Summary
The National Safeguarding Team provides professional safeguarding advice to the Church of England on matters of national policy as part of its wider transformation plan, which includes the development and implementation of national policy, training, quality assurance and audit, and work with survivors. The national safeguarding team also leads complex casework and supports dioceses in their safeguarding of children and adults.
An investigation by the Independent Inquiry Child Sexual Abuse conducted in 2019 has highlighted some areas for improvement in the Church of England Safeguarding Structure and Practices. This investigation reviewed the extent to which the Church of England and the Church in Wales protected children from sexual abuse in the past. It also examined the effectiveness of current safeguarding arrangements. A public hearing on these specific areas was held in 2019. The report, published in 2020, also drew on the previous two case studies on the Anglican Church, which related to the Diocese of Chichester and Peter Ball. In addition to recommendations made in the case studies, IICSA made eight recommendations in this report, covering areas such as clergy discipline, information-sharing and support for victims and survivors.
The Redress Scheme project is part of the Church of England's Safeguarding Programme, which aims to embed structure, quality assurance and continuous improvement in line with its Safeguarding principles. Following the Church of England's recently approval of a comprehensive redress scheme for survivors of Church-related abuse, the project is now moving into the implementation phase, and we are looking for a new member of the team to help us prepare for the opening the Scheme.
The role will work with multiple NCI departments involving, for example, HR & Payroll, Finance & Resources, Legal, among many others as well as Safeguarding Bishops and Safeguarding teams of the Church of England in support to the mission of the Church of England and this Programme's in particular, as well as external stakeholders, including the media.
To assist this project, there is a requirement for a Comms & Engagement Manager role to be performed by a specialist with relevant experience and expertise. The role will be primarily focused on communications and media, with an emphasis on working under public scrutiny.
The purpose of this role is to lead on influencing and enabling effective communications relationships at national level to effectively roll out the delivery of the Redress Scheme, playing a key role in this high-profile project, and to act as a representative of the organisation with a detailed knowledge of the project's history and objectives.
This role will work in partnership with the Church Relations Manager and the rest of the project team to ensure structured stakeholder engagement. The role will lead on communications for the Redress project by engaging with the key programme stakeholders, including victims and survivors, media and press, senior diocesan and cathedral officers and NCI staff, to:
- Campaign & communication management.
- Engagement with relevant external stakeholders (diocesan comms teams, safeguarding teams, Archbishops' Council, House of Bishops) at the most direct and senior level to gain access to necessary information and answer specific queries.
- 3+ years experience leading communications workstreams on complex, public facing programmes.
- This is fix-term contract till September 2026.
- Hybrid working at least1 days in the office (Church House, Westminster, London).
- A salary of £68,999 FTE Salary] per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

About the role
As Senior Business Analyst you will help Crisis transform its supporter experience by supporting the delivery of our data workstream enabling our transition to a new Modern Data Platform alongside our migration to Microsoft Dynamics.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working with data, mapping out data flows and processes. You’ll have working knowledge of data lakes and data warehouses as well as a good understanding of data governance and policies. You’ll have excellent communication skills and able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to fully understand and document requirements. You’ll have the ability to work quickly efficiently and methodically. You’ll be a team player confident in bringing your expertise to the wider project team. Ideally, you’ll have the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or a comparable qualification or experience.

What you’ll be doing
If you were working with us, you would be leading a team of six Employment Specialists, providing day-to-day direction, supervision, and practical guidance to ensure excellent IPS practice. You would offer regular one-to-one supervision, in-field mentoring, training, and caseload management support. Your leadership would help the team deliver consistent quality and outcomes across the service.
You would work closely with clinical team leads, contract commissioners, and health partners, maintaining strong and positive relationships to support collaborative, client-led work. You would also contribute to improving performance by identifying challenges, supporting solutions, and modelling excellent IPS practice.
Data analysis and monthly reporting would form part of your responsibilities, ensuring that performance information is accurate, meaningful, and useful. You would work alongside the Operations Manager to monitor progress, address areas for improvement, and maintain high IPS fidelity. While the Operations Manager leads on quarterly reporting, your support and insight would be essential.
Although this is a busy and varied role, you would not be working alone. You would be supported by the Operations Manager and the wider Head Office team, with access to training, guidance, and practical help to enable you and your team to succeed.
What you’ll need
You do not need previous team management experience. Instead, we are looking for:

About the role:
We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that works flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. Our growing portfolio includes flagship projects tackling challenges such as inclusive EV charging infrastructure, complex community transport needs, and large-scale research like the National Centre for Accessible Transport.
We are now recruiting for three Transport Solutions Managers, one permanent position and two 24 month fixed-term contracts. These roles will lead the design and delivery of high-impact work focused primarily on accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging – a key priority for the Foundation. This is a pivotal role that combines technical understanding, programme delivery, and stakeholder leadership, and is designed to work flexibly across our matrix structure.
While your core focus will be on EV charging, you also may be expected to lead and/or contribute to other transport projects across the transport themes.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, purpose-led team driving change in the transport system for disabled people, and to work on some of the most complex and impactful projects in the sector.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the design and delivery of accessible EV charging initiatives, working closely with Programme Directors and partners across government, industry and the charity sector.
- Scope, commission and manage projects related to EV charging – such as pilots, commercial partnerships, research studies or funding opportunities – ensuring alignment to strategic priorities.
- Bring technical and market understanding of EV charging (e.g. standards, installation, interoperability, user experience, accessibility requirements) to shape the Foundation’s approach in this space.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of specific initiatives, including planning, budgeting, due diligence, contracting, risk management, and governance reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Sub-Granting Operations and Process Management

Manage the full lifecycle of sub-grants, from the ‘request for proposal’ stage through to Chapter, or partner selection and contracting, reporting and closure.

About the Role
The Deputy Manager plays a key role in the leadership of Wayside Community, supporting the Women’s Homelessness Lead in the day-to-day running and development of the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Women’s Homelessness Lead in Surrey in ensuring the smooth daily running of the Service at all times and deputising in her absence for all matters relating to the management of the Service.
- Ensure that Wayside Community complies with all statutory regulations relating to supported housing, health and safety, fire precautions etc.
- Working with the Women’s Homelessness Lead to develop performance targets and quality control measures for the benefit of the team, and monitoring team members’ work to ensure that these are met.
- In conjunction with the Women’s Homelessness Lead ensure that effective assessments and action plans are updated for all residents through a key worker system and on case files.
- In conjunction with the Women’s Homelessness Lead ensure that all safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints are managed robustly.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, grow their philanthropy programme and increase engagement and impact.
Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Foundations, this role will work as part of a small but high department to deliver objectives and income targets. The role will deputise for the Head of Trusts and Foundations as required and support in the development of the strategy for the department, working across the organisation with colleagues, senior staff, trustees and external trusts and foundation contacts. A key focus of the role will be making bids and writing applications to maximise financial support from charitable trusts and foundations in a team which has a target of £1.15m in 2025-26, growing to £2.1m by 2029-30.
The ideal candidates will have a substantial background in Trusts and Foundation fundraising within the charity sector and experience of delivering excellent stewardship with external stakeholders. You will have experience of large scale and complex (£ six/seven figure) bid writing for specific projects over multiple years. Excellent and persuasive writing skills and a sharp eye for details will be essential alongside strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. You will be approachable, with a ‘hands-on’ approach and a flexible ‘can do’ proactive attitude and, importantly, you will have a commitment to understand the needs of Deaf People and a commitment to our values and culture.

- Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns to recruit participants and enhance supporter journeys.
- Manage six-figure income and expenditure budgets, ensuring events are delivered efficiently and within financial targets.
- Build and nurture relationships with suppliers, sponsors, volunteers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Provide strategic direction and identify opportunities to increase net income and event reach.
- Collaborate with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and senior leadership to report on performance and share insights.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, insurance, and legal regulations throughout the event cycle.
- Represent the charity at key events, engaging with participants and supporters to strengthen relationships and build loyalty.
- Support the development of new fundraising initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the events programme.
Ideal candidate profile:
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale fundraising events or campaigns.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging supporters and suppliers.
- Financially literate with experience managing significant budgets.
- Proficient in event management tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Creative, proactive, and solutions-focused with a collaborative approach to team working.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas, including working outside core hours and weekends.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Passionate about making a social impact and empathetic to the charity’s mission.
Location: Central London
Salary: £45,760
Working hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Working pattern: Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
