Are you a Health and Safety Advisor looking to develop your experience in a complex and rewarding environment?

We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join the St Mungo’s Safety and Quality team who are committed to maintaining high levels of H&S standards and ensuring the organisation meets its legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations while fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing for all stakeholders.

As a Health and Safety Advisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff, clients and all relevant stakeholders who are involved with St Mungo’s operations. Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the wider organisation on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct thorough planned and reactive audits, investigations, and reviews against health and safety standards.
  • Monitor incidents and accidents, providing recommendations for improvement and escalating concerns as necessary to senior management.
  • Facilitate engagement with health and safety activities across the organisation through various channels such as briefings, presentations, and training.

Our Central Office is based in Tower Hill, London which will be your office location. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. Additionally, you will be required to travel to different sites across London and the Southwest to conduct audits and inspections.

  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards, possess the ability to effectively engage and train others, and exhibit sound judgment in handling complex situations.
  • Ability to develop and deliver health and safety training and e-learning.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is dedicated to supporting our mission of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all stakeholders at St Mungo’s.
