In the first instance, the post-holder will deliver on a specific research programme supported by the Thomas Pocklington Trust as part of a very busy and fast paced research directorate. Secondly, the post-holder will support the lead Scientist to deliver on the early stages of a well-being research programme. This position is initially funded for 18 months. The ideal candidate will have with proven experience in designing and running systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and qualitative interview research in social sciences and/or allied subjects. You will have professional experience of conducting research independently and to deadlines, including writing ethics proposals, recruiting participants, collecting data, using a range of analysis techniques and producing scientific reports.

The role will involve working directly from a GP surgery, delivering the Active Monitoring service. We’re looking for a Senior Designer to help us develop, lead and deliver high quality, impactful design and social innovation projects – including within our Regenerative Futures, Future of Work and Student Design Awards (SDA) programmes.
You’ll show empathy and passion to the RSA’s mission and be able to demonstrate an interest in social/environmental impact-focused projects and challenges. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation, bringing strong expertise in participatory and multidisciplinary design approaches and methods to a diverse range of external projects. In addition, you will support the strategic development of RSA programmes and our Living Change Approach, and build capabilities in design thinking and innovation practices among our community of changemakers.
You will have the ability to work flexibly within a busy and supportive team environment and be willing to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to establish strong relationships with colleagues and partners.
