NHS Providers' Development programmes team delivered a range of training and development activities for NHS boards and foundation trust governors. The team delivers over 200 events annually. The role postholder will provide administrative support to the Race equality and Health inequalities programmes. About the role:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.
• We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.
• The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:
• To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
• To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
• To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values throughout the Herts Haven Cafe Service.
• To play a key part in the development and delivery of quality CYP mental health support services.

Young People’s Senior Peer Research Coordinator - Haringey

Are you passionate about working with young people?  Do you have experience of project management, involvement and research methods and helping others to do research?

If yes, we have the ideal job for you. We are working in partnership with the Peace Alliance in Haringey as part of the Peer Action Collective to develop solutions with young people to address youth violence. The work is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund.

Working with young people aged 10-20, as well as local secondary schools and colleges, the project will carry out peer research and develop social action projects.

The person in this role will be excellent at co-ordinating multiple projects and groups, with strong project management skills and will be a core part of our delivery team.  You will also get the opportunity to work on other young people’s involvement projects at McPin.

The post is full time and will suit someone who would like some flexibility in working hours, as there will be evening, weekend work plus school holiday activities, including Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-7 pm at Tottenham Town Hall. About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to lead on the day-to-day coordination and development of Women and Girls Network (WGN) Training department. We are looking for someone who is able to support and contribute to the Training teams’ development and facilitation of innovative, survivor centred and trauma-informed training programmes for professionals supporting survivors. 

About you

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of coordinating similar services as well as working to support a multidisciplinary staff team. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the issues facing women and girls affected by violence against women and girls (VAWG) in the context of their lives, safeguarding, support services and policy, and be able to work from an intersectional framework.

Are you a great storyteller with excellent writing skills? Do you have experience in media relations, developing relationships with journalists to secure positive media coverage? Are you passionate about gender, racial and social justice issues? Then this might just be the job for you! 

This is a new role at Wen, with a focus on building Wen's in-house media relations and story gathering capacity while also getting involved in all areas of communications, particularly social media. To help you settle into the role and support your development you will receive mentoring from a PR consultant. 

Part of your role will be visiting Wen's projects and events to gather content, impact stories and case studies for use in the media and on our social media channels. It will also include leading on social media day-to-day, including at Wen events, so you will need experience of running multiple social media channels efficiently.

You will have an interest in Wen’s areas of work and have an understanding of gender, racial and social justice issues at a personal and political level. You will take an inclusive, intersectional feminist and anti-racist approach to your work. This will be vital for engaging on social media and creating stories and content aligned with Wen's values.

Key information

Salary - £35,284 FTE per annum, pro rata (Grade 3)

Contract - 4 days/28 hours per week, Permanent. Tuesday is a core working day for the majority of Wen staff. 

Location - Hybrid working -  One day a week at Wen office in Shoreditch and/or at Wen's local hub in Mile End, London, more in-person days required on an ad-hoc basis. Occasional travel may be required.

Key tasks

Strategic Communication: You will work with the Head of Communications and Engagement to deliver Wen’s Communications Strategy.

Content Creation:  You will actively look for new content ideas and opportunities to collaborate with like-minded individuals/organisations. You will write compelling content, including press releases, articles, blogs and impact stories.​

Media Relations: You will build Wen's in-house media relations capacity, to include developing and delivering media plans, cultivating relationships with journalists and securing positive media coverage in national, local and sector media. You will also brief Wen spokespeople for media opportunities and interviews. 

Social Media: You will lead on the development of a social media strategy, plan and calendar, scheduling organic and paid content and campaigns. You will run Wen's social media channels , engaging with other accounts, communicating Wen’s position on relevant issues.

Digital Comms: You will support Wen's digital communications, including creating content for Wen's website and e-newsletter and help maintain and update Wen's CRM system. 

This job is for you if:

• You have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.

• You have experience working in media relations and/ or social media management.

• You have demonstrable experience developing relationships with journalists and devising and implementing media plans, to secure media coverage.

• You have experience running social media channels for an organisation or individual, able to respond to comments and proactively engage on relevant posts. 

• You are able to write social media content, press releases, blogs, articles and case studies, translating complex themes into accessible content. 

• You can analyse and evaluate communication performance and metrics.

• You have experience or a commitment to taking an inclusive, intersectional feminist approach to communications.
