We are excited to be recruiting an EET and Wellbeing Coach into our Reboot West Team. Do you believe that a consistent, relationship-based, values-led support model is the best way to achieve sustained outcomes for young people? Do you want to be part of the largest and strongest evaluation of a youth unemployment programme of this type ever (working with 265 care experienced young people for up to three years)?
The Reboot project supports care experienced young people from four local authority areas into meaningful and sustained education, employment, and training. You will be trained to use a young people-focused version of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) called DNA-V. The ACT approach focuses on supporting young people to recognise their own values and determine their goals and aspirations.
Please find full details of how to apply via our website in the advert below. The deadline for application submissions is 23:59, Thursday 06 June 2024.
We are striving to better represent the young people we support and therefore are particularly keen to increase applications from minoritized ethnic groups, Muslim and male candidates as they are currently under-represented in our organisation. We also encourage applications from people with relevant lived experience.
If you need an adjustment to be made to any part of the recruitment process, please let us know as soon as possible.
Who are we?
We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. At 1625ip we are driven by Social Justice and Passion: we strive to do something that matters and take pride in seeing the results of our work in social outcomes and improving young people’s lives.

- Working in partnership with social services, and other support agencies, you will form part of a passionate team of people surrounding each young person, providing holistic and specialist support adapted to meet the needs of each individual.
- Being well organised and efficient, you will effectively record, and evidence outcomes achieved by young people, ensuring safe working practice, and contributing to our effort to secure future funding of the project.
At 1625ip we are led by our Competency Development Framework. This connects our values to our behaviours in everything we do and gives us the tools to develop. The framework ensures our recruitment is better informed, applications and interviews are behaviourally based and job profiles are developed on the ‘how’ of a job.

We encourage you to have an informal chat with the recruiting manager to discuss how your personal or professional experience and skills could be transferred to this role. Actively Interviewing

We’re an award-winning charity that runs local learning centres in the heart of communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide an innovative education programme which includes practical learning support and motivational and confidence-building activities for children and young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to inspire students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to broaden their horizons and achieve their full potential. As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping thousands of young people each year. We have forty-one centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, with ambitious plans to scale-up our provision further over the coming years.
As a Centre Leader, you will have responsibility for setting up, launching and running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. However, a substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.
As a charity with social mobility as its core objective, IntoUniversity is wholly committed to equality of opportunity. We work with children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and we believe that our staff team should be similarly diverse and representative.
The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be,and we recognise that we have much more to do in this regard. We are committed to building a culture where students, staff and volunteers are valued for the unique people they are. We therefore encourage applications from candidates from as wide a range as possible of ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds. In particular, we actively and warmly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, male candidates and candidates with a disability as they are currently under-represented within IntoUniversity.
If you believe that all young people deserve the chance to develop their talents regardless of their background and want to play a part in helping them succeed, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. More than anything you will need to champion what young people can achieve, be committed to collaborating with others and determined to find a way.
