Job purpose
This is a pivotal senior administration role in a charity that is passionate about making a difference to the veterinary care that animals receive. You’ll be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, with the trustee board and with all members of the staff team of about 20 people. You’ll be responsible for the effective provision of comprehensive HR services for XLP, develop highly effective relationships across the team, maintaining a real understanding of their challenges. You’ll partner with Line Managers on a range of HR duties encompassing the entire employee life cycle, including updating and reviewing policies and processes, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding/ offboarding, Learning & Development and more. You’ll ensure we recruit and retain excellent staff to ensure we’re giving our best for young people.
You’ll be happy to manage all aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle and not be afraid to work autonomously and get stuck in.

Key Skills:
- Significant relevant experience in Human Resources in a generalist role;
- Proven experience in managing complex employee relations cases;

- CIPD Level 5 Qualification;

- Liaise with utility suppliers, Local Authorities, customers and colleagues to ensure accuracy of data, including meter readings, void and occupancy date for council tax.
- Provide supporting information to clarify property status and request amended accounts to reflect this.
- Where necessary, investigate and respond to enquiries, including account queries, this may include enquiries from contractors, suppliers and other third parties.
- Challenge where necessary, to ensure value for money and quality of service from suppliers.
- Manage meter move requests and arrange prompt payment whilst liaising with all involved parties.

We are delighted to be working with a wonderful membership organisation to recruit a part-time Administrator for an initial period of 2 months, with the likelihood of extending and potentially becoming permanent. The role will be office based for the first 2 weeks and hybrid thereafter.
As part of a busy team of 4, you will be responsible for administering membership applications and welcoming new members.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Review and process new member applications, ensuring that applicants meet membership criteria
• Welcome new members and establish reciprocal relationships with high value members. Manage all work-related contacts and membership projects on the Customer Relationship Management database and proactively identify and improve the efficiency of administrative processes
• Assist in invoicing new and renewing membership subscriptions; produce credit notes and refunds resulting from member enquiries and subscription changes
