MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The main responsibility of this role is to assist the Head of Resources in the efficient and smooth running of financial functional activities of the charity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Kinship is in our third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We are looking for a new Associate Director of Peer Support and Community to build and develop our model and to take the team to the next phase of growth and impact.
Your first priority will be to oversee delivery of the Department for Education national Peer Support Service contract in England. You will lead the development of our hub and spoke model, with an enhanced offer of national resources and support together with a continued focus on on-the-ground support for kinship carers to set up and sustain a network of peer support groups. Your team will ensure that every kinship carer in England and Wales has access to a peer support group, or support to set up and create their own. About the Role
As the Supporter Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engagement strategies to cultivate relationships with our valued Christian* supporters. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will lead initiatives to increase prayer, giving, and church engagement, aligning with our broader objectives. You will manage our Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of our supporter-centric initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supporter engagement strategy to bolster our supporter base and enhance engagement levels.
- Curate a tailored stewardship journey for major donors and legacy pledges, providing personalised communications and resources to foster continued support.
- Oversee the management of our supporter database/CRM, ensuring compliance with GDPR and all relevant legislation.
- Utilise data analytics to design targeted campaigns and initiatives aimed at expanding our supporter network across various channels and touchpoints.
- Lead church engagement efforts, forging and nurturing connections with local and national churches and networks.
- Collaborate with our Activities and Community Engagement (ACE) Facilitators to enhance engagement within our care homes and housing schemes.
- Drive regular prayer communications, fostering a culture of prayer support through various platforms including our online Prayer Wall.
- Organise and lead supporter-facing events such as exhibitions and conferences to facilitate meaningful interactions with existing and prospective supporters.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and share insights with internal teams to inform strategic decision-making.
About You
- Minimum of three years of experience in the charity or third sector.
- Proven track record in supporter engagement and database management.
- Good understanding of UK GDPR regulations.
- Familiarity with fundraising functions and project management.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. The Services Manager will be the key operational lead for the Alliance, and oversee successful delivery of housing casework services to young people fleeing violence and exploitation who are referred in. You should have experience of working in services that support young people fleeing violence or who are impacted by the criminal justice system, and have a solid understanding of housing options for young people under 25. You should be exceptionally well organised and have excellent partnership management skills.
Salary: £37,024 - £41,600

About the position
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong belief in the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in helping to build high performing teams within the international anti-slavery sector. You will be leading a small HR team and will be responsible for developing and delivering an effective HR strategy across the global organisation. You will also be highly skilled at prioritising and managing multiple activities, with great attention to detail. You will be based in the Freedom Fund’s central London office and be working to support staff across the UK, the US, Brazil, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nepal, Liberia, Nigeria, Myanmar and Indonesia – and other countries as and when our programmatic footprint grows further. The Freedom Fund currently has 47 staff based in the London office and 36 staff in our other global locations. Outside of the UK, our biggest teams are based in the US (11), Ethiopia (8) and Brazil (6).
Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver an HR strategy in collaboration with SLT that supports the organisation to deliver on its overall strategy as well as its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion vision and action plan.
• Monitor staff engagement and retention (including through an annual staff survey) and work with managers to continuously improve the Freedom Fund as a place to work.
• Provide HR analytics and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
• Provide high quality and timely HR advice and support to managers and staff globally.
• Keep up to date with employment legislation and best practice in the countries where Freedom Fund operates
• Work with the Managing Director of Finance and Administration and the Employer of Record in relevant jurisdictions to ensure legal compliance in all HR activities globally.
• Maintain and update the Staff Handbooks for the global staff team, ensuring that HR policies and procedures are well understood and adhered to across all jurisdictions.
• Lead on all performance management issues - including probationary and annual reviews, and employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases.
• Facilitate periodic benchmarking reviews of global remuneration and benefits, in line with the organisation’s pay policy.
• Manage the Employment Pathways Program alongside an external organisation to provide internships for those with lived experience of human trafficking and/or forced labour
• Manage the relationship and act as day-to-day point of contact for our Employers of Record globally and external payroll services in the UK, including ensuring that payroll changes are communicated and invoices are reviewed and submitted for payment in accordance with agreed timetables
• Ensure appropriate induction and learning and development programs and in place and embedded throughout the organisation
• Line manage the Operations Officer
• Oversee global recruitment, ensuring fair, safe and compliant recruitment practices that particularly encourages and supports applicants with lived experience of human trafficking and/or forced labour.

Qualifications and experience
