What we want from you

We're on the lookout for a Data Insight Analyst who's ready to dive deep into the world of data-driven decision-making.

If you're someone who gets a kick out of using data to tackle real-world challenges and shape organisational strategy, then you might just be the perfect fit for our team. You'll need to be comfortable working with large datasets, flexing your data mining and customer profiling muscles.

Experience-wise, we're looking for someone who's no stranger to analytics software like Tableau, Faststats, or similar tools. When it comes to databases, you should be fluent in SQL and have an ability to optimise the use of data from across various sources.

First-hand experience with CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge would be advantageous, especially in the charity sector, and if you're curious about data science or even have experience in this area, even better.

Apart from excellent analytical skills, you’ll have an inquisitive mind and love solving problems. We are looking for a strong communicator, confident at delivering your analysis outcomes whether that’s to a room of colleagues or chatting with stakeholders, your ability to convey complex insights in a clear and compelling way will be highly valued.

The British Asian Trust is one of the most exciting and innovative charities working in South Asia. They were founded in 2007 by His Majesty King Charles III and a group of British Asian business leaders to tackle widespread poverty, inequality and injustice in South Asia. The Child Opportunity Fund’s goal is to create more safe spaces to ensure that millions of children can live their lives to the fullest potential. We are looking for an exceptional philanthropic fundraising leader, with experience of leading an appeal and first-hand programme management skills, to undertake a one year maternity cover as the Interim Head of Child Opportunity Appeal. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the appeal, working collaboratively with the team to reach their significant fundraising targets across HNWIs, trusts, institutional funders and corporate partners.

The Consortium for Street Children (CSC) is the only global organisation dedicated solely to achieving positive change for street children worldwide, working with 200+ members in 111 countries. Together with its members and partners, CSC advocates for the rights of street children from the streets to the corridors of power. It works to transform children’s lives on the streets through strengthening street social work practice, while also working with States and communities so that they meet their legal obligations to street-connected children as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the authoritative guidance provided in the CRC General Comment 21.

CSC is dedicated to ensuring that global policy commitments are translated into local action, leading to sustainable positive change for children in street situations. CSC is regarded as an expert in the sector and is judged to ‘punch above its weight’ relative to its size.

Purpose of role

CSC is seeking to recruit a new CEO who will lead, empower, and mobilise the organisation and its support to its network members, whilst securing sustainable funding and investment so CSC can deliver its mission. The CEO will be supported by a passionate and talented team of staff, an experienced Senior Management Team, and a fully supportive, engaged, and inspired Board of Trustees.

Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

Strategic planning and priority setting

· Provide leadership and guidance in the delivery of CSC’s 2024-2029 Strategy, defining priorities to secure sustainable funding and implement the organisation’s goals.

Resource mobilisation and sustainability

• As ‘chief fundraiser’ for the organisation, take the lead in strengthening the organisation’s fundraising strategy and income generation. Be actively involved in working with the staff team to bring in new income (restricted and unrestricted) by conceptualising the presentation of programme, advocacy, policy, and research work and developing customised approaches to donors. Ensure sustainable and diverse sources of income in the face of the current challenging fundraising environment.
• Work with our Development Board and other Trustees to engage with philanthropic and corporate foundations and high net worth individuals globally, attracting new donors and continuing to grow the organisation’s partnership base and international networks.
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with donors (United Nations agencies, foundations, multi-laterals, bi-laterals, corporate sector, and individuals) and partners to cultivate support for CSC through appropriate presence and communication.

Building CSC’s profile

• Protect and further strengthen CSC’s external brand, profile, and credibility as a thought leader in the field of child rights and child protection in relation to street connected children.
• Act as a champion and advocate for the organisation by representing the work of CSC and its positions at the highest levels externally and across the political spectrum and globally, including with the United Nations entities and agencies, regional bodies, national governments, and partners.
• Act as CSC’s key spokesperson publicly by writing, speaking and social media posting on issues related to the rights of street connected children.
• Support the ongoing development and implementation of a communication strategy to raise the profile of CSC as the global major leader on issues related to street connected children.
• Oversee clear, targeted, engaging, and inspirational communications on all platforms, targeted at segmented audiences (funders and potential funders, influencers, decision makers, potential allies, and network members) in line with CSC’s core values and positions.

Organisation and programme management

• Manage the work of CSC to ensure an effective organisation that is operating in line with its vision, aim and objectives.
• Ensure supportive staff development and good practice to maintain a positive working environment with regular performance appraisals and professional development plans.
• Work in partnership with the experienced programme staff in delivering the programme strategy. Provide supportive guidance to the team, including robust programme planning, measurement and evaluation, and reporting processes. Support the team in conceptualising the programmes to achieve new and sustainable funding.

Finance and operations

• Oversee and ensure CSC’s fiscal soundness and strength, effective operational and financial management, consolidating financial stability, efficiency, and impact.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, carefully balancing restricted donor funding and project delivery with a balanced budget for unrestricted funded activity.
• Ensure proper financial and procurement procedures are adhered to, in order to meet the highest standards of international donors, UK auditors and the UK Charity Commission.
• Oversee processes to ensure strong negotiations and contracting of all our restricted funded projects, including robust due diligence processes for our subgrantees and donor compliance with respect to cost recovery and other requirements.

Governance

• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the Board.
• Ensure the Board is fully supported in carrying out its role and responsibilities and that CSC is fully compliant with UK Charity Commission guidelines, Fundraising Regulator, and good practice for non-profits.
• Ensure the preparation and presentation of an annual workplan and budget for review and approval by the Board and present periodic updates of their implementation as well as of the overall financial status of the organisation.
• Work with the independent Board of Directors in the USA, providing information and assistance so that they can fulfil their potential at establishing a solid funding and advocacy base in the US for our mutual global aim of ensuring the respect, protection, and fulfilment of the rights of street children.

Profile

Experience and skillset

• A senior and experienced people leader, with a significant and demonstrable track record in an NGO or public body, of successfully building and maintaining high performing teams and a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Strong financial acumen with experience of income generation.
• A proven record in the cultivation of donors and success in raising funds in the child rights or human rights sector, including from foundations, bilaterals, multilaterals, corporates, and high-net-worth-individuals.
• Demonstrated experience and success in global partnership building, convening stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds and driving an organisation to act as a catalyst for social change.
• A skilled influencer with strong communication (oral and written) and ambassadorial skills.
• Experience of effective advocacy with both internal and external audiences.
• Demonstrable knowledge and credibility as a leader, particularly in the field of children’s services, child rights and/or child protection.

Responsible for: Three part-time counsellors/psychotherapists and a team of volunteer counsellors/psychotherapists.

About IKWRO

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.

IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.

As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.

We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.

The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. The post-holder will be professionally trained, accredited and work within the BACP/BPS Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) or equivalent. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·Provide a service in line with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines or equivalent.

·To support the management team with the strategic development of IKWRO’s counselling services. 

·The provision of effective and high-quality Counselling and Psychotherapy services to IKWRO’s clients through making use of up to date service standards and IKWRO’s Counselling Guidelines.

·To agree a counselling contract with IKWRO’s clients and provide a timely, responsive and appropriate service.

·Carrying out a small one to one clinical caseload and/or depending on the team’s clinical capacity.

·To manage waiting lists according to the level of risk, delivery plans and organisational priorities. 

·To manage the delivery against targets and in accordance with contract requirements. 

·To lead, line manage and develop the counselling services staff as required.

·To do the clinical supervision of Associate Counsellors and trainees.

·Helping clients work towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;

·Maintain clients’ records ensuring accordance with IKWRO’s policies particularly as they relate to confidentiality and data protection.

·Making appropriate referrals and signposting to other services if needed;

·Attending clinical individual supervision, managerial supervision and training courses;

·Liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients;

·Liaising with IKWRO’s staff.

·Maintaining and updating accurate digital records of all cases and up to date monitoring and evaluation databases as well as writing reports.

·Experienced in delivering a variety of therapeutic interventions from different therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic therapy. 

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and driven Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive to join our team in this integral and newly created role. The role will lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners, and developing and managing a pipeline of strategic corporate partners that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with corporate partners, understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and nurture relationships with prospective corporate partners aligned with the mission and values of PCR.
• Develop and implement comprehensive partnership strategies to engage existing and prospective corporate partners.
• Work closely with PCR's delivery departments and other income streams to identify, develop and maximise income generation opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create compelling funding proposals and presentations tailored to the needs and objectives of corporate partners.
• Lead negotiations and secure funding support from corporate partners for activities aligned with PCR’s programmes of work.
• Effectively manage project monitoring and reporting for PCR’s existing funded activities with corporate partners, including regular communication, reporting, and public recognition of contributions (as appropriate), working closely with PCR’s delivery and communications teams.
• Stay informed of industry trends, corporate philanthropy initiatives, and relevant developments to inform partnership strategies and opportunities.
• Represent PCR at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote partnership opportunities and expand our network within the corporate sector.
• Database management to record pipeline and enable strategic planning against established KPIs and income targets.
• Support Director of Partnerships to monitor and report income performance to PCR’s Board of Trustees.

Skills and experience:

• Experience of identifying and securing at least five-figure income from prospective corporate partners, supported by detailed partnership plans.
• Experience of developing and managing at least five-figure partnerships with pharmaceutical and healthcare related companies is desirable.
• Experience of creating and organising supporter engagement events is desirable.
• Excellent and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and deliver upon corporate partnership objectives.
• Experience of preparing compelling and persuasive funding proposals, presentations and reports.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work flexibly according to the demands of the role, including the potential for UK and international travel and attendance at events and conferences.
• A passion for securing funding that will help improve the lives of people with prostate cancer and a commitment to advancing healthcare through strategic partnerships and collaboration.
