Westway Trust is seeking an enthusiastic part time Gardener who will take immense pride in the maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens across the Trust's 23 acres of land. You will be an effective, efficient and safety conscious gardener who ultimately will ensure the Trust's grounds and gardens and green spaces are always kept healthy and beautiful. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Gardening duties will include: Planting, monitoring the health of all plants and green spaces, watering and feeding plants, pruning trees and shrubs, fertilising and mowing lawns, weeding, dealing with pests and diseases, and keeping green spaces and walkways clean and clear of debris and litter / waste. 
• Working as part of the Grounds and Gardens team to maintain and improve soft and hard landscaping on Trust land as directed.
• Assisting in keeping Westway Trust’s land clean and tidy and reporting any damage.
• Co-operating with the Facilities Team, Events Team and other Westway Staff to deliver support to events as part of the wider organisation.
• Welcoming volunteers and community groups onto the estate to learn from the Grounds and Gardens team.
• Ensuring all relevant Health and Safety standards are adhered to with regards to personal safety, and the safety of members of the public using the gardens.
• Being responsible for the proper use, maintenance and safe storage of all plant, machinery, tools and equipment such as leaf blowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, graffiti removal equipment and mowers.
• Undertake planned and unplanned garden maintenance work on Trust grounds as directed.
• Engaging positively with the public and the diverse community in North Kensington and in accordance with our Equalities policies.

• Experience as a gardener.
• Good communication skills and team working skills.
• Ability to work using initiative and be proactive, reliable and flexible.
• Good knowledge of plants, horticulture, horticultural processes and good plant identification skills.

FSRH’s External Affairs Team influences policy and practice through evidence-based advocacy as well as raising awareness of SRH rights among the public. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health in the UK (APPG SRH) promotes awareness and understanding in Parliament of a range of issues relating to sexual and reproductive health across the life course (from menstruation to menopause and beyond). Backed by a passionate cohort of Parliamentarians and other stakeholders, the APPG is Co-Chaired by Dr Rupa Huq MP and Baroness Barker, supported by passionate Vice Chairs, Baroness Sugg and Maya Ellis MP.

About the role

This role plays an integral part in helping manage and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. As the Senior Manager and Deputy to the Director in the team, you will manage the team’s External Affairs Officer, and drive delivery of the ambitions contained in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision. As Manager to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare you will work directly with leading Parliamentarians and partners to manage and deliver the APPG’s annual programme of work and meetings.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare policy and a passion for improving society. A background in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as proven project management and events experience is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is a broad understanding of communications techniques to engage policy makers around the issues that clinicians and the public alike face.

Women’s Resource Centre is the national umbrella body for the UK women’s sector. We are currently recruiting for a Head of Operations to provide strategic and hands-on management of our operations, HR, governance and finance, ensuring a stable and supportive foundation for our work.

You’ll be a confident and inclusive leader with strong interpersonal skills and a track record of managing systems, people and organisational processes. You will play a key role in shaping and upholding our working culture, supporting a committed team, and helping us deliver for the women’s sector with clarity and accountability.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of operational delivery in a small charity setting, who brings energy, empathy, and a high level of organisation to their work. You will be committed to feminist values, social justice, and the strengthening of the UK women’s sector—particularly Black, minoritised and refugee women’s organisations.

Protect, the UK’s leading whistleblowing charity, is looking for an exceptional public-spirited Policy & Advocacy Officer, who will lead our anti-corruption work. The role is currently funded by the Joffe Charitable Trust. The role is 3 days (22.5hours) per week; can be spread over 3-5 days.  

The role is London based with hybrid and remote working options & occasional travel to Westminster. 

The role will entail proactively looking for advocacy opportunities and working with the Policy Team in Protect to progress important public policies, which further the protection of whistleblowers, support safe speaking up and tackle corruption in the UK. 

For 30 years we have provided legal advice to whistleblowers, campaigned for better legal protection for whistleblowing and supported organisations to create effective whistleblowing systems. With the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) turning their focus to whistleblowing, there could not be a more exciting time to join the anti-corruption fight.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, ambitious and a team player. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, with exceptional networking and stakeholder engagement skills. Those applying should have a degree in a relevant subject and work experience in a relevant field. Past or present experience working in Government, Parliament or for a regulator is highly desirable.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years. Jigsaw4u’s Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have recognised the need for dedicated staffing resource to hold the day-to-day responsibility for the service management function as part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

As a member of our SLT, you will help to deliver and shape and the organisation’s vision and strategy. It will be your responsibility to ensure that Jigsaw4u’s services achieve their goals, meet their strategic objectives and achieve our growth targets while being delivered to Jigsaw4u’s exceptionally high standards.

Under the direction of the CEO, the postholder’s areas of responsibility will be to:

• Line Manage the Service Managers, ensuring that their teams are high performing, reporting and data collection is of a high standard and relationships with funders and other stakeholders are outstanding.
• Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice within the charitable sector (and other sectors where relevant), to inform and update Jigsaw4u so that we take advantage of the latest approaches to change, innovation and development which can have a positive impact on our beneficiaries lives.
• Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the SLT to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review. Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
• Play a full part in the development of the SLT and deputise for the CEO as required. Work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and deliver an outstanding approach to people management, building a learning culture that delivers high quality, extensive support enabling people to achieve their best as a team.
• Represent Jigsaw4u at formal meetings with funders and other stakeholders and through submission of reports and data requests. Establish new, and strengthen existing, external relationships to promote Jigsaw4u’s profile, influence and reputation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and adherence to relevant professional codes and standards of good practice.
• Support the CEO in funding and tender applications
• Support the CEO and fundraising team in generating income

As a member of the SLT you will be expected, with training and support, to take an active part in supporting the whole organisation. Experience and aptitude to provide calm leadership and a supportive problem-solving approach to practical problems and judgements involving risk is necessary.
