RESPONSIBILITIES

The Content Manager will be responsible for managing the Content Team within the Marketing & Communications Department, overseeing delivery of the content framework, using evaluation and measurement to enable strategic and creative development so Battersea’s content output achieves brand, marketing and organisational objectives.
Overall objectives of this role:
• Oversee strategic delivery against the content framework, supporting the team in effective implementation and measurement
• Lead the team in developing and delivering best in class creative storytelling content that is strategically aligned, maximised, and continually evaluated.

You will be responsible for cultivating a portfolio of prospects and donors through a range of engagement, to gain their financial support for programmes, projects and the wider RSPB. Working with colleagues in relevant departments, countries and regions, you will manage donor relationships and solicitation strategies to achieve the best outcome for the RSPB.
What's the role about?
As a team player with a positive and diligent approach, you will:
- Look after your own portfolio of donors as well as reaching out to prospects and new donors. You will be responsible for fundraising information to advance plans and ensure prospect and donor records are accurate, incorporating any changes, new activities, updated plans, and new information as well as adding new relationships in keeping with data protection and team procedures.
- Work closely with your team and wider organisation colleagues to implement solicitation strategies, to secure financial support either by direct solicitation, preparing a written proposal, or working with senior management to make a solicitation.
- Be involved in the development of funding proposals for approved priority projects that will inspire potential donors to secure gifts.
- Contribute to the planning of and participate actively in events (face to face and online) to build relationships with donors and prospects for future income and to demonstrate the impact of gifts already received.
- Arrange meetings with individual donors at a variety of venues, including at our reserves, working closely with area and reserve colleagues to deliver an excellent experience for our supporters
- Be jointly responsible for the planning, writing, production and mailing of Philanthropy Matters, our publication aimed at philanthropic supporters.
- Build effective relationships both within the RSPB and external to it that will enhance its reputation and ultimately secure funding. This includes understanding donors’ wishes and aspirations and identifying links with approved priority projects with the aim of securing substantial gifts.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Intermediate levels of fundraising as demonstrated by work successes and recognised fundraising courses
- Experience in how to research and cultivate a prospect. And understanding of how to write a cultivation strategy
- Ability to write funding proposals and prepare briefing documents in advance of meetings and events
- Competent in the use of a CRM system (Salesforce), the Microsoft suite, other databases, research tools and methods
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, and people and teams outside of our department
- Good judgement when working with donors and ability to recognise potentially sensitive areas between prospects and the RSPB to ensure reputational values are maintained
- Experience of having successfully managed and developed donor relationships leading to substantial support.

The Role
FareShare has a dynamic fundraising department that has seen incredible growth in support in an incredibly short space of time. We are now looking for a proven Supporter Retention Manager to join us as we embark on our next phase of deepening engagement with current and new supporters.
This newly created role is an integral part of the Fundraising team’s growth plans to become a £40 million income generating team.
Working closely with the Supporter Acquisition Manager, Supporter Experience Manager (Fundraising Operations) and the wider Fundraising team, the post-holder will lead on stewardship campaigns encompassing Warm Appeals, Regular Giving asks, Supporter newsletters and cross-sell campaigns across FareShare’s audiences. Line management of an Individual Giving Officer (or Assistant) may form part of the roles and responsibilities further down the line.
The role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proven Individual Giving professional to help drive innovation in supporter retention and development and make a decisive contribution to a high-performing team.
Main areas of responsibility
1.Plan and deliver the Warm Appeals programme in line with agreed budget targets and annual workplans
- Campaign manage the Cash Appeals programme at all stages, from initial planning through to supplier management and post-campaign analysis
- Develop and implement a rolling programme of Regular Giving Asks.
2.Develop and manage a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the initial touchpoint through to longer-term giving
- Work with the Supporter Acquisition Manager and the Supporter Experience Manager on planning, delivering and managing a seamless supporter journey and consistency of messaging from the point of acquisition
- Actively monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate disengagement

Working Arrangements and Travel Requirements
Rainforest Trust UK staff work remotely and you will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection. You may be based anywhere in the UK but you will be expected to work from a shared team space in London once a month, and your donor meetings/events are most likely to take place there.
The postholder will be required to host networking events and attend some online meetings with our partners in the U.S so some (early) evening working is required. We are also flexible as to how many hours this postholder works, and will consider a 3-5 day per week arrangement, depending on experience.

About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager (External) to provide continuity while our EDI Strategy Lead is on maternity leave. Reporting to the Executive Director, Impact and working with key stakeholders and colleagues across the whole organisation, you will help ensure alignment between our external For Everyone Strategic Framework and our new organisational strategy. ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles. The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles. The important stuff
Salary: from £50,000 dependent on experience
Contract: 12 – 18 months fixed term
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 5:30pm with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations

Person Specification
- An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and our mission to play a meaningful part in the repair of our social fabric
- Outstanding leadership ability with the confidence to make effective decisions; flexibility to pivot and change direction when needed and to bring partners and team on the journey
- Excellent people and networking skills; emotional intelligence, capable of quickly winning the trust and confidence of, as well as to network and influence church leaders and a range of audiences, internally and externally
- A minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable experience in a church partnerships or business development role
- Strong initiative and organisational skills including the ability to establish appropriate processes and structures and to manage multiple priorities to meet targets and deadlines
- Strong quantitative skills including ability to work with and interpret impact data, fundraising pipelines and basic financial information
Key Responsibilities
National Growth
- Develop strategy for national growth and ensure effective delivery of strategy, with a focus on growing our work in unserved and developing regions of the UK and building a diverse range of church partners
- Engage with thinking around the intersection between social impact, employability and the church to ensure we are at the cutting edge within the sector, developing an understanding of local needs and challenges and how Resurgo can best inspire and equip partners to catalyse sustainable and impactful social change.
- Work with wider leadership team to understand and fine tune barriers to growth, including considering recruitment and operations support needed by partner churches, and funding avenues and the operation of the seed fund, which provides start-up funding to churches in the early years of launching a Spear centre.
Pipeline Development
- Identify, build, and develop relationships with potential partners through networking at Christian conferences and running our own events, identifying and introducing our work to key networks, and offering relevant coaching sessions as a means for churches to understand Resurgo’s coaching, employability and impact management.
- Introduce potential and existing partner churches to the Spear programme as a means of creating sustainable social impact in their community, particularly with young people, and provide opportunities for them to engage with the programme with a view to considering launching a centre in their own community where this is a good fit.
- Build a pipeline of potential Spear partners, and steward these relationships from the point of introduction, through to confirmation of programme launch, reporting to the Senior Leadership team against monthly KPIs and annual growth targets.
- Work closely with the Impact team and Director of External Relations to consider the ‘client’ journey of a church from point of initial interest to uptake of one of our programmes
New Centre Set-up and Implementation
- Oversee a team who project manage the launch of new Spear centres in partnership with local churches, including overseeing all
practical and operational aspects of the centre setup, recruiting new coaches, and ensuring required policies and systems
are in place.
Active Participation in the Philanthropy and wider Resurgo Mission

In this role you will become our lead on two vital areas of work, to ensure exceptional employability and careers support for some of the most marginalised young people with barriers to employment.
You will:
- Lead our Alternative Provision programme - ‘Inspire to Work’, in partnership with Woodbridge Park Education Service (Hounslow Pupil Referral Unit), providing Year 11 students with meaningful employer engagement, workplace experiences, one-day-a-week supported internships and transition support.
- Develop and deliver our SEND services, resources, delivery and tools to ensure very high standards and impactful delivering for young people. You can read more about our SEND services here.
This position will play a fundamental role in Spark!’s growth and future success, enabling us to expand our reach and deepen our impact for young people who will most benefit from our support.
To succeed in this role you will have the passion, skills and experience required to work directly with neurodiverse young people and those within Alternative Provisions. You will thrive in a fast-paced working environment, able to work independently and as part of a supportive integrated team. You will have a lot of energy, alongside a motivation to have a significant impact on the lives of young people.
