About the role:
University Access Officers are responsible for delivering The Access Project’s high impact mentoring programme to students across our partner schools. This role works with a caseload of students supporting them from the start of Year 12 up to the end of Year 13 to understand the pathway to a top university.
The role also involves project coordination. You will work with our schools, volunteers and teams across The Access Project to ensure young people are inspired and supported to have the best possible chance of achieving social mobility and enhancing their future prospects.
This role is for a University Access Officer to work in one of our schools in Nottinghamshire delivering our Accelerate programme.
Role responsibilities
Mentoring - Work directly with young people by mentoring a caseload of students in a professional and safe manner:
- Deliver our University Readiness programme through in-depth, targeted 1:1 mentoring sessions with Year 12 and Year 13 students
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications.
- Support Year 12 and 13 students to complete self-paced learning modules on our dedicated platform, The Access Hub, delivering interventions where necessary.
- Use knowledge and information gathered through mentoring students to flag potential issues within volunteer/student interactions so that appropriate quality assurance can be conducted.
- Deliver high quality and informative assemblies to students across KS3 and 4 – introducing them to the power of mentoring, de-mystifying the path to university and building their motivation to succeed.
- Support partner schools with trip logistics, acting in a leadership position when accompanying students on school trips.
- Direct enrolled students to appropriate wider enrichment opportunities, encouraging both extra and super-curricular participation and reflection.
Project coordination and management:
- Support partner school with recruitment of students, leading on the enrolment and induction of selected eligible students to ensure that The Access Project has fully enrolled and engaged cohorts.
- Lead on student facing communications by collaborating with the wider delivery team to case manage students on the programme. This could mean acting as point of consultation for pairing students with coaches/tutors or coming up with solutions when students are not engaging across the whole programme.
- Support the tuition and coaching team in driving student attendance at volunteer sessions (coaching and tuition), including acting as a point of escalation through mentoring and liaising with schools to make decisions/actions to offboard/replace students if deemed necessary.
- Lead quality assurance of coaching pairings completing a caseload of drop ins.
- Send regular summary updates to school as their key point of contact. Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme.
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided).
- Support with creation of school reports and present at school meetings with Managers to report on programme progress.
- Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).
- Participate in working groups, programme design and annual reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Any other responsibilities reasonably deemed necessary by The Access Project.

Training and Development
You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There is support from your line manager (Programme Manager), as well as guidance from more senior University Access Officers and the wider University Access Officer team across The Access Project. There are opportunities for progression, including several additional responsibility roles which are available for UAOs to apply for once they have completed their probationary period successfully.

About the Adopt a School Trust
Founded in 1990, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ Adopt a School Trust is a national charity delivering food education in schools. The Adopt a School team, members of The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, and those in the hospitality industry trained by us, work with schools with the aim of passing on their passion and expertise. Our vision is that every child learns about food in a holistic sense and has the confidence to eat well, be healthy and happy. Our programme helps children to develop healthy eating habits and encourages an enthusiasm and interest in food and cooking, as well as giving an insight into the hospitality industry.
About the role
In August 2025 we completed the initial phase of implementing the charity’s first CRM system, Beacon. It marks the beginning of an exciting phase of development for the charity that will continue through to the end of 2028 and include other projects to significantly modernise and improve our operations.
A further period of Beacon implementation will follow throughout the 2025-26 academic year. The CRM and Programme Administrator is a new role, created primarily to fill a pressing need for extra admin and office support. However, there is potential for the role to grow alongside the charity’s ongoing digital transformation.
Our CRM system is heavily customised to meet the unique requirements of the Adopt a School programme. Due to the often-complex nature of facilitating relationships between busy schools and hospitality professionals, our system is only lightly automated at present, but this may change in future.
The successful applicant will join a small and friendly team, working closely with our CRM, Learning and Engagement Manager to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Adopt a School programme. Other colleagues and key collaborators include:
- our team of Regional Chefs
- the chefs and hospitality professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to deliver sessions in schools
- the schools who participate in our programme
- our fundraisers, supporters, partners and suppliers
- the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts team, with whom we share our London office.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main duties
To coordinate the Adopt a School programme for active schools, chefs and volunteers. Responsibilities to include:
- Monitoring a shared Outlook inbox, responding to enquiries about the programme and liaising with schools, chefs and volunteers to coordinate sessions.
- Setting up school subscriptions and sessions in the CRM as they’re confirmed.
- Using third party tools (such as Google Forms and SurveyMonkey) to collect registration forms, onboarding information, safeguarding data and evaluation surveys.
- Sharing allergy information and photo permissions with chefs and volunteers.
- Ordering hats, aprons and other classroom resources to be delivered to schools, chefs and volunteers.
- Preparing bookkeeping information for schools that need to be invoiced.
- Processing applications and expressions of interest from new schools and volunteers.
- Maintaining a waiting list of prospective schools and volunteers.
- Responding to routine and ad hoc requests for data, programme insights and reports.
- Maintaining CRM system integrity by performing data cleansing, troubleshooting and bug fixing tasks as required.
- Assisting in continuously reviewing the CRM system, offering ideas to maximise its capabilities and further enhance our systems and processes.
Additional duties
To regularly research and roll out solutions to common operational challenges, in particular ones that relate to data, tools and technology. Examples may include:
- Options for exporting CRM data to third party map and calendar apps.
- Methods for setting up an efficient and scalable assets library.
- Best use of AI tools and technology for supporting our work.
Ad hoc duties:
- Occasional support and attendance at in-person events including volunteer training sessions, industry expos and fundraising dinners.
- Any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main responsibilities and the work of the Adopt a School Trust.

The Role
Vocabulous is an innovative online resource to aid targeted and explicit vocabulary teaching in Key Stage 2 and 3 English lessons. We are a small, fast-growing education technology company looking for an innovative, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team. Our Operations and Engagement Coordinator will be a key support role, responsible for keeping the business running smoothly day-to-day, while also engaging directly with our schools and teachers.
This varied role combines administration, customer communication, social media/marketing support, and basic system management (CRM). You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, ensure processes run efficiently behind the scenes, and help us build strong relationships with schools and teachers.
We are a small organisation with a social purpose, so we are looking for someone who is excited about the job description, but who is also interested in learning more about all aspects of running an education start-up and keen to support Vocabulous’ strategy and growth beyond their job role.
Position: Operations and Engagement Coordinator
Location: York and Harrogate (the business is based in York until December 2025 then moves to Harrogate in January 2026)
Flexibility: At least 2 days in the office and the rest either remote or in the office as preferred
Hours: 30 hours a week across 4-5 days
Salary: £21,600 (£27,000 FTE) per annum
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until Summer 2026, with possibility of extension dependent on funding

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team
Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.

Working with the Senior Caseworkers and Team Manager your role and responsibilities include:
•Support staff to liaise with young people and their families/carers to communicate information regarding our work
•Provide information, support, advocacy and guidance to children and young people from refugee backgrounds (and their families/carers when available), to ensure that they are able to access their educational rights.
•Increase communication and understanding between young people, families, social services, schools and other professionals
•Develop relationships with schools and relevant agencies, in order to make and obtain referrals, and support refugee young people and their families access educational services.
•Empower young people and their parents to take control and be their own best advocates
•
Main duties and responsibilities:
·Run 2 monthly evening drop in advice sessions at KLS youth club
·Run 2 monthly drop in advice sessions at Southfields Acadmey
·Support refugee young people including unaccompanied asylum seeking young people (and their families/carers when available) to overcome barriers to access and thrive
·Identify and assess their needs and advocate with them for their rights and entitlements
·Provide information and advice whilst working other agencies (e.g. social services, and mental health)
·Refer them to other agencies as appropriate.
·Make and follow up on internal and/or external referrals and signposting whenever relevant and according to adequate referral pathways, in response to the young people’s needs
·Liaise between young people (and with their parents/carers when available) with school, social services, other agencies and foster carers, to support young people holistically to overcome educational barriers
·Work with Future Foundations to Learn team members to share casework information and advocacy needs and to develop the work of the whole team in supporting local refugee young people and families
·Advocate on behalf of and/or represent young people by preparing reports and attending appeals or interviews or meetings with them
·Be familiar with local schools and services. Work with professionals in complementary statutory and voluntary services in person, by phone or by email.

Role Summary
- The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. This role involves actively engaging with schools and educators to promote and support their participation in various initiatives related to film, games, and creative media.
- The Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring that schools and teachers have access to the full range of educational resources, training, and opportunities offered by Into Film. As one of the largest federated charities in the UK, with arguably greater reach into the lives of families and educational settings than any other non-Government organisation, Parentkind is on a bold and urgent mission: to support, champion, and empower parents to be partners in their children’s education and wellbeing.
Although best known for our support of almost 24,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs), Parent Councils, and Schools, helping them build strong school communities whilst they raise approaching £140 million each year to enhance children’s education, our work stretches far beyond the school gates. Supporting parents beyond the school gate
In recent years, families have faced a series of compounding challenges: the cost-of-living crisis, rising child poverty, and deepening educational inequality. These pressures have left many parents struggling to meet basic needs—let alone feel confident engaging in their child’s learning journey. Parentkind has responded to this moment with compassion, agility and purpose, through a series of transformative campaigns, resources, and partnerships.
Our No Cold Child initiative with FatFace stepped in to address a stark statistic: over 150,000 children in the UK do not own a winter coat due to poverty. Through our trusted relationships with schools we distributed 10,000 warm, high-quality coats worth £600,000 to the children who needed them most. Winning the Business Charity Awards ‘Fashion & Retail’ Award, and shortlisted for two further awards, the campaign has been praised not just for providing warmth, but for restoring dignity, inclusion, and school readiness to thousands of children.
The All Dressed Up campaign—developed with World Book Day and Rubies Masquerade—confronted the often-overlooked issue of financial exclusion on key celebration days. More than 100,000 free dressing up costumes worth £1.34 million were delivered to children from low-income families. By enabling participation in events like World Book Day, we helped spark imagination, joy, and belonging for children who might otherwise feel left out—boosting self-esteem and supporting a positive connection to learning.Furthermore, helping attract children into school on a day which often sees struggling parents keep their children at home.
Alongside these national campaigns, Parentkind supports families year-round through a growing suite of programmes designed to inform, prepare and empower parents. Our Be School Ready programme offers crucial guidance and confidence to parents preparing their children for the leap into primary education. With a mix of practical advice, developmental tips, and reassurance, through the distribution of 150,000 copies of Be School Ready and an online campaign, it supports families at one of the most formative moments in their child’s life.
We also deliver a wide-ranging series of live expert webinars and parent-friendly resources, covering topics such as managing anxiety, supporting special educational needs, navigating school transitions, and building home-school partnerships. These resources, developed in consultation with experts and rooted in lived parent experience, equip families to feel informed and empowered, no matter what challenges arise.
Our direct support of schools
Our collaboration with Asda on Cashpot for Schools is another example of unlocking support at scale. This innovative community-led funding model allowed shoppers to nominate and fund their local schools simply through everyday spending. This campaign has generated £5.78 million for schools during the past twelve months, supporting everything from basic classroom supplies to vital extracurricular programmes and pupil wellbeing initiatives. Also shortlisted for a Business Charity Award, it is already a model for community-driven philanthropy.
In April, we launched our Parent-Friendly Schools Accreditation Programme, designed to formally recognise schools that go above and beyond in fostering positive, inclusive relationships with parents. The accreditation celebrates schools that actively listen to parent voices, make engagement easy and accessible, and embed family partnership in their culture. It is a practical and inspiring tool to drive long-term change in the sector and offers a roadmap for schools wanting to strengthen their community.
Our focus on Policy & Research
Our work is grounded in evidence. Since 2023, we have conducted the UK’s largest annual parent survey: the National Parent Survey. With approaching 6,000 participants providing 130,000 bits of data to provide invaluable insights into the struggles, concerns, hopes and fears of parents. The findings are fed directly into government consultations and have already informed national debates on school funding, attendance, mental health support, SEND provision, and curriculum reform.
In each of the past two years the number of policymakers, educators, parents and researchers accessing the National Parent Survey exceeded seven thousand, and the survey featured in more than two hundred media outlets each year.Excitingly, the Times & Sunday Times are partnering with Parentkind to raise the profile even further in September 2025 and the survey will be launched at a lighthouse event featuring the Secretary of State for Education (Bridget Phillipson), the Ofsted Chief Inspector of Schools (Sir Martyn Oliver), the CEO of Mumsnet (Justine Roberts), the Children’s Commissioner (Dame Rachel De Souza), and our own Chief Executive (Jason Elsom).
In addition to the National Parent Survey, Parentkind undertakes representative polling of parents throughout the year on a variety of important topics, which increasingly find exposure in the media and policy discussion.
Parentkind provides the secretariat for the Westminster APPG for Parents and the Stormont APG for Parental Participation in Education. Two very successful parliamentary groups bringing together policymakers and a variety of stakeholders to consider the challenges faced by parents and act as a voice for them through a variety of policymakers.
Our Media Engagement
Since becoming recognised as the UK’s largest parent charity, with likely more groups and frontline volunteers than the Scouts or Girlguiding, Parentkind has gained increasing prominence in the media.Beyond the reach of the National Parent Survey and our regular polling, Parentkind receives frequent requests for quotes of reflection and input by media in relation to their journalism and from Government and non-Government entities in support of policy announcements.
Beyond this, the Parentkind community of volunteers and PTAs share local or regional media announcements of their own.Whether or not it celebrating the completion of large projects they have invested countless hours and thousands of pounds into realising, or the community event they have worked into the night to deliver for their school communities.
It will be your role to take this much further, gaining increasing exposure for the work of Parentkind, its community, and parents more broadly.

· Build relationships with broadcast media so we get asked to appear on broadcast media more often. There’s a chance for you to be a talking head too.
· Help to draft parent polls and reports with a focus on compelling questions that will hit the front page. We need a brilliant writer, able to turn facts and figures into engaging narratives with bold headlines and strong messages that catch the eye. Boring writers need not apply…
· Draft eye catching press releases with bold headlines and a compelling narrative to promote the work we do across the charity. You’ll also place the press releases with national journalists leading to high profile coverage.
· Support the authoring of articles, op-eds and blog posts by members of the Executive Leadership Team.
· Be responsible for media monitoring, measuring our media hits, and reporting on coverage and interesting themes for the Executive Leadership.
Your mission is to massively increase our online, in print and social media presence to make us the highest profile parent charity in the UK. We don’t need you to be an education expert, we need someone to get us on the front page.

The Role
Are you an experienced and committed professional with a genuine heart for leading the support for chaplaincy and collective worship across our schools, academies, colleges, and trusts? Working closely as part of a team of Diocesan School Advisers, the priorities for the successful candidate will be to develop new chaplaincies and nurturing current provision. The support for collective worship in

About You
We are looking for a practicing Christian in sympathy with the Anglican tradition with the ability to articulate the Christian faith. An ability to walk alongside colleagues in schools/colleges and to form positive professional relationships is essential.
Key experience and qualities include:
- A relevant professional qualification in youth/children’s ministry, teaching, ordained ministry or equivalent
- Experience in education settings and with volunteers, ideally including leading collective worship in schools
- Understanding of chaplaincy in schools, with at least three years’ relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, inspire and motivate others
- Emotional intelligence, resilience, and the confidence to take initiative and make sound decisions
- Knowledge of safeguarding in an educational context
- ICT literacy and willingness to embrace new technologies
- A valid driving licence and ability to travel across the diocese
Desirable: qualified teacher status, team management experience, and knowledge of chaplaincy at a local and national level.

Role overview
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Programme Coordinator to help keep our busy calendar of classes, events, and community activities running like clockwork. This is a varied role with a focus on bookings and administration, alongside outreach, communications, and reporting, helping us reach more people, share our story, and measure the difference we make. The role will be onsite at our teaching space in Hackney. You’ll play a really key role in our team, making sure everyone, from our chef educators to our school partners, has the right information at the right time. You’ll coordinate the scheduling of a range of programmes, from weekly school sessions to seasonal events, ensuring each is delivered smoothly, safely and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
Programme & Administrative Coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries via phone, email, and in-person show-arounds.

- Coordinate all aspects of school, after-school, and holiday cooking programmes — including outreach, scheduling, and briefing the delivery team.
