MCKS Charitable Foundation UK is an ambitious and rapidly growing charity supporting schools and communities across the UK through school pantry programmes, breakfast clubs and wider wellbeing initiatives that help children and families experiencing food insecurity.
We currently support around 180 schools nationally, with a long-term vision to expand to 500 schools and beyond.
As part of this exciting growth phase, we are investing in two of the charity’s first full-time paid roles to help build the next stage of MCKS’ fundraising, partnerships, impact and operational infrastructure.
The Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising Manager will work very closely alongside our Schools, Community & Impact Manager, with both roles playing a key part in helping shape the future growth of the charity.
Together, these roles will help strengthen supporter engagement, develop partnerships, improve impact reporting, increase fundraising income and expand the charity’s national reach.
This is a genuinely hands-on opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up. Whilst significant growth and development is already underway, the charity is still evolving its infrastructure, systems and processes. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys working within a growing environment and is excited by the opportunity to help shape and build new ways of working.
This is not a role for someone who only wants to sit behind strategy documents.
We are looking for someone who can think strategically whilst also being willing to roll their sleeves up and deliver — someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, driving activity forward and helping turn ideas into tangible results.
About the Role
Working closely with the charity’s leadership, trustees and Schools, Community & Impact Manager, you will help develop and deliver a diversified fundraising and partnerships strategy that supports the charity’s ambitious growth plans.
This is a varied, fast-paced and hands-on role where you will focus on developing corporate partnerships, securing fundraising income, supporting campaigns and events, and helping strengthen the charity’s fundraising infrastructure for future growth.
Alongside longer-term relationship building, we are keen to see visible fundraising activity, momentum and new opportunities generated within the first year.
We are looking for someone who enjoys making things happen — someone who is proactive, delivery-focused and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with practical implementation within a growing charity environment.
As the charity continues to evolve, this role will also contribute towards shaping systems, processes, partnership approaches and supporter engagement activity from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships
- Identify and develop partnerships with corporate organisations aligned with the charity’s mission
- Secure financial support from businesses
- Develop partnership proposals and sponsorship opportunities
- Build and manage long-term relationships with corporate partners
- Develop employee engagement and fundraising opportunities with partners
Fundraising & Income Generation
- Identify and secure fundraising opportunities across corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events and trusts
- Support the development and delivery of fundraising campaigns and initiatives
- Help grow and diversify sustainable income streams
- Develop fundraising resources and supporter materials
- Support the planning and delivery of fundraising events and activities
Trusts & Foundations
- Research and apply to relevant grant-making trusts and foundations
- Develop compelling funding applications and proposals
- Manage funder relationships and reporting requirements
Donor Engagement & CRM
- Support the implementation and development of the charity’s fundraising CRM system
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity, donors and partnerships
- Track fundraising activity and provide updates to leadership and trustees
- Support supporter engagement and donor stewardship activity
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorship or business development
- A confident relationship builder with strong networking and communication skills
- Proactive, organised and delivery-focused
- Comfortable working independently within a growing and evolving charity
- Hands-on and willing to get involved operationally as well as strategically
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work at pace

Experience within the charity sector is welcome but not essential if you have strong partnership development or fundraising experience.

Project Manager (Cascade Wellbeing Project)
Part Time – 21 hours (3 days) per week
Salary £24,000 (£40,000 FTE)
We are seeking a Project Manager to deliver the Cascade Project – a partnership between the St Benedict’s Centre and the Diocese of Rochester. The project aims to develop a programme of initiatives and interventions to support frontline church leaders (lay and ordained, including Headteachers of church schools) with their wellbeing.
The project has been under development for the past year. The Project Manager will lead the project from development to implementation. Funding has been committed by the Church Commissioners for the first 4 years of the implementation period.
The Project Manager will provide overall leadership for the Cascade project, taking responsibility for setting culture and strategy and vision, developing strong and successful relationships with key external partners, delivering an imaginative programme (in person and online) to support the wellbeing of lay and ordained church leaders (including Headteachers of Church Schools) in the Diocese of Rochester and beyond, and ensuring that there are sufficient resources available for Cascade to flourish.
Candidates should have experience of leadership in a church setting with project management experience. You should have an understanding of wellbeing issues for frontline workers and knowledge of a variety of therapeutic processes and other interventions. You will have excellent organisational and communications skills.

The Communications Manager is a key role in the planning and delivering of high quality, integrated internal and external communications to increase awareness of and drive engagement with The Children’s Trust, as part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. Working alongside senior colleagues in marketing, media and digital, the role helps ensure our communications are well planned, effective, aligned and consistent, using insight and evaluation to demonstrate impact.
Consistency of Brand and Messaging, content and story gathering
- Build relationships with staff, volunteers and families, telling the stories of The Children’s Trust, to be delivered through a number of channels and who can, alongside celebrities, become ambassadors for the charity
- Drive consistent use of The Children’s Trust key messages across all communications channels
- Work alongside the Senior Marketing Manager to keep style guidelines updated and refreshed on a regular basis
- Work with the Senior Media and Communications Manager to ensure communications collateral is regularly updated, particularly where children and families feature, ensuring it is in line with the charity’s consent process
- Work with the creative team to ensure brand guidelines are refreshed and updated and that there are toolkits and templates available to wider staff
- Assist withthe creation and production of key reports e.g. Quality Report, Annual Report
External Communications
- Work with the Senior Media and Communications Manager to assist with The Children’s Trust press office function, including being part of an out-of-hours press office rota during key periods
- Support a programme of proactive public relations and communications campaigns across a range of media channels, driving awareness of the charity to target audiences
- Support the Head of Marketing and Communications with issues and reputation management
- Help to quickly develop appropriate strategies for responding to a wide range of issues and incidents, whilst liaising with other stakeholders to create and publish the required collateral
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify and create stories and content that supports internal and external marketing and communication activity
- Support the organisation’s approach to volunteer and alumni engagement
- Support the Digital Manager with creating content for and updating The Children’s Trust website and The Children's Trust school website
- Oversee the consent process for work with families ensuring that images and information on the children and young people we support is in line with The Children’s Trust policies and procedures.
Internal Communications
- Be part of a core team to plan and implement an internal communications programme across the charity
- Ensure messages and information is developed and shared appropriately across the organisation
- Monitor key issues and provide guidance and counsel on staff engagement and communications, external communications content in support of agreed projects and objectives
- Work with the Senior Media and Communications Manager and Head of Marketing and Communications to draft internal communications across the charity’s internal communications channels
- Work with wider directorate to evaluate success of existing internal communications and develop new ideas
- Oversee content planning and updating and supporting colleagues to manage their areas on our staff intranet The Loop
Marketing and Communications Management
- Work with fellow managers in the team (currently Senior Media and Communications Manager, Senior Marketing Manager and Digital Manager) to lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies to support the delivery of The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation to demonstrate the impact of the team’s work
- Provide strong project management for communications projects and campaigns, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, collaboratively and to a consistently high standard
- Develop strong relationships, internally and externally, and role model this to wider members of the department and directorate
Fundraising Communications / Income Generation Communications
- Work with fundraising and retail colleagues within the directorate to plan, execute and evaluate communications campaigns which supports income generation, in line with the fundraising objectives of the charity
- Support the Digital Manager with creation and distribution of marketing emails and creation of reports
- Business Development – working with the team to support campaigns which support the business development objectives of the charity, to promote support the department with its stakeholder engagement to professionals and parents.

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in thirteen areas/regions of the UK and will support over 4,000 children in 2026-27.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (Y1-3) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading. About the Role
Chapter One is seeking a Bradford Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently in and around West Yorkshire. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work some additional hours during busy autumn weeks, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.
There are plans for future expansion in Bradford so the role may grow, in time.
Key Responsibilities:

Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers.

Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms.

Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up.
-
Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom.

Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and effectively communicate this to others as needed.

Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles.

Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed.

Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise.

Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends.

Create regular data summaries for all participating classrooms.

Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools.

Support programme monitoring, evaluation and research as required.

Coordinate in person and virtual school ‘visits’ of volunteer teams to classrooms where necessary. This may include opportunities for Chapter One children to visit the office of the volunteers.

As part of our community team, you will place our supporters at the heart of everything you do by cultivating and stewarding relationships to provide a first-class experience. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
You will play a key operational role in delivering compliant, high-quality procurement activity across the Federation. With a focus on strategic sourcing & tendering, you will focus on, lead and manage end-to-end procurement exercises, including regulated FTS tenders and framework-based awards, maintain oversight of the procurement pipeline, and actively support academies in selecting and using compliant procurement routes. The role has a strong emphasis on forward planning, market engagement, regulatory compliance, and practical academy support to reduce risk and avoid reactive or non-compliant procurement activity.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Minimum Level 4 CIPS qualification
- Public sector experience (at least five years in a similar role)
- Strong experience delivering regulated procurements, including FTS tenders
- Proven use of public sector frameworks and DPSs
- Ability to advise stakeholders on compliant procurement routes
- Solid understanding of framework structures, call-offs, and mini-competitions
- Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations and best practice

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice.
A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of education. We need to inspire and connect with education leaders across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.
Key Responsibilities
We have made good progress building the evidence of what works within and around education to reduce violence, including publishing our Education, Children and Violence Guidance which provides school, college and alternative provision leaders with five evidence-based recommendations to help prevent children’s involvement in violence. We have also published Education Policy, Children and Violence which provides eight recommendations for policy makers and system leaders. In 2025, we also launched the Education Practice Insight Creator (a self-assessment tool for education leaders) and a number of collaborations with leading sector organisations. But the big risk is that despite all of these efforts change is not made or sustained within the sector.
This is where you come in. We are recruiting for two Senior Change Manager roles within our Education Change Team. Both roles will support education leaders to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice to prevent children’s involvement in violence.
Senior Change Manager – Education Network
You will design, lead and grow a national network of education leaders, supporting them to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice.
This includes delivering a programme of network activity (online sessions, in-person events, collaborative projects and a national conference), building a strong professional community, and generating insight to inform our wider work. Initially, this will focus on a new programme - the Safety in and Around Schools Partnership – which will involve supporting a network of up to 250 schools.
Focus: Working at scale – developing the offer, convening leaders, and building a national network.
Best suited to: Those with experience of building and facilitating communities of practice, communicating at scale, and convening groups of leaders.
Senior Change Manager – Practice Change
You will be working directly with education leaders and local partners to support the implementation and sustaining of evidence-informed practice. This includes facilitating training, providing 1-2-1 support, developing resources, and working with clusters of schools and multi-agency partners in local areas.
Focus: Working directly with leaders to build their capacity to lead, implement and sustain evidence-informed practice change.
Best suited to: Those with experience of leading in education and working closely with school leaders to support evidence-informed implementation.
You are this sort of person:
- You are fascinated about change and are experienced in making it happen. You have outstanding analytical judgment alongside the emotional intelligence and experience needed to identify the right opportunities for change, then make them happen.
- You understand the education sector. You have extensive experience of working in and with education settings and really understand how schools, colleges and/or Alternative Provision settings tick. You might have previous experience of supporting school leaders to reflect on and adopt evidence-based practice.
- You build strong professional communities. You build great relationships, facilitate inclusive spaces and help people to connect. Communication both in writing and verbally are key strengths.
- You have experience of supporting and developing education leaders. You have experience of enabling them to sustainably develop their leadership, policies and practices and improves the lives of young people. You can develop helpful resources and impactful sessions which support leaders.
- You learn fast but remain humble. You are very quick at getting your head around things. You like learning. You are very good at synthesising information. You care more that good things happen than who gets the credit. You are a great and supportive team player.
- You don't want your days to pass without making a difference. You want to play a significant part in reducing violence.
- You understand young people. You understand what the lives of vulnerable young people can be like, and you understand some of the organisations that work with them, ideally through first-hand experience.

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in thirteen areas/regions of the UK and will support over 4,000 children in 2026-27.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (Y1-3) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. About the Role
Chapter One is seeking a London Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently in and around North London. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work some additional hours during busy autumn weeks, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY
The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of the Belonging in School Project in Redcar and Cleveland, a 2‑year partnership (with ambitions to extend) between The Diana Award (TDA) and the Henry Smith Foundation. The role will oversee programme implementation across three schools, ensuring high-quality training, youth leadership development, and whole‑school culture change that improves belonging, safety, inclusion, and student wellbeing.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme Design
- Working with the Programmes team and using existing 1-Day Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador content and programme materials, reshape and build an intensive intervention, designed to be delivered initially in 3 schools across one year.
- Consult with local schools, young people and parents to ensure programme content is in line with what is needed from the community.
- With support from The Diana Award, design and roll-out specialist sessions (anti-racist, anti-HBT, anti-misogynistic bullying, online safety) depending on student feedback and school need.
- Ensure programme design is iterated and improved throughout the year based on learning from data and feedback
2. Programme Delivery
- Deliver the Anti‑Bullying Ambassador Programme in schools over the course of a school year
- Attend schools on a weekly basis, providing 1-2-1 and group support for Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
- Support staff, governors, and parents/carers to adopt a whole-school approach to anti bullying, inclusion, and community cohesion.
- Ensure all delivery aligns with project outcomes: boosting belonging, attendance, confidence, leadership.
3. Youth Voice & Panel Development
- Establish and facilitate Youth Panels/Anti Bullying Ambassador groups in each school to bridge communication between students and decision-makers.
- Equip young people with the skills to lead campaigns, design interventions, and shape school culture.
- Ensure youth voice is central to programme decisions, reporting, and learning cycles
4. Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with school leaders, teachers, pastoral teams, governors, and community partners across Redcar & Cleveland.
- Act as TDA’s primary representative in Redcar & Cleveland.
- Collaborate with external learning partners.
- Facilitate cross-school collaboration and knowledge-sharing in Redcar & Cleveland.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Use the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework to ensure we are consistently reviewing quality and impact of the programme and in line with KPIs.
- Use baseline and end-line surveys/methods with students, staff, parents and other stakeholders to measure impact.
- Track progress against KPIs (e.g.,boosting belonging, attendance, confidence, leadership.)
- Produce high-quality reports for funders, internal leadership, and school stakeholders.
- Evaluate long-term culture change across the 2-year programme.
6. Compliance, Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
- Ensure delivery meets TDA and each partner school’s safeguarding, GDPR, data ethics, and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation for audit and grant compliance.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, escalating where necessary to the Head of Programme Delivery.
- Run regular programme review meetings to understand quality and success of programme
7. Programme Development & Organisational Contribution
- Contribute insights from delivery into broader TDA programme development.
- Capture case studies and success stories from pupils, staff, and schools.
- Support organisational learning from place-based projects delivered in other regions.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Essential
- Significant experience delivering school, youth, or community-based programmes.
- Experience in designing school, youth or community-based programmes, preferably with a focus on attendance.
- Strong facilitation and training skills, especially with young people.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and building trusted relationships.
- Strong understanding of bullying behaviour, inclusion, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
- Competence in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) including survey tools and data reporting.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations).
- Confident in managing competing priorities and working independently in the field.
- Ability to model empathy, fairness, youth-led practice, and inclusive leadership.
- Lived experience/strong working knowlegde of the Redcar & Cleveland area, particularly in regard to challenges faced by young people and schools.
- Strong IT skills, including CRM systems and data management tools.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience with whole-school or behaviour change programmes.
- Knowledge of anti-racist, anti-HBT, and anti-misogynistic education.
- Experience in place-based initiatives or community cohesion programmes.
- Familiarity with TDA’s Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme or equivalent framework.

- Some evening or occasional weekend delivery may be required.
- Travel to The Diana Award Office in London will be required on an ad-hoc basis; this will be paid for in expenses and TOIL given for time spent travelling.
