The Difference is seeking a Head of the Inclusive Leadership Course to lead our year-long programme for senior school leaders, training 200+ headteachers, deputies and assistant heads annually to reduce lost learning and transform inclusion practice across England's schools.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for designing and delivering a sector-leading professional development programme, building strong relationships with school leaders and strategic partners, and capturing evidence of impact. Every day, the equivalent of 5,500 children are suspended from England's schools, doubling their likelihood of being NEET by 24. The Difference is a young education charity founded to change this story through whole school inclusion. Since 2019, over 1,000 school leaders have completed the Inclusive Leadership Course. 94% report shifted knowledge of inclusion, and 64% of schools subsequently saw suspensions data buck national trends. The course has been the test bed for our Whole-School Approach to Inclusion, with principles now evident in the Schools White Paper.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design of the Inclusive Leadership Course to ensure full engagement across the year and measurable improvement in Whole School Inclusion practice

We’re looking for an experienced Training School Manager to lead our STS function. You’ll oversee high-quality training delivery and facilitation, leading on quality assurance, continuous improvement and the ongoing development of training practice.​

As an experienced leader, you’ll manage and develop our high-performing STS team, striving to ensure excellence in our training provision. You’ll also be responsible for rota management and scheduling of training courses, balancing organisational priorities along with the performance and wellbeing of your team.​

nasen is seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Programme Assistant to join the Whole School SEND Project Management Office (PMO) team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the effective delivery of the Department for Education (DfE) funded Universal SEND Services (USS) programme through flexible, high‑quality project administration and coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, problem‑solving and working collaboratively in a fast‑paced team. The role offers opportunities to develop skills in project and programme coordination, with exposure to programme governance, delivery processes and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work across multiple projects and workstreams, providing essential administrative support that helps the PMO deliver well‑organised activity for practitioners across England.

nasen is the National Association for Special Educational Needs – a charitable organisation that exists to support and champion those working with, and for, children and young people with SEND and learning differences.

About the role

In this role, you’ll provide flexible, high‑quality administrative support that helps keep the Universal SEND Services (USS) programme running smoothly. This will include coordinating meetings, maintaining programme trackers and shared records, and acting as a key point of contact for the Regional SEND Leadership (RSL) team on routine queries and submissions, alongside supporting onboarding and offboarding activities.

You’ll also support the delivery of training webinars, professional development sessions and national cross‑sector conversations by preparing materials, setting up sessions and ensuring facilitators and participants have what they need for a positive, well‑organised experience. Clear, confident communication will be essential to helping colleagues stay aligned and ensuring participants receive accurate information.

This is a varied, people‑focused role at the heart of a supportive PMO team, offering the opportunity to develop strong coordination and communication skills while contributing to work that improves outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

This is a full‑time role with hybrid working in line with nasen’s policy.

Your job will be to lead a team of School Partnerships Officers, each responsible for building partnerships in different regional patches. You will also work closely with the Director of School Partnerships and Communications on the timely delivery of our sales and marketing strategy and collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure that tutor supply, school demand and programme delivery are joined up. You will be a strong team leader with the ability to galvanise colleagues to reach targets. You will have a deep interest in the mission of The Brilliant Club and be able to articulate and pitch our programmes with authenticity. You will be motivated by the task of increasing The Brilliant Club’s reach in low social mobility areas and will communicate effectively with internal teams about progress. You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure. You will be comfortable looking both inwards and outwards, identifying and building partnerships in the education sector and working to improve the efficiency of our internal systems.

The role will report to the Director of School Partnerships and Communications. It can be based at either of our Brilliant Club offices, located in London and Leeds.

About you

The role will best suit someone who has:

• Experience of partnership building or selling a programme, product or service to schools, trusts or other education sector stakeholders
• Resilience, tenacity and target-driven motivation in a challenging marketplace
• A desire to positively impact social justice via charity sales
• Knowledge of UK education system
• Experience of using CRM systems, such as Salesforce
• Experience of line management and/or leading and delivering through others
• A demonstrable passion for furthering The Brilliant Club’s mission
