The UK Programme seeks to put an end to corruption in the UK and the role of the UK in facilitating corruption abroad. We expose and tackle corruption and hold power to account here in the UK through robust research, investigations and advocacy. To do that we need to understand the way corruption works and the systems that enable it.

- Four major pieces of Economic Crime legislation making it harder for dirty money to find its way to the UK
- The introduction of a register to reveal the true owners of foreign companies owning property in the UK
- The Bribery Act - regarded as the toughest piece of legislation of its kind.
- Unexplained Wealth Orders (UWOs) – an investigative tool to help law enforcement act on corrupt assets.
- Promised reforms to lobbying transparency and regulation of post-political appointments.
We work with the UK and devolved governments, the private sector and civil society to create a UK free from corruption.
About the role
As Senior Policy Manager (Maternity Cover), you will be responsible for leading TI-UK’s advocacy work in the national political sphere, particularly in Westminster, managing the delivery of strategy and engagement on legislation, and MP and Peer engagement across the UK Programme. You will line manage the UK Programme’s Advocacy Officer, and advocate effectively for priority reforms to senior stakeholders while ensuring the team’s policy experts are brought in at relevant stages.
In addition to this, you will:
- Develop and maintain technical expertise on relevant legislation/policy to enable you to engage with senior stakeholders in Parliament.
- Contribute to development and delivery of TI-UK’s strategic engagement with political parties at the national level throughout the electoral cycle: for example, driving TI-UK’s strategy for engagement with UK-wide political parties, before and after a General election. This role is envisaged to operate with autonomy at a senior level while ensuring any outputs or external representation is consistent with TI-UK’s strategy, tone and usual ways of working.
- Line manage the Advocacy Officer, supporting and guiding them to deliver on agreed objectives, and assessing their objectives, assignments and performance.
- Ensure outputs are accurate and effective, and reviewed by the relevant technical policy experts (as required) within the team.
- Be influential in brokering aligned approaches across a diverse range of external partners.
- Provide guidance for key messaging in external communications to amplify TI-UK’s policy recommendations, with e.g. media statements, op eds, blogs, speeches, advocacy briefings, consultation submissions.
- Design and deliver advocacy projects across multiple grants and thematic areas (dirty money and political integrity), devising and planning advocacy activities. The role will liaise with relevant team experts for input and sign off on advocacy plans and activities.
- Oversee the team’s monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) impact development and processes, and may be asked to contribute to donor reporting and fundraising (especially with regard to impact metrics).

- Substantial experience leading advocacy strategy and engagement in Westminster
- Experience of successfully engaging senior political stakeholders, including members of the Shadow Cabinet, Select Committee Chairs, political advisers and senior backbenchers in the House of Commons and House of Lords
- Significant experience working in coalition with All-Party Parliamentary Groups and/or other informal networks in Parliament
- Technical expertise relating to the passage of primary legislation through Parliament
- Experience campaigning for, and securing, legislative or regulatory Change
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities/deadlines
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communications skills, being able to communicate to a variety of audiences and at different levels.

About the role
Reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations, the role of Senior Officer, Finance and Operations plays an important role in supporting the seamless functioning of both the HSI/UK and HSI/EU teams while also working closely with Finance, HR & IT colleagues in the US. Areas of focus include accounts payable and receivable, budgeting and monthly reporting, as well as providing wide-ranging operational support across a number of different areas including legal/contracts, HR and IT.
Key responsibilities
Financial Administration (30%)
- Accounts Payable: Create POs according to the A/P policy, ensure all invoices are correctly logged & submitted for payment, ensure timely payment of all invoices, review weekly report of unposted invoices and outstanding payments and take action as needed.
- Accounts Receivable: Ensure all donations are properly coded & documented.
- Expenses Reporting: Ensure timely submission of employee expenses and debit and credit card transactions.
- Review financial transactions monthly to ensure income and expenditure are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Provide monthly reporting to all budget holders in the UK and EU.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as needed.
Contracts Management (30%)
- Working with the UK and EU teams, oversee the creation, submission and signing of all supplier contracts.
- Work with the Office of General Counsel in the US to ensure each contract is compliant with organisational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a log showing stage of each document in the process.
Operational Support (40%)
- Be the first point of contact for operational queries to campaigns and fundraising teams in UK and EU
- Ensure timesheets are completed as part of the monthly payroll process.
- Manage the process of recruiting and onboarding new employees and offboarding leavers. Support provision of IT and equipment for UK and EU teams as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as needed.

Encompass is a local charity based in and covering North Northamptonshire. The charity supports those facing poverty, homelessness and addiction, through the delivery of multiple services including two homeless accommodations, a rehab and aftercare, multiple foodbanks and a soon to be opened day centre.

- Work with Trustees to review and set financial policies and practices, such as annual salary reviews, and adequate reporting to the Board.
- Oversee the fundraising of the charity, deliver primarily applications to Trusts and Foundations and the support of local individuals through donations.
- Work to deliver budgeted fundraising income.
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are in place, reviewed and monitored.
- Take responsibility for all health and safety across all properties, ranging from high need accommodation to storage facilities.
- To maintain and develop effective human resource systems for the recruitment, management, support, training, appraisal and development of staff and volunteers.

Director of Policy and Advocacy is a senior leadership role within Sustain, working across a range of policy, project and campaign areas. We are seeking a strong leader, with management experience and a keen interest in promoting solutions to many of the biggest challenges currently facing us: climate change, restoration of nature, and achieving a healthy, fair, diverse and sustainable system for food and farming. Leadership includes senior oversight:
- On ‘policy’, of the priorities, coherence and cross-fertilisation between our various projects and campaigns and the priorities identified by our alliance members, expert working parties and project/campaign leads.
- On ‘advocacy’, of Sustain’s range of approaches to achieving change – e.g. campaigning, partnership working, standards-setting as well as soft influence, at national and local level.
The Sustain alliance – members and colleagues – represent a rich source of expertise and well-proven, viable solutions to many of the challenges that face us. These need to be supported and replicated at scale, with barriers to adoption removed. It is the job of the Sustain alliance to cultivate the movement, win the policies and other support for solutions, and accelerate the process of change.
As a Director, you will have a key role in supporting the development of new and fundable areas of work, as well as contributing to organisational strategy and decision-making for Sustain. You will also hold strong people leadership skills, as the role oversees key teams at Sustain with five direct reports, and will support the delivery of our organisational plan.
Tasks and responsibilities
The Director of Policy and Advocacy for Sustain will have a varied and stimulating workload, working closely with the Chief Executive and in collaboration with Sustain’s senior management, project and campaign leads, project partners, Sustain alliance members and associates, and strategic funders. The postholder will provide strategic leadership on a range of policy, campaign, influencing and communications matters relating to advocacy for healthy and sustainable food and farming. The work will include:
Policy, advocacy and campaign development
- Creating an advocacy strategy for Sustain, working with colleagues and members, and building productive relationships with key audiences and partners, including an annual programme of activities and events.
- Leading on publishing policy reports, evidence submissions, statements and press releases, and overseeing those generated by Sustain colleagues and/or wider alliance activities.
- Overseeing key policy, advocacy and campaign themes, to ensure these are pursued effectively and prioritised within advocacy and campaign work, with line-management responsibilities in relation to relevant campaign coordinators and their teams.
- Providing everyday advisory and/or skills-building support or other opportunities for colleagues to develop their policy, influencing and communications work.
Stakeholder relationships
- Ensuring that members of the Sustain alliance are engaged in policy and advocacy and benefiting from the opportunities provided by their alliance membership.
- Building trusted relationships with a range of alliance members, government departments, elected representatives, project and campaign partners, journalists, media outlets, funders and opinion formers; and cultivating opportunities to work together to achieve positive change, including potential partnership initiatives.
Leadership in organisation management
- Working with the core team to ensure that this work is adequately resourced, and budgets are managed effectively, understanding and contributing to how this fits within Sustain’s overall financial management, resource use and fundraising needs.
- Developing compelling and impactful activities, evidence-gathering, partnerships and funding bids and feeding into development of impact reporting and theories of change.
- Leading on one or more operational priorities, working with the senior team and other key members of the staff team to ensure that tasks happen in a timely and effective way.
- Maintaining excellent financial records, contact databases and mailing lists, in line with good governance, data protection and accountability.
- Ensuring that monitoring, evaluation and learning is undertaken in relation to the campaigns and advocacy work, to help shape the way these develop, and to ensure that this informs reporting to funders and Sustain’s Council of Trustees, organisational learning and development of future activities.
Oversight on public communications
- Overseeing public communications in service of advocacy goals, working with expert project and campaign coordinators at Sustain. This will include representing the Sustain alliance externally – for example, with journalists, in the media, at high-level political opportunities such as giving oral evidence to parliamentary enquiries, chairing or speaking at panel events, organising roundtables or conferences, pitching or reporting to funders, etc.
- Overseeing the work of Sustain’s colleagues who lead on communications, social media, digital and design and parliament/public affairs to enable effective delivery of the policy and advocacy strategy.
- Editorial oversight and senior sign-off for Sustain’s political, campaigning and public communications activity, ensuring consistency of tone and approach and cultivating helpful cross-fertilisation of ideas and joined-up policy responses across the range of Sustain activities. Also ensuring that communications and public affairs activities serve and respect the alliance’s strategy, agreed tone, opportunities to influence, political impartiality, legal boundaries and our charitable objectives.

Collaboration is key, and you'll work alongside the Public Affairs Manager to implement public affairs and campaigns strategies throughout Wales. Additionally, you'll ensure alignment with NHS Wales and local authorities to effect meaningful change at Assembly level.
As a representative of the MND Association, you'll engage in meetings and media activities as required, advocating for our cause with professionalism and passion. You'll have the opportunity to establish partnerships with other charities and stakeholders to amplify our collective voice.
Your responsibilities will also include coordinating communication efforts, keeping both internal and external stakeholders informed about policy developments. What are we looking for?

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills along with the ability to establish positive relationships at all levels and influence outcomes is crucial for success within this role.

The Head of Advocacy and Policy will be responsible for developing an excellent Advice Service and Retention Team to support and advise students effectively to enable excellent student experience and satisfaction.
This role will lead on the development of effective insights, representation and support initiatives/campaigns for students, across our three campuses at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway.

- Ensure evaluation mechanism are embedded in the teams working practises and that findings are shared and used to implement learnings with the goal of improving services

Discovery, based in Somerset, is now becoming a strategic partner working with Cornwall Council to support people with a learning disability and autistic adults in Cornwall.
At first we will take responsibility for improving the way people are supported in a small number of existing residential care homes, with the prospect of supporting more people once we’ve demonstrated success.
The Operations Director is a member of Discovery’s senior team, with direct line management responsibilities for Locality Managers, many of whom will be Registered Managers with the Care Quality Commission. Whilst the position is home based, we expect that the Operations Director will regularly visit the people we support in their home. You’ll guide your team, focusing on ways to improve quality and practice. In addition, you’ll be expected to work closely with the Business Development team to assess opportunities to support more people within the county, including those currently supported Out of Area. Position
You’ll be the junior member of ShareAction’s four-person media team, reporting into the Senior Media Manager. You might have a couple of years’ experience working in a press office, agency or as a journalist and a track record of securing positive coverage. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, developing and implementing media activity to maximise awareness of our priority messages and hard-hitting research among target audiences. • experience of supporting vulnerable people in crisis or preventing crisis with a range of issues including finances, debt, housing, managing change, accessing rights and entitlements
• ability to work using own initiative, prioritising work, case management and time management.
• ability to adapt communication depending on the needs of the person
• excellent IT skills including using Microsoft Office packages
• ability to work independently and as part of a team
• As part of your professional development in the role, the successful candidate will be supported to complete their Level 2, or Level 4, Advocacy qualification as appropriate.
