Job Title: Volunteer Co-ordinator – Sanctuary Citadel 
Hours: 35 hours

The role of the Volunteer Co-ordinator is to lead the Sanctuary Citadel project in Cardiff and Newport. This will be at a key time for the project - adapting and expanding from an existing Citadel volunteer model to support Newly Granted Refugee’s transition from Home Office Accommodation or alternative accommodation into permanent homes.

Working with the Sanctuary Manager and a team of volunteers, you will ensure this support is upheld to a high standard. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to facilitate this, including recruitment and training of volunteers. Maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure project coherence and impact, and promote awareness of the project and its impact within the community.

However, it’s not all fun and games, keeping things on point means meticulously recording info and data about our programme participants, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey aligns perfectly with our funding contracts and has maximum impact for everyone involved.

Main Duties

This role is responsible for leading a team, developing the counselling offer and contributing to systems change within the UK through social policy and research.

• Leading and managing a team of counsellors, promoting reflection, wellbeing and innovation within the service

We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.

Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.

This role is responsible for:

• Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
• Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
• Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
• Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary

Job Summary 

Working with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role supports high-value corporate partnerships through engagement, stewardship, and identifying new opportunities aligned with the charity’s goals. This newly established role in the income team reflects the growth of MHI’s partnerships and offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious corporate fundraiser with a passion for digital mental health. MHI is at a pivotal point in its development, having experienced significant growth since launching in 2017. Over the past 18 months, a primary focus has been on cultivating several major partners to support our core services (Shout and The Mix) and the development of three new digital mental health products. We are now looking to focus on these key partners, while expanding our portfolio of new opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement
• Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to steward and engage partners and prospects, including thought leadership, communications, events, volunteering and fundraising activities
• Support with business development, utilising Salesforce, Pearlfinders and LinkedIn to identify and track opportunities

Person Specification

Essential

• 3+ years working with corporate partners, including building at least one new large corporate partnership
• 3+ years experience of working on community fundraising projects with the charity or through a corporate partner
• Experience of being highly organised, managing multifaceted partnerships in a charity setting, covering multiple projects and teams, and including reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with varying audiences, including corporate partners
• A strong interest in mental health and in data and technology, and an understanding of corporate partnership opportunities for the sector

Desirable

• Experience of using Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
• Experience of both face to face and virtual stakeholder meetings with high value corporate funders

The Resource Futures Education Team has worked over the past 17 years in developing and delivering high quality Education for Sustainable Development programmes, specialising in waste issues.

Your role will be part of the education team in Devon who enable schools and young people to develop more sustainable practices and lifestyles, specifically within the areas of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting. 

Our ideal candidate will live in or around the East Devon / Exeter / Teignbridge area, where the majority of delivery will take place, with some home working. For the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to expand the number of hours you deliver on a short-term basis, dependent on funding opportunities.

What you will be doing

· Develop and deliver high quality education programmes in schools on the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle - and composting, to include: 

o Leading workshops, assemblies and waste audits.

o Advising school staff (including senior staff, cleaners, caretakers, kitchen staff and other non-teaching staff) on educational and practical waste issues. 

o Support or lead school visits to waste management facilities such as recycling centres and energy from waste (EfW) plants. 

· Recruit schools to the programme and ensure bookings, administration and preparation are undertaken to a high standard. 

· Develop new learning and teaching materials to support the programme, including physical and e-resources. 

· Create and maintain effective relationships with Devon County Council, district councils and other relevant organisations. 

· Assist schools in the practicalities of setting up and maintaining their recycling and composting systems, in liaison with district councils. 

· Work in partnership with Devon County Council to run events, competitions and teacher training courses. 

· Develop effective and supportive relationships with primary, secondary and special schools across the Devon area. 

· Keep accurate records of work, including data on schools visited and waste audit results. 

· Monitor and evaluate the programme, including contribution towards the written annual report. 

· Liaise with other Resource Futures colleagues on project tasks, such as publicity and promotion.

You’ll join our International Energy Access team, primarily working on the multimillion-pound Efficiency for Access Coalition including the Low Energy Inclusive Appliances (LEIA) programme that aims to double the efficiency and halve the cost of off- and weak-grid appliances in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. This programme is funded by UK aid, from the UK government via the Transforming Energy Access platform, and IKEA Foundation, and delivered by Energy Saving Trust in partnership with CLASP.
