coastal and inland areas in the UK, working within the incredible communities that make the RNLI so special. This is your chance to make a real impact by bringing people together and building strong connections that drive our lifesaving mission forward. You will be connected to the RNLI community in your area and the primary point of contact for all things engagement -fundraising, retail and visitor experience.

You will be responsible for:

• Being strongly connected to the RNLI community in your area, acting as the primary point of contact for all things engagement – from fundraising and retail to visitor experience
• Empowering volunteer engagement crew to do what they do best, engaging the public, sharing our RNLI vision and growing vital support for our cause
• Supporting volunteer engagement crew to achieve key income, footfall and contact goals and seeking ways to engage new audiences
• Being part of an amazing regional team, working collaboratively to shape the future of RNLI engagement and provide an outstanding level of care to staff, volunteers and supporters
• Identifying and developing new income streams and partnership opportunities within your community

About you

You'll be a natural communicator, a true people person who thrives on building relationships, energising teams, and making things happen. Strategic and adaptable, you're just as comfortable leading from the front as you are working behind the scenes to get results.

You'll be:

To be considered as the Community Manager, you will need:

• Proven significant experience of engaging supporters, volunteers and the general public
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• People leadership experience, ideally in leading volunteers in a collaborative environment
• Experience of seeking out and implementing new opportunities for improved performance
• Experience of supporting and nurturing corporate or community partnerships
• Wales is a bilingual country, with both Welsh and English used routinely. Whilst the ability to speak and write in Welsh is not an essential requirement for the role, an understanding of the importance of Welsh language and culture is essential

Please note, this role requires a significant level of travel within the designated region of Wales, North West England, West Midlands and Isle of Man but will also require occasional travel to other RNLI assets including our support centre in Poole and occasional overnight stays.

Team: Estates and Construction

Responsibilities of our Surveyor: 

- Manage a designated property portfolio, delivering repairs, planned maintenance, and minor redevelopment projects

- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to identify and deliver effective estate solutions

- Work closely with Estates Support, Construction, Safety, Health & Environment, and Legal teams, as well as external consultants and contractors, to maintain a safe, compliant, and effective estate

- Assess property issues and implement appropriate solutions

- Lead property transactions and estate projects, including retail and commercial lease acquisitions and disposals

- Negotiate with agents, landlords, neighbouring occupiers, solicitors, and local or statutory authorities

- Procure and manage contractors, ensuring appropriate vetting and compliance 

- Oversee property works in partnership with retail and operational managers

- Maintain accurate records across estate, facilities management, and cloud-based systems

- Prepare regional and property-specific reports

About the Estates and Construction team: 

Estates and Construction manages a diverse property portfolio that includes cat adoption and homing centres, charity shops, multi-pen sites, and residential properties. As we expand our vibrant team, we are seeking an additional Surveyor to help deliver high-quality property support across the estate. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact on the welfare of cats, volunteers, and colleagues.

What we’re looking for in our Surveyor: 

- Flexible regional portfolio covering the South East of England and a small number of outer London properties. Applicants should live within a reasonable travelling distance of the region

- Level 6 or higher professional surveying qualification and current membership of a professional institution

- Post qualification experience of surveying in a property or facilities management environment 

- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

- Working Knowledge of retail/commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals 

- Multi-site and use property management and compliance experience 

- Experience of working on and managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k

- Ability to work within a small team and externally with professionals and third parties
