The Role
As Senior Grants Executive, you’ll play a vital role in the post-award administration of our grants programme, ensuring that funding is effectively managed and impactful. You’ll work closely with The Royal Marsden hospital staff, fundraisers, and communications teams to support a wide range of projects—from psychological support services to early-phase drug development.
You’ll also:
· Administer grant-funded projects such as Pre-doctoral Fellowships and Quality Improvement initiatives.
· Support the implementation of a new Grants Management System.
· Provide timely, accurate information to fundraising and marketing teams.
· Help ensure donor funds are used effectively and transparently.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a confident communicator and skilled organiser with:
· Significant experience in administration, ideally in the charity, NHS, or academic sectors.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
· A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A scientific background and experience with grants or finance systems are desirable but not essential.

About you
The successful candidate will be an experienced data professional with advanced SQL and Excel skills, capable of managing complex queries and large datasets. A strong track record of problem solving and improving data processes is a must. They will have an analytical approach to data, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
About the role
As Senior Data Executive, you will work closely with the rest of the Data Team to ensure the Fundraising and Communications Department has access to high-quality data, delivered in a timely manner to support effective marketing campaigns. This includes working within Raiser’s Edge NXT to deliver data selections and imports, maintaining data quality and ensuring the CRM is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose. You will also manage relationships with key suppliers and drive continuous improvement of data processes.

Job Purpose
This role is a senior leadership team member and strategic lead for all corporate and consumer communications, member business engagement and marketing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Leadership
· To play a role together with the CEO and the Director of Policy and Place in setting the overall vision of the organisation and ensuring delivery specifically in relation to the agreed business plan.

Member Engagement
· Driving, developing and ensuring implementation of the member engagement strategy.

About the role
This role plays an integral part in helping manage and develop the outputs of the External Affairs team, while advising on FSRH strategic issues. As the Senior Manager and Deputy to the Director in the team, you will manage the team’s External Affairs Officer, and drive delivery of the ambitions contained in FSRH’s Hatfield Vision. As Manager to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare you will work directly with leading Parliamentarians and partners to manage and deliver the APPG’s annual programme of work and meetings.

A background in policy, public affairs, campaigning, as well as proven project management and events experience is highly desirable. During austerity and Covid we diversified, successfully taking on NHS work with people with long-term health conditions. We provide social prescribing support and health and wellbeing coaching to patients for Brent GPs. In 2024-5 we helped over 18000 people. We’re a leading partner on the Brent Health Educators Programme. Recently we’ve focused on developing and retaining a much larger staff group, using our data better and improving our marketing.
Brent Mencap offers fantastic free creative and wellbeing activities for people with a learning disability, autism and long-term health conditions. These have flourished since Covid. People love yoga, poetry, singing, gardening, Breathe and Move, self-advocacy, campaigning, awareness raising, CREATE art activities for young people, external trips and parties. Small grants, donations and our reserves fund this while we get longer term funding. Our self-advocates want us to focus on paid employment, youth services and making Brent Council use accessible information properly. People with a learning disability, neurodiversity and their family carers are inclusively supported by social prescribers for advice and by health educators/coaches for health-related matters if needed.
