The Corporate Partnerships team at UNICEF UK secures and manages long-term, multi-million-pound partnerships with major UK companies. Comprising two distinct teams, the Head of Corporate Partnerships – Business Development will lead the Business Development function, driving the acquisition of new corporate supporters. Alongside the Head of Corporate Partnerships – Partnership Development, you will jointly lead the overall Corporate Partnerships team, ensuring a unified and seamless approach to the corporate partnerships strategy.

We’re on the hunt for a new deputy head of our Shared Lives service.

What is Shared Lives?

Shared Lives is a little bit like fostering, but it’s for adults who need some support to live as independently as possible. Someone who needs support goes to live with one of our ace Shared Lives carers and they support them to live their best lives, do all the things they love and be part of their communities. PSS invented Shared Lives back in 1978 and it’s now become a national model of care that lots of other social care providers run. We’re really proud of that. It’s the most brilliant, safe and cost-effective form of care there is (and we’re not just biased – in October 2023, CQC rated 97% of Shared Lives schemes in England as good or outstanding, in comparison to just 78% for the wider social care sector!).

We have Shared Lives schemes in seven different places across England and North Wales – and we’ve got big plans to add to that.

What do we need out deputy head of Shared Lives to do?

Alongside the head of Shared Lives, your job will be to make sure each one of the services in Shared Lives is absolutely top-notch in every way:

• They provide excellent support to the people who use our Shared Lives service
• They support people to reach their goals
• Any issues that crop up are dealt with effectively and in line with our policies and procedures
• They run effectively and like clockwork (but are flexible enough to change things up when it’s needed – even if it’s how things have always been done);
• They’re performing well financially, they’re sustainable and they’re cost-effective
• Carers, PSS Shared Lives teammates and people we support all feel really well informed, motivated and part of a big family

You’ll be supported by a cracking team of service managers who will lead each of the seven individual regional services within Shared Lives. They’ll be looking to you to help them review and develop their services, looking at best practice and national/local strategic priorities together.

On a day-to-day basis, your work would involve things like:

• Getting behind our Shared Lives teams and offering them your support with Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance, safeguarding reports and complaints
• Leading the way when we win new contacts in new areas of the UK (the plan is to grow our schemes)
• Deputising for our head of Shared Lives: maintaining the risk register for services, identifying, managing, monitoring and escalating risks appropriately when our head of Shared Lives isn’t around
• Helping keep our Shared Lives carers and supported people feeling happy, connected, motivated and part of our big Shared Lives family
• Finding out what our carers and supported people need and how they feel things are going by heading out on the road to meet them
• Supporting our Shared Lives communications and engagement manager with nailing any info and insights they need for their role by sharing what you know, and supporting them with maintaining and introducing communications and engagement initiatives

Catching Lives supports people who are homeless or insecurely housed in Canterbury and East Kent. Stewardship is seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to head our Philanthropy Fund service. As part of our Leadership Team, you’ll champion biblical generosity, drive innovation, and lead a passionate team delivering exceptional service to high-impact donors.

You will lead a team of ten to deliver the vision for our Philanthropy Fund within Stewardship’s corporate strategy, lead and grow our Donor Advisory Board service, cultivate deep client relationships and expand our reach across philanthropy networks.  Driving income growth, providing data-led insights as well as representing Stewardship at key events.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader for our transformative LGBTQIA+ youth project. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in LGBTQIA+ young people’s lives, leading a dedicated and passionate team.

Main Responsibilities:

• To lead on planning and facilitating group sessions, activities and trips for the Project Indigo group. Planning to incorporate the views and interests of members and develop opportunities for partnership working.
• Managerial responsibilities, including line management, budget management, monitoring and evaluation
• Developing and delivering strategic projects within the City and Hackney CAMHS Alliance to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusivity

Main Requirements:

• Strong experience in LGBTQIA+ youth work, and understanding intersecting social issues impacting young LGBTQIA+ people
• Understanding of best practice for supporting young LGBTQIA+ people and promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusivity within youth services
• Management experience on multi-faceted projects; strong leadership skills, ability to take initiative, and work effectively to manage competing priorities

The post holder will join a team of safeguarding officers who will carry specific responsibility for individual cases, undertake risk assessments, lead training and advise churches. The post will be aligned with specific Methodist districts and provide support to colleagues across the regional area requiring regular travel.

Hours of work: 24 hrs per week. (salary will be prorated to the hours worked)

The successful candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification, experience in child and/or adult protection or significant demonstrable relevant work experience.

Are you passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing?

We’re looking for a compassionate, child-centred practitioner to join our friendly Children and Young People’s team as an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner.

This role focuses on delivering structured 1:1, group, and class-based emotional wellbeing support for children aged 8–13. You’ll work closely with schools to help children develop emotional literacy, resilience, and coping skills, with a particular focus on supporting Year 6 transitions.

You’ll build safe, trusted relationships, adapt interventions to meet individual needs, and coordinate support with families, schools, and other professionals. Our Safety Net service has been working with children and families since 1995, and children’s voices are at the heart of everything we do.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery and development of our Gateway programme for women.  Alongside the daily management of staff and volunteers, this role is responsible for ensuring that the services provided are safe, best practice and compliant with all relevant policies and procedures. 

As we seek to grow and reach more people, this role will play a vital role in undertaking strategic reviews of all current services and informing new service delivery and design.  This will be undertaken in partnership with other service leads and working closely with senior leadership colleagues.

Main duties:

· Oversight and delivery of all programme activities relating to Gateway including drop ins, one-to-one support, group activities and faith based activities.

· Establish and drive the overall strategic vision for the service in line with the operational plan and informed by the needs of the people the service exists for

· Lead the design and development of new services in line with client needs, resources, staffing and strategic purpose of the team.

· Hold direct budget responsibility for day-to-day operations and in line with any specific funding requirements

· Be an active member of the Off the Fence leadership team

· Review and implement policies and procedures for safe service delivery

· Provide reports on key activity, outputs and impact in line with KPIs and other reporting requirements.

· Line manage the team of key workers, providing regular performance reviews, pastoral support and identifying training needs.

· Support with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, including in-house training and supervision

· Ensuring that key workers have a good working knowledge of local services, referral routes, other agencies and when to highlight safeguarding concerns.

· Provide pastoral support for the team and volunteers in the service

· Lead Bible studies, prayer meetings for staff, volunteers and at external events as required

· Recruit, retain and manage volunteers in line with organisational policies and procedures

· Ensure safe and efficient delivery of services in line with health and safety, safeguarding, data protection and safe working practices.

·      Plan and maintain safe staffing ratios through effective resource allocation

· Design and delivery of projects/activities in line with fundraised income, including reporting and engaging with funders as required

· Build and establish key sector relationships across the city to enhance the team’s reach and impact in the community

· Oversight and pastoral responsibility for the faith-based activities delivered for and with clients

· Build and establish relationships with other providers who can meet the needs of our clients e.g. local health teams.

· Contribute to wider profile-raising activities of Off the Fence

· Review and implement policies and procedures for safe service delivery

· Have responsibility for the safe processing and storage of client data in line with data protection regulations and policies, including CRM.

· Regularly review the effectiveness, safety and efficiency of all services including drop ins and one-to-one support.

· Active membership of and attendance at local forums, groups and networks

Key attributes and experience required for the role:

· Proven experience in managing frontline services and staff teams (minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role)

· Experience in delivering services with vulnerable client groups

· Strong knowledge of the legal and statutory framework for housing, benefits, employment.  Ideally, knowledge of local services and support agencies.

· A passion for seeing women thrive – practically, emotionally and spiritually

· Strong alignment with the vision of Off the Fence, and a commitment to our organisational focus

· Strong understanding and application of safeguarding, data protection and health and safety policy.

· Experience in service design, service improvement and project management

· Experience in supporting people with complex and multiple needs, including substance abuse and severe mental health.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills

· High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

· Ability to interpret policies, legislation and data effectively

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience of CRM management
