Role Summary

Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Active Journeys team as our new Project Officer. 

As the Project Officer you will be required to play a dynamic role in delivering a variety of walking, wheeling, and cycling projects that make a real difference to people's lives. 

In this varied role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering practical activities for young people in schools, supporting the implementation of School Streets to create safer and healthier environments, and working closely with the National Cycle Network and Infrastructure teams on community engagement for related schemes. You will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships to ensure the successful delivery of projects, and will also be responsible for integrating Sustrans volunteers into your work to help maximise impact and community involvement. 

This role involves regular travel, with work taking place at different locations to support and deliver projects for the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.

About the role:

EJF seeks a dynamic and highly organised individual to join our expanding Environmental Defenders (ED) programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we scale up support for grassroots leaders who protect our planet and defend interlinked human rights.

Working closely with the Global Programme Coordinator, the ED Programme Officer will enable EJF to deliver tailored training on advocacy, investigation, and filmmaking to environmental defenders worldwide. This starts with supporting the coordination of our new Ocean Defenders project alongside EJF’s teams in Southeast Asia and West Africa.

As an effective multitasker and skilled coordinator, you will lead the operational and logistical elements of our capacity-strengthening programmes. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tailored support. Key responsibilities:

Taking instruction and guidance from the Global Programme Coordinator (and in her absence, a named member of the Senior Management Team), the Environmental Defenders Programme Officer will:

 

● Plan and organise in-person (and remote) support for environmental defenders – leading on scheduling, budgeting, logistics and other administrative elements of the EJF support.

● Support the implementation of the capacity-strengthening programme, following up with colleagues and partners to ensure continuous progress towards deliverables.

● Coordinate with environmental defenders (grassroots NGOs and other civil society leaders) – maintaining relationships with focal points, collecting feedback, and monitoring support needs.

● Contribute to the implementation and improvement of the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) processes, to measure the programme’s impact, the quality of the support provided and adapt to  emerging needs and priorities.

● Support with creating new and streamlining internal processes – developing templates, centralising training materials, and facilitating the sharing of lessons learned across teams. 

● Assist with production of reports to funders and in securing new and additional funding for the programme.

● Support communications efforts on the Environmental Defenders programme, drafting impactful content for the website, sharing successes with the EJF comms team and identifying other opportunities to improve the programme’s visibility.

● Ensure that digital images from the Programme and from partners are logged in the EJF image library and utilised effectively to drive engagement in the programme.

● Conduct research and participate in networking opportunities to identify potential organisations and individuals to join and benefit from the Environmental Defenders Programme.

● Liaise between partners and EJF’s finance function to ensure that activities are delivered within budget, delivering value for money.

Essential experience and skills:

● Experience coordinating logistics for international trips, events or complex projects.

● Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners (NGOs or others) from different cultures and across time zones.

● Experience in managing complex schedules and meeting deadlines.

● Experience with budget management (planning and reporting) and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

About the Role

The Legal Project Officer coordinates two projects which sit at the heart of ILPA’s legal policy and strategic legal coordination work.

The Legal Project Officer will work closely with the Legal Team (Legal Director and Senior Legal Officer) to run ILPA’s Working Groups and with the Senior Legal Projects Manager in a key role to coordinate strategic legal advice and litigation. The Legal Project Officer also works closely with the rest of the ILPA Secretariat, including the Chief Executive, Content and Digital Channels Manager, Training Manager, and with Trustees, ILPA and SLAC members, the SLAC Steering Committee and convenors of ILPA’s Working Groups.

You will support the organisation and running of ILPA’s thematic Working Groups, which provide a valuable forum for ILPA members to share best practice and discuss issues of current importance, assisting with agenda-setting, presenting updates, following-up on action points, answering queries, and preparing meeting summaries. The overall aim of these activities is to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law, policy and practice. 

You will work with the Senior Legal Projects Manager to develop partnerships with NGOs and legal professionals around the UK and to coordinate all Strategic Legal Advice Committee (SLAC) meetings. These meetings will be held online, across the UK. Each SLAC group will hold four meetings per year as well as emergency meetings where necessary. You will be responsible for the minute taking of all SLAC meetings. You will work with the Senior Legal Projects Manager to set member-led meeting agendas, identify member training needs, facilitate training, update the SLAC website, and feed in to monitoring and evaluation of the project. You will be responsible for coordinating SLAC Steering Committee meetings.

About you

The position would suit a self-motivated individual who is passionate about the sector and is looking to further their career in the immigration world, through coordinating and organising these two projects at ILPA.

You may be keen to be working at the heart of the systemic changes following Brexit, recent significant legislation, including the Nationality and Borders Act 2022, Illegal Migration Act 2023, Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Act 2024, attempts to remove people seeking asylum in the UK to Rwanda, government initiatives to “reduce net migration” such as the increased Minimum Income Requirement for family visas, the suspension of the refugee family reunion route, and the recently introduced Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill. 

You will have an interest in strategic litigation and how it can be used to protect and promote the rights of those discriminated against on the basis of their migration status. You will be passionate about being involved in the coordination of a unique and exciting project that brings the third and legal sectors together in developing strategic litigation. 

Given the complexity of immigration, asylum and nationality law, we do not expect applicants to have expertise in every area, but an understanding of the law and excellent critical analysis skills are key. Any successful applicant will be able to attend ILPA training to further their knowledge.

The Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) is a charity and a professional association the majority of whose members are barristers, solicitors, advocates and IAA (previously OISC) regulated advisers practising in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law. About the ILPA Team 

You would be joining a small team, of around 10 team members. Under our current hybrid work policy, we have one anchor day (currently a Tuesday), in which you will be expected to work from an office setting in London, together with team members living in England and Scotland. The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Head of IT Operations & Governance to oversee and advance the organisation’s technology infrastructure, governance, and information security.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position, ensuring the foundation’s systems are secure, efficient, and scalable to support its expanding global mission. You’ll manage outsourced providers, optimise cloud and Microsoft 365 systems, and ensure the organisation maintains exemplary standards in cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection.

Confidentiality, integrity, and discretion are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pressures surrounding technology management in a global, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment balancing operational delivery with the need for strategic foresight and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a secure, scalable IT environment aligned with organisational goals.
• Oversee the governance, risk, and compliance framework, embedding data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
• Drive strategic initiatives including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint adoption, digital process improvement, and infrastructure modernisation.
• Manage third-party service providers and ensure high-quality, responsive IT support.
• Establish strong monitoring, reporting, and audit mechanisms to maintain readiness and accountability.
• Foster digital confidence across teams through user training, guidance, and knowledge-sharing.
• Act as the senior point of contact for IT risk management, business continuity, and emerging technology trends.

About You

You are a trusted, discreet, and strategic technology professional with a track record of delivering secure, high-performing IT operations in complex organisations. You bring strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills, combined with the ability to lead confidently in sensitive and global contexts.

Essential skills and experience:

• Senior-level experience in IT operations, governance, or systems management.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments.
• Proven track record in cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers and large-scale technology projects.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with sound judgment and discretion.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across international teams.

Desirable:

• Senior experience in the not-for-profit or philanthropic sector.
• Experience in a global organisation, understanding diverse operational contexts and technology pressures worldwide.

Working Arrangements

• This is a hybrid position, requiring at least 2 days per week onsite at either the Central London or Amsterdam office.
• The post is full-time and permanent; however, a 4-day working week will be considered. 
• Salary Range: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum

What we’re looking for:

• Someone who will support the success of the Regional Fundraising team by coordinating a range of processes, projects and ways of working to create better collaboration and consistency across the team, enabling us to meet our team objectives of securing sustainable income.
• Someone who can monitor and take ownership of all regular Regional Processes e.g. Monthly financial reporting, basic database (CARE) checks/reporting, risk assessment process, setting up team meeting and conducting research.
• Someone with a data driven mindset and confident in representing the team’s data needs to other teams such as Data team and CRM Migration team.
• Someone confident in liaising with other teams across the charity as needed (e.g. obtaining data from data team, bringing back key information on upcoming campaigns etc).

An exciting opportunity as a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist has arisen to join the Therapies Service at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney. You will work as part of committed and creative team, which offers innovative therapeutic interventions and support to people with specialist palliative and end life care needs.

The Therapies team works in collaboration with other clinical professionals and volunteers across all areas of the service; inpatient, outpatient and community. This role involves the provision of rehabilitative palliative care and non-pharmacological symptom management for patients with life-limiting illness to optimise their independence and maximise their quality of life.

JOB PURPOSE 

The Operations team at Start Network seeks to provide high quality services and works across all directorates. The Operations Officer plays a crucial, frontline role for the organisation, often being the first port-of-call for enquiries from staff and supporting the Senior Operations Manager in the day-to-day delivery of services. The role

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a key operational role within the finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial activities, supporting programme delivery through robust financial management, and maintaining compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

This role is hands-on and collaborative, working closely with internal teams and the Finance Officer to deliver accurate financial reporting, manage invoicing cycles, oversee treasury and insurance functions, and provide practical financial support across Foundations.

About you

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the public sector or a charity.

You will have:

• A strong track record of producing management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis.
