We are looking for friendly volunteers to help our shop management team assist customers and donors, and ensure the shop is tidy and well stocked. Whether you have a passion for fashion and love chatting to customers, or you would prefer to be behind the scenes in our stockroom, your help could make a difference in your local community.

Our shops are vital in helping us raise the funds needed to provide services such as community support services, specialist nurses, advice and information, education, and peer support.

What we need from you
This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example:
- face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins
- online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations
- marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
- completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Jumble Sales Organiser Volunteer
Would you like to raise funds, have fun and join a super team of volunteers who together make our Jumble Sales in Thatcham a great success? As Jumble Sales Organiser you would be helping to make everything run smoothly for the team.
Time Expectations: 1 Saturday every other month (plus preparations)
This could be a shared role and tasks may include:
· Booking the hall for future Jumbles
· Contacting the Jumble team before events to check availability
· Set up stalls, running a stall and packing away at the end
· Collecting any items/resources needed from the centre the day before

Duties

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at FareShare. We are the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors. We take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry, and get it to nearly 8,000 frontline charities and community groups.
The food we redistribute is nutritious and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week we provide enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people.
About the Volunteer Role
Demand for our support continues to increase, and we need to source food in a variety of ways to meet this demand.
This is where volunteering at the Food Collection comes in, and why it is so important and impactful.
We are holding our annual Food Collection event in-store at Tesco.
We need volunteers to help in-store, to ask shoppers to purchase long-life food items to donate, and collect the donations.
We are urgently in need of long-life items such as tinned goods, cereal, pasta and rice - as they last a long time and offer good variety.
The food collected is given to the local food charity who supports people in the local community.
Shift times
Volunteer shifts are one-off on Thursday 27 November, Friday 28 November and Saturday 29 November 2025.
Shift times are 9am-midday, midday-3pm, 3pm-6pm and 6pm-9pm.

The goal during your shift is to make shoppers aware that you are collecting food donations for charity, and to ask them to donate for Christmas.

Helping in our shops is a great way to help CHAS and, as well as helping us raise money to fund our vital services, you'll be part of a really great team of volunteers. You'll be meeting new people, using your skills or learning something new, and making sure our customers get a great welcome and all the assistance they need.
It's always great to see our volunteers chatting to customers and telling them about CHAS - and there's so much more to this role too: you could be sorting donations, getting stock ready for the shop floor, wielding a steamer or a duster, processing Gift Aid, operating the till (we will show you how), merchandising and displaying stock - you'll never have a dull moment.
It would be ideal if you could volunteer one shift each week, which is about four hours (but we're also happy to chat about more flexible times). No special skills are needed as we’ll show you what to do and we provide all the training you’ll need. But if you have any experience or particular interest please tell us, it may come in useful. It’s really easy to get your volunteering started.

Strategic Partnerships & Market Development (Higher Ed)
CoachBridge is preparing to launch a funded pilot of its inclusive coaching platform for neurodivergent students. We’re seeking a volunteer with experience in business development, partner outreach, or customer insight to help us identify and engage the right university stakeholders — while refining how we position the value of our solution.
This is a strategic, high-impact opportunity to shape our early go-to-market and partnership model in the education space, working closely with the founding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and map disability services, student wellbeing, and learning support departments across universities in the US, UK, EU, and Canada
- Identify key contacts and build a warm outreach list
- Draft and refine outreach messaging (we’ll co-create initial templates)
- Support 1:1 discovery outreach: short calls, emails, or surveys to:
- Understand their current needs and gaps
- Validate CoachBridge’s value proposition
- Identify potential funding or pilot pathways

Evolve is a respected charitable provider of low-cost mental health counselling.
Committed to making our services accessible to all, we are starting an ambitious new project to expand our online and face-to-face counselling, developing innovative ways for people to get help when and where they need it most.
Evolve is looking for a long-term volunteer to help coordinate the efforts of the team and to deliver on specific aspects of the innovative project:
