The role of the Senior Digital Marketing Executive is to ensure we provide a great supporter experience to any person, company or organisation who donates to the Epilepsy Society and to help the fundraising and marketing teams increase our number of supporters and fundraisers through digital acquisition.
As part of the Charity’s in-house marketing agency, you will support in responding to briefs from other departments and work closely with their teams to create and deliver marketing plans which deliver on revenue and strategic priorities. You will also work closely with multiple stakeholders, including our digital agency and the other teams within the Fundraising and Marketing Department and the wider organisation.
This role involves supporting various digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, and data analytics. The postholder will be responsible for a range of tasks to support the efficient and effective running of a fundraising and marketing team dealing directly with donors at all levels to ensure they have the best donor experience. We need someone to help us to reach new people online, drive income and build an enhanced online supporter experience.
There is flexibility within the role; with a hybrid working approach of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. We are looking for a Bid Manager and Writer to join our Bid Team, which is part of the wider Development, Marketing, and Communications Department! You will support the delivery of effective business development strategies and activities to achieve organisational growth and to enhance our existing services!

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bid Writing and Management
- Lead in all elements of the bidding process which includes writing competitive bids within strict deadlines.
- Identify, research, and communicate opportunities and needs across the organisation, working proactively with colleagues at all levels to identify fundable initiatives.
- Host internal and external briefings and liaise with relevant teams to develop compelling bids which are fit for purpose, realistic, and aligned with organisational needs and aims.
- Lead the development of specific bid responses which includes the structure, content, and responses. Ensure tenders are submitted on time and achieve the highest scores by the evaluator(s).
- Develop and manage an internal network of subject matter experts and bring them into the development and writing process as required.
- Support colleagues in developing presentations, and briefings.
Partnership Building
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships internally throughout the organisation and externally with external partners and organisations.
- Represent Social Interest Group and our subsidiaries in market engagement and events online and in-person and support with all aspects of enhancing and developing our brand.
Organisational Growth
- Identify priorities from strategy and business plans, translating growth plans into effective practices aligned to SIG’s mission, vision, and values.
- Collect and share information relevant to teams involved in Mobilisations and TUPE’s for won bids. Ensure communication is clear, and concise, providing a logical strategy and direction to follow to ensure a smooth transition for new contracts.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.
KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, this includes a track record of securing new bids and/or retaining existing contracts
- Previous experience in bid/proposal writing, reviewing, and editing
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, experience in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to travel and attend market engagement events and to visit services to gain greater understanding of what SIG offers and to inform teams of relevant tender responses
- Ability to create and write engaging content, with proofreading skills
- Proven ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral and ability to build relationships
- Ability to review large amounts of information and research materials to inform model development and shape tender responses
- Proficiency in navigating tender portals
What we would like, but not essential:
- Previous experience managing the full bidding process end to end from pre market engagement and contract notification, through to award
- Previous experience working in the same or similar sector

About the role
Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.
The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.
This will span three main projects:
· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);
· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and
· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.
Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.
Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.
You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.
This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.
Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. You should be highly organised and goals-driven, with a collaborative approach, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to harness the power of marketing to support women’s economic empowerment.

We are looking for Senior Supporter Acquisition Manager to join our Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes and to achieve the growth ambitions of our Fundraising strategy.
The Supporter Acquisition team is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media. Reporting into the Deputy Marketing Director, the Senior Strategic Marketing Manager will provide expertise to implement an integrated performance marketing programme, helping to raise awareness and familiarity of Tommy’s with our target audiences, grow our active supporter base and increase donations.
The role will lead digital supporter acquisition, working closely with the brand marketing team to deliver supporter-centred, creative marketing campaigns and activity across a range of channels.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and develop Tommy’s supporter acquisition strategy taking an audience-first approach to activity, using a range of tactics including paid digital, SEO and email.
· Lead the team to manage and optimise paid campaigns across platforms including search, social, and other relevant channels to maximise brand engagement and income.
· With a focus on acquisition, work alongside the Supporter Engagement Manager to keep new and existing supporter journeys updated and on brand.
· Develop creative, engaging content in line with our content and channel strategies for campaigns and projects, working closely with the wider marketing and fundraising.
· Support an integrated cross-departmental approach with Tommy’s individual giving, mass fundraising and partnership fundraising teams to support income generation and growth.
· Work in collaboration with fundraising project teams in the development and marketing of new products, events and campaigns, providing marketing expertise at every stage of the process from inception to delivery.
· Champion a supporter-first approach, rooted in audience insight.
· Use data and insights to map and analyse audience behaviour to inform marketing and fundraising activity (GA4, brand insights, market research).
· Analyse and use data insight to implement continual improvements and optimisations to campaigns and initiatives to hit OKRs.

Person Specification:
· Experienced with project management.

This post plays a crucial role as part of the WW Development team, who are responsible for developing high-quality products, and supporting the delivery of paid for services to our clients and ensuring we meet their needs.
Our clients are employers and their employees, operating across all sectors and industries Our current portfolio of paid-for services include eLearning courses, employer and staff surveys (Index and Snapshot - benchmarking and reporting on best practice in policy and practice), and policy reviews. WW has a Client Services team responsible for sales and account management, but both teams collaborate closely to ensure high quality services and products are delivered to all clients throughout the year.
Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
-Be responsible for the ongoing delivery of our Workplace Wellbeing Index and Snapshot. Building surveys, generating links and producing reports for delivery to clients
-Lead infrastructure management of the Index and Snapshot (LMS) and Qualtrics survey platform and digital and physical reporting interface
-Within Qualtrics, script and test surveys for the WW Index and Snapshot. Liaising with Qualtrics support teams (service providers) as appropriate
-Deliver WW Index and Snapshot quality assurance activities.
-Oversee the management of the Snapshot LMS as a Super user, creating and managing client accounts, uploading client surveys and client reports
