The marketing and communications team is small but mighty. We help people find the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), understand what we do and take the next step, whether that is applying for a programme, booking a workshop, coming to an event, becoming a partner or engaging with our work.
We lead programme recruitment across SSE. That includes campaign planning, email marketing, social media, web content, partner communications and applicant journeys. Job summary
This role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers and Support Officer across the UK in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. The postholder will be required to work directly with young people and their families, schools, colleagues, partner organisations and professionals, delivering accredited training across the UK.
The person
You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. You will have a friendly and professional approach to working with families and professionals and be highly organised to manage planning, delivery and relevant paperwork for all wheelchair skills services.
Key accountabilities
- Coordination and delivery of wheelchair skills training, travel training and train the trainer across the UK.
- Conduct on site visits prior to delivery of travel training to plan routes and inform risk assessments.
- Book relevant modes of transport for travel training sessions.
- Writing Service Level Agreements for key partners; content providers and schools.
- Obtaining information from content providers and schools, such as Public Liability, DBS and key Risk Assessments.
- Writing Care Plans & Risk Assessments.
- Ensure schools complete paperwork for accredited services and liaise with Skills & Education group regarding learners
- Sending event invites to young people and families and updating the database as required.
- Updating all documentation for events and participants onto the database.
- Promoting Whizz Kidz services to third party organisations in order to drive new applications/referrals.
- Attending events such as Kidz to Adultz exhibitions to promote Whizz Kidz and showcase wheelchair skills training.
- Ensuring feedback and monitoring data is collected at each event and at set intervals after the event in order to measure long term impact.
- Collate information for case studies to measure impact of training.
- Liaising with Trainers when required.
- Liaising with young people, families and schools as required.
- Ordering equipment and resources where needed.
- Attending Whizz Kidz services across the country if required in order to support the Service Delivery Managers and Services Support Officer.

ASPbelong is a project spanning universities, game developers, artists and young people, exploring how shared immersive experiences can strengthen real-world sense of belonging and mental health. We’re publicly funded by Horizon Europe and UKRI.
We’re looking for an exceptional collaborator to help grow awareness of Lina – our classroom experience in which young people aged 11-14 work together to solve the mystery of a missing classmate – and more broadly of our format Augmented Social Play (ASP). Lina has been in soft launch via a multi-nation scientific study into its impact on young people and classroom climate. It’s been warmly received in dozens of schools, and now we’re gearing up for public launch. So this is about amplifying – getting our message to the right people, especially educators, journalists and thought-leaders. We’re non-profit and non-commercial; we’re motivated by innovation and belief in our work; our success metric is uptake, not income. But this is also about raising visibility in order to secure a future for this work.
This is not a routine social media role. You'll help shape an entire communications strategy, build new partnerships, approach mainstream and specialist press, influencers, and public figures, create or commission short-form content, plan and support event attendance, and more.

What You’ll Be Doing

The goal of PSTT is to make science more accessible and attractive to children of primary school age throughout the UK. Research has shown that children’s interest in science is shaped before they leave primary school. That makes it vital for them to have a positive experience of science from their early years onwards.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and trusts and foundations There is huge scope to develop both income streams at PSTT as this is a newly created position with the responsibility for growing and further developing these income streams.
This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape the income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing partners with an incredible supporter experience. What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

About the opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Birmingham.
- The Birmingham Programme Coordinator (maternity cover) oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. Since 1999, Kairos has walked alongside women facing multiple intersecting disadvantage and therefore subject to, or at risk of, sexual exploitation. Through support, advocacy and community, we work with women to increase options and opportunities, strengthen voice and agency, and empower them to create the futures they want for themselves.

About the role
This is a frontline practitioner role providing women-centred, trauma-informed, holistic support.
You will manage a caseload, provide one-to-one support and advocacy, contribute to safeguarding and risk work, support drop-ins and outreach, facilitate group activity, and work closely with partner agencies.
The work is meaningful, challenging and deeply relational. The women we walk alongside are often facing significant trauma, risk, exclusion, crisis and harm. This means the role can be tough. Sometimes very tough. It requires emotional resilience, good boundaries, reflective capacity and the ability to stay grounded when things are complex or uncertain.

Reporting to: Support and Services Lead
Working pattern: Hub and community based, with occasional hybrid working. The role includes some evening work, currently Wednesdays, as part of our outreach and drop-in rota. Very occasional weekend work may be required for events or fundraising activity.
Annual leave: 25 days, rising by one day for each year of service up to 30 days, plus bank holidays.
Wellbeing offer: One paid wellbeing hour each week, paid wellbeing break between Christmas and New Year, access to Employee Assistance Programme, external clinical supervision, team wellbeing activities and optional Blue Light Card scheme.
