We are looking for a Communications and Social Media Manager (Maternity Cover) to join the dynamic communications team at London's historic food market. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of Borough Market's communications function in a hands-on and creative role which directly shapes how people see and feel about the most famous market in the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the key focus of this role is to develop and manage Borough Market's social media and communications functions to enhance the Trust's overall reputation and build support for the Market's corporate and societal aims, in addition to working alongside the Head of Communications and Marketing to support generalist communications activity.
Interim Communications and Social Media Manager

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:
- Develop, manage and execute BM's organic social plans to help to deliver BM's purpose and key messages to customers and audiences

Applicants will need to have a strong social media background and creative digital skills. Experience in a similar role or environment as well as outstanding communications skills, a self-starter approach and a keen interest in food and drink are essential.

Crucially, you’ll be able to identify stories which resonate with our target audience and write calls to action.

About the team
The Communications team is a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across Public Relations, Storytelling (case studies) and Internal Communications. The team is a mix of ex-forces and civilians, and they are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other.
You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA, with a focus in Wales, to garner information and create compelling marcomms campaigns and activities to raise awareness of SSAFA’s work.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Senior Fundraising Executive to join our Hospital Engagement team. This position is based in the hospital for 3 days per week, with the remaining time spent working from home.
As a Senior Executive, your main focus is to build relationships and connections within the hospital in order to increase the Charity’s visibility, drive income growth and referrals from patient families, visitors and hospital staff.
Salary
The salary for this position is £35,051 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
This is a varied role where you will:
- Engage and develop strong working relationships with hospital staff members.
- Roll out a patient family fundraising training programme, delivering training to staff groups, identifying fundraising champions within the hospital and increase patient family referrals.
- Collaborate with the Hospital Engagement team to recruit and relationship manage hospital staff in our Charity Champions Programme.

You’ll oversee staff communications, media and PR, and lead on corporate and crisis comms. Members of your team deliver our Youth Ambassadors programme and crucial support for DofE’s Fundraising and External Affairs.
We’re looking for someone who is versatile – able to switch between the big picture and the detail, with antennae equally alert to risks and opportunities. You’ll be an accomplished diplomat and influencer, with an ability to spot and make connections within and beyond the team.
