The marketing and communications team is small but mighty. We help people find the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), understand what we do and take the next step, whether that is applying for a programme, booking a workshop, coming to an event, becoming a partner or engaging with our work.
We lead programme recruitment across SSE. That includes campaign planning, email marketing, social media, web content, partner communications and applicant journeys. We also manage SSE’s outbound communications, making sure our messages are clear, timely and joined up across newsletters, press, stakeholder updates, programme promotion and wider brand activity.

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the continuous improvement of lead nurture processes, including events, networks, referrals and targeted outreach, aligned to the go-to-market strategy.

The goal of PSTT is to make science more accessible and attractive to children of primary school age throughout the UK. Research has shown that children’s interest in science is shaped before they leave primary school. That makes it vital for them to have a positive experience of science from their early years onwards.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and trusts and foundations There is huge scope to develop both income streams at PSTT as this is a newly created position with the responsibility for growing and further developing these income streams.
This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape the income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing partners with an incredible supporter experience. The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. About the opportunity
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2), key stage 3 (KS3) and key stage 4 (KS4) English tutoring programmes through improving our English resources. You will create training materials and provide advice and support to our volunteers and our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day. Duties and responsibilities
- Following a defined brief, generate improvements to our KS4 English curriculum resources to enable pilot testing in AY26.27 Summer Term.
- Maintain our KS2 - KS4 English curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.
- Support Action Tutoring’s Programme Department to provide and respond to requests for additional materials for tutoring sessions, particularly English sessions.
- Design and deliver online English-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
- Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
- Engage and support Action Tutoring’s AI research including by undertaking pedagogical reviews of AI tutoring tools and supporting with tool development.

Qualification criteria:
We are looking for someone who is/has:
- Qualified (QTS) secondary school teacher of English
- At least two year’s teaching experience in English state schools with an understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged pupils

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at SOS UK. As we diversify our income streams, you will play a central role in developing high value partnerships that support our mission and long-term sustainability.
Over the past 12 months, SOS UK has laid the foundations for a new relationship fundraising programme. During this period, an Interim Head of Relationship Fundraising established a strong pipeline of prospective partners and supporters, developed a suite of partnership propositions and engagement materials, and built relationships with organisations aligned to SOS UK's mission.
Alongside this, SOS UK is launching a new Development Board, bringing together leaders from industries facing key green skills shortages alongside young people helping to shape the future workforce and sustainability agenda. You will join at a pivotal moment, helping to deliver the first phase of this newly established fundraising programme.
