Fundraising and supporter engagement
- Engage and support individuals, communities and local businesses to fundraise for Duchenne UK, providing outstanding stewardship and care throughout their journey.
- Recruit participants for both ‘run your own’ and third-party challenge events (runs, cycles, walks, skydives, etc.), developing long-term relationships with supporters – including families directly connected to the Duchenne community.
- Manage and grow Duchenne UK’s community fundraising programme, including in-memory giving, birthday fundraisers, and local community initiatives.
- Respond promptly to fundraising enquiries and proactively inspire new audiences to get involved.
- Project-manage a calendar of third-party challenge events, overseeing logistics, communications, and participant stewardship from sign-up through to completion.
- Identify and develop new community and virtual event opportunities to grow income and reach new audiences.
- Recruit, support, and motivate volunteers to assist with events and community fundraising activity.
- Work with the communications team to promote events and community fundraising across digital channels and social media.
- Identify and cultivate supporters with potential for deeper engagement or major giving.
- Represent Duchenne UK at events, community gatherings, and external meetings to raise awareness of the charity’s work
Internal processes and support
- Track supporter activity and income, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and reporting regularly to the Director of Income Generation
- Collaborate with the Communications team? To develop compelling fundraising toolkits, resources, and materials to empower supporters to fundraise effectively.
- Lead on CRM database management for community and events fundraising, maintaining accurate and up-to-date supporter records, ensuring GDPR compliance, and developing processes that improve data quality across the team.
- Ensure all fundraising activity is delivered in line with relevant legislation, including UK charity law and Fundraising Regulator guidance.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a fundraising, events, or community engagement role within the charity sector.
- A proven track record of meeting income targets and growing a supporter base.
- Experience engaging and supporting a diverse range of fundraisers including individuals, schools, community groups, and local businesses.
- Experience recruiting, supporting, and motivating volunteers.
Essential skills and attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a wide range of supporters.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Confident using a CRM database and Microsoft Office suite; experience with online fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse).
- Understanding of UK charity law, GDPR, and Fundraising Regulator best practice.
- A proactive, creative, and solutions-focused approach to fundraising.
- A genuine empathy with Duchenne UK’s mission and the communities we serve.
Desirable experience:
- Experience in a health, rare disease, or neurodisability charity.
- Experience managing third-party or mass participation challenge events.
Desirable skills:
- Experience using social media for fundraising promotion and community building.
- Familiarity with GDPR compliance in a fundraising context.

The role of Senior Events and Partnerships Manager will lead the Events and Partnerships Teams to deliver their strategy and plans. Working with the Head of Public Fundraising the Senior Events and Partnerships Manager will carry out a programme of continuous improvement to shape our programme of events for supporters, the local community, our children, young people and their families and retain and grow our partnerships and community fundraising programmes. This work is vital in helping us to achieve our strategic aims of increasing our net contribution and growing our supporter base.
The successful candidate will proactively lead our Events Team to review and overhaul our current events programme before implementing a varied and exciting refreshed programme which will engage new and current supporters as well as the local community and our children, young people and their families. They will also lead our Partnerships Team to develop and maintain and grow long-term, high value and multifaceted community, group and corporate partnerships to maximise income, value and influence for The Children’s Trust. You will lead a small team of events and partnerships managers to secure and manage a range of new and existing partnerships and events (including owned and third party).
Income generation and strategy
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the strategy for the Events and Partnerships teams and work with the Head of Public Fundraising and the teams to develop and review strategies to maximise income from events and partnerships
- Utilise audience insight to develop a broad and innovative range of income generating products to engage new and steward existing partners (including community supporters, businesses, groups and schools)
- Lead the Events team to review and overhaul our current events programme so that we are maximising net income and ROI as well as meeting the needs of our supporters and local community, and building connections and long-term relationships with our events supporters
- Manage partnership pipeline including building opportunities with new businesses to increase the range, value and number of partnerships for The Children’s Trust
- Work with the Partnerships team to implement processes that streamline and integrate relationship management across the team
- Lead the team to maximise growth and opportunities from businesses, community supporters, groups and schools through supporter journeys, stewardship, and cross-sell
- Work across the Retail, Fundraising and Communications directorate to maximise opportunities for contact mapping, cross-sell and support the activity of other teams within the directorate (including but not limited to stock donations, sponsorship of committee-led events, pro bono support, gifts in kind etc.)
Events and relationship management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing corporate partners, groups, supporters, senior volunteers and committees
- Work with the Events and Partnerships Managers to create account plans for corporate partners, groups and schools, as well as supporter journeys for community supporters and participants in our events programme
- Work with Events and Partnerships team to ensure that we are maximising opportunities within our relationships, achieving long-term growth and retention of all supporters and working with teams across the directorate to cross-sell other appropriate opportunities for support
- Develop relationships with colleagues across the Public Fundraising Team, wider directorate and organisation to ensure that opportunities for engagement, integration and promotion of events and partnerships are maximised and publicised
- Bring the Events and Partnerships teams together to ensure that we are seizing opportunities to integrate the programmes, for instance through corporate sponsorships of events, employee volunteering or participation, donated goods for raffles and auctions, match funding and more

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for community children’s nurse to join our friendly, established community health team. We are a busy service with a diverse caseload working with service families and children in Cyprus.
We are looking for a confident, innovative paediatric nurse. What you’ll do
As International Partnerships Lead for the Middle East, Africa and Europe, your role is to provide world class customer service and support to over 250 international schools from around the world. You will build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools, supporting them to make the most of the Unifrog platform. Solutions and customer service focused, you will make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are prompt, positive and successful.
You will cover the Middle East and Africa, with possible opportunities for international travel for school visits or conferences once a year.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Being the first point of contact for our international partner schools in the region.

Working with your partner Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement across the region and making sure schools are making the most of the platform.

Monitoring, auditing and analysing usage across partner schools, identifying schools that need additional support to use the platform effectively.

Provide resources and strategies to partner schools to maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

Delivering targeted training sessions for partner schools via workshops and webinars. This could be a video meeting with a counselor, a webinar with lots of teachers attending from around the world; or an in-person visit to one of our partner schools subject to travel restrictions.

Onboarding new schools that join us. You will make sure that they are properly set up on our platform and have a strong plan in place so that they and their students can get the most out of Unifrog.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Team: Delivery/ SWNI
As the Project Officer, you will support schools across East Lothian to increase active travel, such as walking, wheeling and cycling. Your work will help pupils, staff and local communities travel in healthier and more sustainable ways.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver behaviour change and engagement projects that encourage active travel.
- Plan, organise and run educational sessions, practical activities and events that help people make positive changes in how they travel.
- Build effective working relationships with schools, community groups and local authorities to support these projects.
- You will recruit, guide and support volunteers who help with the work of the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, making sure they feel informed and confident.
- This role involves physical tasks such as lifting and moving bicycles, transporting boxes and equipment, and setting up activities within school environments. We welcome applications from all candidates and will consider reasonable adjustments to support individuals in carrying out these duties.

ABOUT YOU

- At least 3 years of experience working with community groups. This can be paid work or voluntary work.
- An understanding of Active Travel (walking, wheeling, cycling) and the challenges faced by communities who experience inequality or barriers.
- Experience leading group workshops and presenting information clearly, both online and in person.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and the ability to apply safe working practices that promote the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, and adults at risk.
- You will be required to travel between schools and transport equipment as part of this role. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is therefore needed.

Bursary Support and Educational Partnerships Lead
About King Edward’s School, Bath
Founded in 1552, King Edward’s School (KES) is Bath’s oldest school and one of the leading co-educational independent schools in the south-west of England. About the role:
Responsible for developing and strengthening King Edward’s School’s partnerships with primary schools, youth-focused organisations, local authorities and other relevant bodies, primarily across BANES and Wiltshire.
The role focuses on expanding engagement programmes, widening access to a KES education, and increasing applications to the School’s means-tested Bursary Programme. It also includes supporting bursary applicants and families throughout their journey with the School.
Key Responsibilities
General
- Develop and grow partnerships with local primary schools and youth organisations, enhancing the School’s outreach and support programmes.
- Design and deliver a targeted community engagement strategy aligned with the School Development Plan and bursary access objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme Design
- Working with the Programmes team and using existing 1-Day Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador content and programme materials, reshape and build an intensive intervention, designed to be delivered initially in 3 schools across one year.
- Consult with local schools, young people and parents to ensure programme content is in line with what is needed from the community.
- With support from The Diana Award, design and roll-out specialist sessions (anti-racist, anti-HBT, anti-misogynistic bullying, online safety) depending on student feedback and school need.
- Ensure programme design is iterated and improved throughout the year based on learning from data and feedback
2. Programme Delivery
- Deliver the Anti‑Bullying Ambassador Programme in schools over the course of a school year
- Attend schools on a weekly basis, providing 1-2-1 and group support for Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
- Support staff, governors, and parents/carers to adopt a whole-school approach to anti bullying, inclusion, and community cohesion.
- Ensure all delivery aligns with project outcomes: boosting belonging, attendance, confidence, leadership.
3. Youth Voice & Panel Development
- Establish and facilitate Youth Panels/Anti Bullying Ambassador groups in each school to bridge communication between students and decision-makers.
- Equip young people with the skills to lead campaigns, design interventions, and shape school culture.
- Ensure youth voice is central to programme decisions, reporting, and learning cycles
4. Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with school leaders, teachers, pastoral teams, governors, and community partners across Redcar & Cleveland.
- Act as TDA’s primary representative in Redcar & Cleveland.
- Collaborate with external learning partners.
- Facilitate cross-school collaboration and knowledge-sharing in Redcar & Cleveland.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Use the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework to ensure we are consistently reviewing quality and impact of the programme and in line with KPIs.
- Use baseline and end-line surveys/methods with students, staff, parents and other stakeholders to measure impact.
- Track progress against KPIs (e.g.,boosting belonging, attendance, confidence, leadership.)
- Produce high-quality reports for funders, internal leadership, and school stakeholders.
- Evaluate long-term culture change across the 2-year programme.
6. Compliance, Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
- Ensure delivery meets TDA and each partner school’s safeguarding, GDPR, data ethics, and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation for audit and grant compliance.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, escalating where necessary to the Head of Programme Delivery.
- Run regular programme review meetings to understand quality and success of programme
7. Programme Development & Organisational Contribution
- Contribute insights from delivery into broader TDA programme development.
- Capture case studies and success stories from pupils, staff, and schools.
- Support organisational learning from place-based projects delivered in other regions.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Essential
- Significant experience delivering school, youth, or community-based programmes.
- Experience in designing school, youth or community-based programmes, preferably with a focus on attendance.
- Strong facilitation and training skills, especially with young people.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in thirteen areas/regions of the UK and will support over 4,000 children in 2026-27.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (Y1-3) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading. About the Role
Chapter One is seeking a Bradford Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently in and around West Yorkshire. The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.
They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.
It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.
This job is for you, if you:
- possess excellent writing skills and a passion for communicating our charitable mission, possibly moving into the charity sector for the first time
- have the ability to develop and mantain positive relationships with a diverse range of people including high net worth individuals, partners, colleagues, and service users
- have a proactive and creative approach to solving problems and researching and developing new sources of income
- have the ability to manage multiple priorities, effectively balancing operational and strategic expectations.
