About the role
Working alongside our current services teams you will help shape and deliver activity, peer support and self-management services for people living with arthritis in your region as part of our CWTCH Cymru Project.
You will be responsible for building strong, positive relationships with our valued and respected volunteers, branches and groups and the wider community, including the voluntary and statutory sector.
You will work closely with wider teams to identify, recruit, train and support volunteers who have lived experience of arthritis. You will explore all conventional and more innovative routes for volunteer recruitment so that we can build trained and sustainable volunteer teams who can make a lasting impact on the lives of people with arthritis in their area.
Due to the nature of our services, some evening and weekend working may be required.
Key requirements
Our ideal candidate will be someone who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can lead and motivate people and has:
- Experience of recruiting, training, supervising and supporting volunteers with long-term health conditions.
- An understanding of peer support and self-management concepts.
- Proven experience in developing and managing relationships with diverse communities.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to structure their days and manage competing priorities.

- This is a home-based, part-time position working across the region and will involve significant travel which requires access to transport. At times, there may also be additional travel for team meetings and to cover for other Service Coordinators.

Our Bereavement Support Services team provides a wide range of services, including the Freephone Helpline, Online Community, Social Media support, a Bereavement Support App, memory making resources, and print materials.

About the role
We're now looking for a School and Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator to support volunteers to become school governors across the Midlands, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. You'll join our North team and be supported by experienced professionals to help you thrive in the role.

A new and exciting opportunity has risen for an Early Service Leaver Co-ordinator Leaver to join the RFEA at an exciting time as the company is rapidly growing and expanding its endeavours.
The successful candidate will be required to promote and influence the benefits of engagement with CTP Future Horizons (FH) to (Early Service Leavers) ESLs in Scotland, raise awareness of the CTP FH programme provision amongst the military units in Scotland, and co-ordinate and support ESLs to register with CTP FH, DTS, and organisations who can address immediate barriers to employment. This role is home/office based with local and regional travel. Early Service Leaver Co-Ordinator Scotland will spend a considerable amount of time visiting military units and engaging with ESLs.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Encourage and promote the benefits of registering with the CTP FH to ESLs, raising the number of registrations and continued engagement post discharge.
- Deliver the CTP FH presentation to all ESLs who are discharging from the services, by face-to-face or remote when unable to be on-site.
- Develop a social media presence to raise awareness of the programme, its opportunities, and success stories.
- Develop a strong relationship and work in collaboration with the regional CTP FH Employment Advisor Community, ensuring that information is shared accurately and appropriately to support the ESL.

This is an important role in Family Action. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can support volunteer recruitment within SSAFA. The post holder will be part of the Volunteer Development Team and support with all activities relating to volunteering recruitment and promotion of good practice, with particular emphasis on managing vacancies through on-line recruitment sites.
There is an opportunity to work across multiple departments in SSAFA and alongside all the VDMs across the UK gaining experience of managing multiple recruitment platforms and developing best practise guides which can be used to upskill our volunteers.

The Volunteer Development Team supports SSAFA branches to recruit volunteers, grow local and regional volunteering and promote best practice. About the team
The Volunteer Development Management team is a skilled and friendly team who are passionate about the value of volunteering. The team works across the Volunteer Operations directorate and has close working relationships with the Regional Operations Support Managers, Regional Fundraising Officers, Learning and Development teams, PR and Marketing teams and crucially, the Volunteer Experience team – all working together to improve the experience and capabilities of our volunteer network for the good of our beneficiaries.
The Volunteer Development Team were developed as part of SSAFA’s investment in volunteering. The team consists of six Volunteer Development Managers, a Volunteer Development Coordinator in a support role and a Volunteer Development Team Leader.
About you
Being an advocate for volunteering is key to success in this role as you will be heavily involved with the volunteer lifecycle, where previous experience is ideal but not necessary. As well as this you will be based at home so an ability to work comfortably at home whilst being a confident user of IT is a must. This will be a varied role so excellent organisation skills, own workload management with accurate administration are essential particularly in relation to written communications. A range of relationships will need to be built externally and internally, hence, demonstrable interpersonal skills will be required.
Your passion for volunteering must be demonstrable with a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion to be an advocate in this area across the volunteer network.

Job Title: Parents in Mind Peer Support Co-ordinator
Salary: £22,000 FTE
Hours: 28 hours per week
Fixed term contract until 28th June 2024
We are looking for a talented individual to join the brand new NCT Parents in Mind East Sussex team, coordinating the delivery of the perinatal mental health peer support across the area – initially until the end of June 2024, but with the possibility of extension, subject to funding. This role is home-based but will include regular meetings (sometimes at short notice) across East Sussex – specifically the Hastings, Eastbourne, Newhaven areas - so the ability to travel and a flexible approach to working are essential. The post will be for 28 hours per week.
The post holder will use their excellent listening skills, sensitivity and empathy to refer service users into the peer support service, making sure we are the right fit for their needs, and if so, matching them with our fabulous team of volunteer peer supporters. The project co-ordinator will also monitor and take feedback on the experiences of the clients in our care, and support those who feel they need additional/alternative support into other local services.
You must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to quickly create rapport with volunteers, service users, NCT practitioners and a range of staff from local services. An understanding of mental health support is also essential to the post. This is a complex project, so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently. The post holder will be an ambassador for the service across the locality, so outstanding relationship building skills are vital. Good IT skills will also be required – including use of Outlook, Word and Excel. Ideally you will also have the skills to be able to engage with parents via social media.
It is essential for this post that you are, or undertake the training to become, a Parents in Mind peer supporter. This training requires lived experience/close support of another who has experienced mental health difficulties during the transition to parenthood, and the accredited training would be undertaken in addition to your paid hours.

- To ensure the needs of stroke survivors and carers are identified and addressed throughout their stroke recovery (referral may be early on in the hospital or later in the community)
- To work collaboratively with a range of organisations, clinicians and other professionals to create meaningful networks, providing the best possible support throughout the stroke pathway and into the community
About You
You will have experience and have a proven record of:
- Ability to communicate effectively face to face, in writing, by email, on the telephone with stroke survivors and carers needs

The Remote Services Support Officer is ideal for someone who is super-organised and enjoys a varied workload.
As the successful candidate you’ll support the work of our Director of Clinical and Communities, Head of Remote services, and Helpline Managers. Main Responsibilities
- Working with the Northampton District team, Learning Network Team and the associated Young and Emerging Leaders team to deliver the new programme.
- Work with the Mission Enabler to Identify and develop pathways for young and emerging leaders to develop in their leadership
- Facilitating the Promotion of the Scheme
- Generating promotional and news material for the district and other websites.
- Following up by telephone, and visits as necessary with those responding to the mailings and adverts.
- Encouraging and enabling the young people employed to speak in their local contexts.

- Assist the YAELS Team in planning the residential weekends.
- Assist the YAELS team in developing training, worship and other materials for the residential residential weekends.
- Aid the District Young and Emerging Leaders in developing worship and other materials for the presentation at the weekends.
- Assist the YAELS team in leading the residential weekends.
- Facilitate Relationship Building Between the Participants
- Assist the YAELS in managing a dedicated, closed Facebook group for the programme.
- Seed discussions, and encourage interaction through the Facebook group.
- Encourage social interaction and opportunities between District Young and Emerging Leaders of the present and previous years.
- General Administration
- Maintain a personal timesheet, to log hours and actions. This will be used to allow for the flexible working conditions expected.
