Contract: Permanent, subject to a five-month probationary period
Hours: full-time, 28-35 hours per week. Youth Realities hosts a fortnightly 4-day working week policy.

Salary: £46,800 - this is based on current resource and trustees are open to salary increases as funding becomes available.

The Director of Finance Business Partnering (Operations) is a critical role within the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance division that will lead, develop and deliver high quality finance business partnering and decision support to all the central services of the university, including providing financial planning, reporting and insight across revenue and capital funded activity.
You will support the senior Director of the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance function in development and improvement projects. This position is offered as a six-month contract (with the opportunity of extending), full-time or part-time opportunity, with remote work available in which you can be based anywhere within the UK. As the Interim Head of Health Services, your role will entail collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to guarantee the appropriate delivery of services, adherence / compliance to contracts within England's relevant services, and assistance in the transition of services to new providers. Additionally, you will assume full financial accountability for the services under your purview. During a period of transition and retrenchment as the charity refines its areas of delivery, your role will involve providing leadership, direction, and motivation to various services. You will lead the planning and quality monitoring of these services, evaluate their effectiveness of delivery, and ensure robust reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will manage essential relationships with the NHS, public sector, third sector, and other pertinent stakeholders to guarantee the effective delivery of contracts, commitments, and redeployments to new services (including TUPE).
To excel in this position, you should have a proven track record in leading, managing, and inspiring both staff and volunteers across diverse service delivery areas. Your experience should encompass effectively managing services, involving service users in their development, and establishing partnerships while negotiating contract terms. You should be skilled of using project management skills to maintain transparency and accountability of work projects. Proficiency in budget management across various portfolios to ensure adherence to financial allocations is essential. Additionally, you should demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and sensitivity to the diverse needs of stakeholders. Your skill set should include the ability to foster relationships conducive to transitioning contracts to new work providers and ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery process. You should have experience of building internal relationships with corporate services to facilitate the best outcomes for staff, volunteers, and service users. Knowledge of public sector commissioning within the UK is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
· Develop a thorough understanding of the Foundation and the business area where you are providing support in order to provide a full people partnering service.
· Translate People strategy and agreed deliverables for your designated business areas into achievable plans and a prioritised implementation map.
· Establish effective relationships with business leads to enable you to provide valued interventions and insights on people management strategies.
· Advise directorate managers on managing people effectively including treating people fairly and professionally to ensure employee engagement and the delivery of Foundation objectives.

· Ensure legal compliance of all People processes and procedures, enabling best practice to be attained in providing guidance to managers and employees, and safeguarding the Foundation’s reputation in the execution of its duties.

· Act as a point of contact for employees to discuss confidential matters or grievances.
· Partner with line managers to provide advice on employee issues, coach managers on how to manage people and resolve employee issues including via the grievance and disciplinary processes.

· Process monthly payroll promptly and accurately with supervision from the Senior People Business Partner.

· Act as a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) champion, representing the directorate and liaising with employee networks on People related issues, policies and procedures.
Performance management
· Partner with directorate leads to drive appropriate and timely performance management and improve performance delivery.
· Manage individual review cycles for your designated directorate, sending reminders to managers when reviews are due and signposting staff and Line Managers to further support and guidance.
· Coach managers on the use of PDPs.
· Promote mandatory eLearning and ensure it is undertaken within prescribed timescales.
· Working with the People Advisor and business leads provide oversight of the 360 feedback surveys for end of year reviews for your directorate.
Employee Engagement and Organisational Development
· Take on/lead any other projects as requested by the Head of People & Culture or Chief People Officer
· Nurture a positive working environment by embedding the company culture and values in the implementation of all people related initiatives.
· Provide mentorship to junior colleagues in the People & Culture directorate and play a key role in their development.

Heritage of London Trust restores the buildings and monuments that tell the story of the city and the people who live within it. Founded over 40 years ago, our mission was to rescue characterful and neglected historic sites all across the city. We focus on sites at risk in areas of least investment - in local communities that most need our help - ensuring a sustainable future for every project we work on. To date, we have restored nearly 800 sites across London.
In 2020 we launched our ground-breaking Proud Places youth programme to inspire and engage young people with the world around them, helping them develop knowledge and skills now and for the future. We work with mainstream schools across London and are the only UK heritage organisation to specialise in working with excluded pupils, young people at risk of gang exploitation and young refugees.
