The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager, confident in relationship management and in evaluation and monitoring, with a strong understanding of the free legal advice sector in London.

The Florence Nightingale Foundation exists to support nurses, midwives and other health and care professionals to become the leaders, innovators and change-makers our communities need. Through their leadership development programmes, they help individuals and organisations create lasting improvements in health and care.

They are now seeking an experienced Interim Senior Programme Manager to provide operational leadership during a period of transition. This is an opportunity for an accomplished programme delivery professional to step into a well-established portfolio, provide stability and momentum, and ensure their leadership programmes continue to deliver an exceptional experience for participants and stakeholders.

About the role

This is a pivotal interim appointment, reporting directly to the Director of Academy and leading a team of experienced programme professionals.

You'll quickly take ownership of a complex and active programme portfolio, overseeing the operational delivery of leadership development programmes from enrolment and participant communications through to facilitator coordination, venue management and programme completion.

You will be responsible for providing confidence, direction and support to the team, ensuring delivery remains on track, risks are proactively managed and standards remain consistently high.

Alongside day-to-day operations, you'll maintain oversight of programme finances, support proposal development for new commissioned work, strengthen systems and processes, and ensure comprehensive documentation is in place to support a smooth transition to the permanent postholder.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong operational leadership with excellent people management skills.

You will bring substantial experience of managing complex programmes, events or learning portfolios, with the ability to quickly understand moving parts, establish priorities and create clarity in environments where momentum is critical.

You'll be a calm and reassuring leader who can support and motivate teams through change while maintaining a sharp focus on delivery, quality and stakeholder experience.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Significant experience managing complex programme or event operations across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Strong budget management and cost-control experience
• A track record of quickly taking ownership of live programme portfolios and delivering results
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience developing and documenting systems, processes and standard operating procedures
• Confidence using programme management tools, databases and CRM systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-focused under pressure

Experience within leadership development, education, healthcare, NHS-related environments or the charity sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Big Change Programme is transforming the way Centrepoint works. Through new systems, improved processes and modern digital ways of working, we're building a more efficient organisation that allows our colleagues to spend more time focusing on what matters most - supporting young people.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week in the office. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g. two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts, this will be adjusted accordingly.

About you

You'll be an experienced programme leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale organisational transformation and complex change programmes. You'll thrive in fast-paced environments, be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and know how to bring people together around a shared vision.

You'll have:

• Significant experience leading complex business transformation or digital change programmes.
• A recognised project or programme management qualification (such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent).
• Experience managing multiple workstreams, budgets, risks and programme governance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, external partners and suppliers.
• Experience implementing organisational change that improves systems, processes and ways of working.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging updates for a range of audiences.
• A collaborative leadership style and a passion for continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

As Senior Programme Manager, you'll provide strategic leadership for Centrepoint's Big Change Programme, ensuring projects remain aligned to organisational priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.

You'll:

• Lead the planning, delivery and governance of a complex portfolio of transformation projects.
• Manage the programme budget, timeline, risks and resource planning. Ensure there is an appropriate structure for overseeing individual project management of budget and delivery to time.
• Develop and maintain programme reporting for senior leadership, trustees and governance boards.
• Drive high-quality programme management standards, ensuring appropriate controls, business cases and change management processes are in place.
• Work closely with project managers, suppliers and technology partners to deliver successful system implementations.
• Build strong relationships across Centrepoint, ensuring colleagues are engaged and supported throughout change.
• Help shape future digital and organisational transformation, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Champion collaboration, learning and best practice across project delivery.
• Ensure the BCP is connected to wider change initiatives across Centrepoint.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Advice programme. As our Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that provide high-quality information and advice services to respond to the changing needs of our community.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.

Alongside this, the programme works with local health boards to run initiatives designed to improve access to health services, such as HIV testing, sexual health and family planning advice and Chagas disease testing. You will also oversee IRMO’s Community Support service, which manages community enquiries daily at our Brixton centre and through our helpline, provides emergency crisis support and coordinates our Community Interpreting service, as well as connects service users with internal or external support.

These initiatives support people facing difficulties and help them build the skills and confidence to navigate complex systems. All of our work is shaped by the views of our beneficiaries, keeping our services relevant and responsive.

As Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll lead the strategic development of the Advice programme, ensuring our work is high-quality, impactful and responsive to the needs of our community. You’ll help grow the programme by strengthening existing partnerships and developing new ones.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring solid experience as both a project and line manager, with a track record of overseeing multiple initiatives, delivering against KPIs and communicating impact clearly. You’ll be confident in managing people and priorities, with a leadership style that brings out the best in your team.

You’ll also have a strong understanding of the barriers Latin Americans face in accessing immigration, welfare, housing, health and other essential services in the UK, and a genuine passion for advancing the rights and welfare of migrants and refugees.

The Senior Seafood Program Manager works closely with our funder and implementation partner,

Humanity United, acting as a strategic thought partner to advance our shared goals. The role will hold overall responsibility for management of the portf

olio including program and strategy development, budgeting, monitoring and reporting and grant-making.

The role holder will represent the Freedom Fund at high level sectoral events; engaging with a wide range of stakeholders related to the program, building connections that advance our shared priorities.

This role is a fixed term contract, aligned to our next phase of funding partnership with Humanity United for the Asia Pacific seafood program.  The position is expected to commence in September 2026 and continue through to December 2028, with the possibility of an extension.
