About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Fundraiser to provide maternity cover and ensure the smooth delivery of our Individual Giving programme. In this key role, you’ll help maintain stable income and deliver essential activity across our Individual Giving strategy.
You’ll manage a broad portfolio including Individual Donations, Regular Giving, Mid‑Level Gifts and Appeals, ensuring strong stewardship and supporter engagement to maximise retention and long‑term value.
A major part of the role involves leading on appeals and campaigns - using supporter data and insight to shape activity, track performance, and apply learning to enhance supporter experience and improve ROI. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident in campaign management, data analysis, and building meaningful donor relationships.

We’re looking for a Senior Community Fundraiser to help build and grow our work across South Wales, while also playing a key part in our long-standing Asda Tickled Pink partnership, a collaboration that has already raised over £100 million. About the role
This is an opportunity to help re-establish Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Wales and build meaningful relationships across local communities. You’ll develop new supporters, steward existing ones, and represent the charity at events and in Asda stores as part of a new engagement pilot.
The role is based in Cardiff with hybrid working. You can work up to two days per week from home, with the remaining time spent in the community, at the Cardiff office, or in external meetings. - Extensive experience (ideally 5+ years) in Individual Giving, Legacy or fundraising acquisition roles.
- Proven success delivering multi-channel (including digital) retention campaigns for both cash, legacy and regular giving donors with strong ROI.
- Experience managing external agencies and suppliers to high performance standards.
- Strong background in regular giving retention.
- Demonstrable experience managing and reporting on retention budgets.

Key responsibilities:
Funding bids and proposals

Draft and develop effective and impactful fundraising bids and proposals to secure both grant income and corporate sponsorship

Project manage the process of developing funding proposals - including completing funding checklists, coordinating the team on relevant deadlines and booking in time for sign off from relevant colleagues.
Relationship management

Play a key role in donor stewardship alongside Head of Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including grant makers, corporates and individual donors

Support SLT in identifying - and building relationships with - relevant individuals within prospective funder organisations - including coordinating meetings.

Ensure we stay on top of our grant requirements, including drafting grant reports and coordinating other team members to fulfil those requirements

Pipeline development
