Job description
Are you an experienced Finance professional looking for a new challenge? Would you like to join the Finance team for one of the UKs leading charities? We would love to hear from you!

We are looking for two Senior Finance Business Partners to join our Finance and Commercial team on a full time, permanent basis.

Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.

Your focus will be to deliver strong and effective financial management within your designated Directorate at RBL. You will provide senior financial and commercial support, analysis, challenge and advice to enable decision making on a sound financial basis. Developing trusted relationships with the senior management team and budget holders to ensure financial projections, budgets, forecasts, and business cases are robust and aligned with organisational strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Working with the Executive Director, Directors, Heads of Departments and budget holders to support the preparation of long-term strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
- Taking a lead role to ensure that new projects are subject to effective financial planning and commercial control, influence budget holders and provide technical and strategic insight in order to achieve the Directorates’ overall objectives
- Review and challenge draft budgets and forecasts to ensure submissions are complete, accurate, deliver value for money and remain within overall financial framework targets
- To lead the review of the monthly management reports and ensure comprehensive and insightful analysis and commentary on key variances
- Attend monthly management meetings to present consolidated and departmental monthly financial results, drawing out major financial trends and issues.
- Managing a Finance Business Partner

Here at RBL, we aim to support our people and their wellbeing, with a package including generous paid holiday allowance and pension scheme contributions, and a range of optional benefits and discounts.

You will be contracted to our London, Haig House, Hub. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

Should you wish to explore a Homebased/Remote working contract (which will not include the London supplement to salary), then this can be discussed at interview stage.

For more detailed information about the role, please see our Vacancy Information Pack attached to our direct advert.

RBL is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive organisation, reflecting the diversity of the armed forces community and of wider society. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and personal characteristics and aim to operate an inclusive recruitment process.

Closing Date:            Monday 30th September 2024

We may hold interviews throughout the advertising period and may close this vacancy early if we believe we have enough strong applications to be able to successfully fill the role(s). Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
