Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy team based in London or Manchester.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week to be worked in the office. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.

High Value Giving is an area of income growth for Centrepoint, with the Philanthropy team forming part of the Relationship Fundraising Department. The Senior Philanthropy Officer role plays a crucial part within the Philanthropy team, as the team look to build upon their recent successes and income trajectory.

Developing donor relationships, producing important cultivation resources and contributing to the creation of a robust donor pipeline will form key responsibilities for this role. About You

The Senior Philanthropy Officer will report into the Philanthropy Manager. This role will steward its own major donor portfolio, managing gifts between £5,000 and £100,000, and project manage an element of the team strategy to help achieve the Philanthropy income target.

The post holder with work closely with other teams, particularly the mid-value team, within fundraising and the organisation more widely, to maximise income for Centrepoint.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Philanthropy Officer, you will play a key role in growing high-value income by developing relationships with major donors and building a strong pipeline of future supporters.

You will manage your own portfolio of major donors while also contributing to the wider philanthropy strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and stewarding a portfolio of major donors, developing tailored engagement and communication plans

The Role

SERT is re-organising our structure geographically into three Catchment Clusters in the South East (defined as South London, East and West). Having conducted a successful pilot in the East, we are now expanding this approach to the new South London and West Catchment Clusters.

The West Catchment Cluster (WCC) requires an individual with proven leadership experience who can lead this newly formed team and strategically maximise SERT’s impact in the predominantly Surrey-based catchments of the Loddon, Wey and Mole.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Help to establish and enhance a ‘one-team’ ethos across the CC, whilst also ensuring it is embedded within the wider organisation
• Lead WCC’s prioritisation on the key activities (both restoration and engagement) that we wish to undertake in our Surrey Catchments.
• Direct line management of two roles (this may increase in the future):

i)Working with the Natural Flood Management Lead to grow the opportunities of using nature to hold back water in the landscape 

ii) Managing the Catchment Manager to ensure our Catchment Partnerships are action-based.

• Identify and directly support new project funding opportunities from a range of sources to grow our impact.
• Ensure WCC is at the right tables where decisions affecting its rivers are being made and has an important and respected voice in those decisions.

What We Are Looking For

This role is an exciting challenge and will require you to build on the foundations of what has already been achieved within these catchments. You will need to maximise impact by working with our Specialist Teams to priorities SERT’s activities and strategically guide river restoration projects.  You will also work closely with our Working With Communities team (WWC) to improve engagement with the communities who live along these rivers. It is desirable if you have a good overview of river catchments, data monitoring and the role that nature-based solutions (such as Natural Flood Management) play in providing multiple benefits.

About You

Besides having a passion for rivers, we require an individual who can confidently develop and grow a new team, whilst seeking new opportunities for impact. You will be adept at business development and will be comfortable supporting strategic relationships with catchment partners, local government, water companies, local businesses and environmental NGOs. You will need a good overview of Health and Safety best practise, empowering our Restoring River Catchments (RRC) team to undertake effective project delivery and risk management in the field.

AMF profile

Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) was founded in 2004 and is a charity that fights malaria in a highly effective, accountable and transparent way.

We do this by purchasing and distributing multiple millions of long-lasting insecticide-treated nets (LLINs) at a time in nationwide universal coverage campaigns. This is the most cost-effective way of preventing malaria. AMF receives donations from the public and in the last financial year received US$147 million and, in our history, now over US$820 million. AMF is particularly data-focused and monitors and reports on net use and drives and supports innovation to improve the effectiveness of malaria programmes.

AMF is the world’s third largest funder of nets.

AMF has been rated a top charity for all of the last 16 years by independent charity evaluators GiveWell, Giving What We Can and The Life You Can Save who focus on impact and cost-effectiveness.

We are a team of 15 highly motivated individuals with different skills and experience. Each person has an important role to play. All team members work remotely with constant communication between them. While the team is small, the impact is big - our net distributions protect millions of people. Our largest programme is in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where we are funding 52 million nets to protect 94 million people for distribution during 2025 to 2027. We have ongoing multi-million net programmes in other countries including Chad, Guinea, Nigeria, South Sudan, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.

Role Description

Our activities and commitments are steadily increasing, and 2026-2029 is expected to be a very busy period of distributions, with over ~70m nets planned for distribution in 2026 alone. In light of this, AMF is recruiting a Senior Operations Manager to join the operations team and play an important role in ensuring the success of the net distributions. We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and intellectual skills who is able to work collaboratively. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking on significant responsibility by leading on several of AMF’s programmes.

The role will include involvement in all stages of a distribution campaign (pre-agreement, net procurement, post-agreement, during distribution, and post distribution) across two main areas: 

1. Work with National Malaria Control Programmes (NMCPs) and distribution partners

2. Work with AMF’s independent monitoring partners

Further information

The Senior Operations Manager will lead on several of AMF’s programmes. They will work closely with NMCPs and distribution partners, in country partners, AMF independent monitors, cofunding partners, the AMF Operations and Technology teams to ensure the success of AMF distributions. 

More specifically, they will manage the distributions through the following stages

1. Pre agreement

• Establishing the funding gap

• Establishing the net need, malaria burden, insecticide resistance data

• Working with the Ministry of Health to negotiate and put in place an agreement for the programme

2. Net procurement

• Working with AMF’s procurement lead to order nets in time for the distribution

3. Post-agreement

• After signature of the agreement, working with countries and distribution partners to put in place the plans for key elements, in particular

  • Digital data collection

  • 5% verification

  • Net tracking

• Tender for and select an independent partner for distribution monitoring, and work closely with this partner that will be AMF’s eyes and ears in country

4. During the distribution

• Track information coming from all partners

• Analyse with the support of AMF’s analytics team registration and distribution data and take actions if needed

• Account for all AMF nets

5. Post distribution

• Tender for and select an independent partner for post distribution monitoring, and work closely with this partner to carry out surveys at 0, 9, 18 and 27 months post-distribution

• Share results with in-country partners and encourage appropriate actions to be taken

Through these stages, it will be important to maintain strong relationships with the key partners, notably the National Malaria Control Programmes, distribution partners and cofunding partners to ensure that distributions are carried out according to the agreements signed between the Ministry of Health and AMF. 

These relationships will ensure that solutions can be found constructively to issues that arise during implementation of AMF’s programmes.

Aside from the areas above, there will be other work related to AMF Group Operations, dependent on the candidate’s skill set.

Characteristics of the successful candidate

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and intellectual skills, who works collaboratively in a team and relishes responsibility and the opportunity to learn and develop their abilities. This role supports the delivery of stories and campaigns that achieve media coverage nationally and in regional media that fall outside of our hospice catchment areas.

You will lead on PR support for some key areas of the charity, including retail and volunteering.
You’ll also gain exposure to all the teams that the press office supports, which includes writing press assets for fundraising, healthcare, bereavement and influencing/campaigning stories.

Summary

This is a new role leading the strategic use of marketing and communications to advance Challenge Works’ social impact mission and commercial objectives.

You will serve as the organisation’s senior lead on marketing and communications, acting as a trusted partner to leaders across the business, and reporting into a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

There are two key strands to the role.

1. Driving marketing and communications for Challenge Works with a focus on brand and business development. You will work closely with our priority area leads and Communications Manager to plan and deliver integrated campaigns, digital content, events, stakeholder engagement and PR to accelerate their growth priorities. You will also develop and deliver communications strategies to strengthen the Challenge Works brand through impactful thought leadership, and orchestrate the rollout of campaigns that position us as a leader in transformative innovation.
2. Overseeing the delivery of effective development and delivery of prize communications, working with our small in-house communications team and a retained PR agency, as well as any other ad hoc contractors. It also includes acting as an adviser and, where needed, an extra pair of hands on prize communications activity.

Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically while moving swiftly to action. We are a small team and everyone needs to dive in and be hands-on.

We are entirely funded through our work on prizes, so our communications and marketing activity needs to show business results as well as supporting our impact goals. Our target audiences are a niche group: innovation teams within governments, research and innovation funders, philanthropic foundations, and other innovation partners and experts, both in the UK and worldwide. Success means building our brand in the long term to generate awareness and trust with those target communities while also delivering opportunity-led communications that drive conversion for specific propositions. With limited resource, all our channels need to work together effectively to maximise impact.

You will draw on strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively across Challenge Works, Nesta and external partners, while bringing the authority and insight needed to influence senior leaders and ensure our communications consistently reflect our ambition and expertise.

The role

• Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns aimed at reaching and engaging current and future funders, with a particular focus on owned digital channels and in person stakeholder events.
• Build the Challenge Works brand across all relevant channels so that it becomes synonymous with transformative innovation in the minds of funders in the UK and around the world.
• Thought leadership. Collaborate with internal and affiliated external thought leaders to nurture a pipeline of authentic, high-impact content that builds the Challenge Works brand and generates qualified leads for prize funders and partners.

The person

• A strong track record of developing, delivering and leading the delivery of strategic multichannel marketing strategies and plans, using marketing as part of business development and lead generation in a B2B context
• A strong track record of developing and evolving brand identities in a B2B or social impact context, ensuring brand consistency and resonance across all touchpoints
• Demonstrable understanding of social, political and economic trends and market conditions to provide strategic communications advice to senior staff

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Officer with a genuine passion for conversation, connection, and community to join our Digital Engagement Team.

As the Senior Social Media Officer, you will lead the delivery of the charity’s social media activity, as well as the paid boosting strategy of social media content across all platforms.

This is not a broadcasting role: it’s about fostering meaningful engagement with our supporters and raising the voices of young people and children with cancer.

This role is part of the Digital Engagement team, who are responsible for paid media, email marketing and organic social media activity. While social media will be the core focus of this role, experience in paid media and/or email marketing is desirable.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of the organisation’s social media strategy across all major platforms (eg TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and more).
• Lead the planning, development, and execution of the organisation’s paid boosting strategy of social media content across all major platforms, to deliver against comms team objectives (for example, Reach or Engagement KPIs month-on-month, or campaign-on-campaign).
• Lead the planning, development, and execution of our smaller paid media campaigns to deliver against briefed KPIs (eg Paid social, PPC; working on smaller conversion campaigns or awareness campaigns).
• Act as a brand and channel guardian, ensuring consistent voice, tone, messaging, and visual identity across all social content.
• Foster a supportive and engaging environment for our digital communities, responding to comments and engaging in discussions; escalate risks where appropriate.
• Deliver and maintain our social media moderation guidelines and rota.
• Oversee the content planning process and maintain a high quality content calendar, identifying gaps, opportunities, and content pipelines.
• Collaborate with teams across the organisation on content creation (copy, stills, audio, short form video), ensuring alignment with brand, accessibility standards, and audience needs.

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Proven experience managing and growing organisational social media channels, ideally across multiple audiences and markets. (Desirable: experience in the third sector).
• Demonstrable experience planning, delivering, and evaluating social media strategies and/or multi channel campaigns.
• Proven experience managing and executing paid media campaigns, ideally across multiple channels and campaign objectives (eg. Paid social conversion campaigns; mid-funnel PPC campaigns). (Desirable: experience in the third sector).
• Strong track record of community management, including moderating discussions, protecting online spaces, and managing sensitive or complex enquiries.
• Experience producing engaging content for different platforms (copy, static, video, audio, short form reels).
• Experience using analytics, social listening, and reporting tools to derive insights and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience project-managing the implementation of campaign tracking across various ad platforms and websites.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and juggling cross team projects in a fast moving environment.

The Project Manager plays a vital role in delivering exceptional Project Management for the major new Salesforce implementation of Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud. This project will improve our Supporter experiences particularly in terms of email journeys. This role takes responsibility of the planning, execution and management of the Salesforce implementation of Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud project.

This strategic project is key to implementing the 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure. The post holder will manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution through to embedding the new platform, ensuring the project is delivered on time, to scope, and to a high standard.

The post holder is part of a small team at ARUK and from time to time may need to support other colleagues to ensure smooth critical service delivery to the organisation.

This is an 18-month FTC.

 Key Responsibilities:

Project Management – Salesforce Marketing Cloud

· Develop a flexible project plan for the Marketing Cloud project that is adaptable to unexpected changes; manage these changes effectively through appropriate stakeholder management and risk planning.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with project team members, internal stakeholders, and third parties, to foster collaboration and drive the successful delivery of the salesforce marketing cloud project.  Manage the relationship with the external implementation partner.

· Drive and monitor project progress against timelines using appropriate project management tools (e.g. Excel, Smartsheet, MS Projects or similar), and ensure stakeholders are updated at key checkpoints; ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and understood from the start.

· Lead and participate in all required project meetings including sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.

· Apply sound judgement and problem-solving expertise to manage project risks, decisions, and dependencies within the wider organisational context; demonstrate accountability by escalating project risks via appropriate and agreed channels.

· Support the Project Sponsor, Product Owner and Programme Manager with effective decision-making, budget management, and management of dependencies with other digital or organisational workstreams.

· Responsible for assessing and managing the project risk throughout the life of the project

· Manage all project governance and documentation, ensure meetings, actions and decisions are managed and documented appropriately.

· At the end of the project, conduct project closure and review sessions to capture successes and learnings and help ensure project outcomes and the new platform are effectively embedded into business-as-usual (BAU).

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

· Lead on the development of a stakeholder management plan for the Project Sponsor and Product Owner ensuring it is tailored and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

· Liaising with the L&D team and internal communications team to ensure suitable change management and communication plans are in place

· Liaise on a regular basis with ARUK’s central Projects & Programmes team, ensuring project plans and approach align with ARUK’s project management approach.

· Work with the Senior DDT Programme Manager to ensure plans and reporting are set up and delivered in line with the wider DDT programme requirements. Build strong professional relationships, trust, and inspire confidence with stakeholders at all levels.

Project Management Best Practice

· Adopt and apply appropriate project management methodologies to suit the nature of the project.

· Contribute to the facilitation of project management best practise within DDT Teams

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Project management experience with evidence of successful delivery of complex technology projects including the identification, recording and tracking of expected benefits from the project during the project lifetime.

· Lead, motivate and manage this project, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear, drawing on the skills, strengths and knowledge of others to ensure deliverables are met.

· Recognised project management qualification or demonstrated relevant work experience that also demonstrates strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive project outcomes.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.

· Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, growth environment.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, finding solutions and ensuring the project stays on track.

· Ability to maintain clarity when under pressure and retain focus on the end goal.

· Motivate, manage and pass on best practice in project management to other relevant colleagues.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
