Your role

To lead on trust fundraising at SeeAbility and to grow and diversify trust and foundation income in line with SeeAbility’s aspirations.

Your responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of a trusts strategy, overseeing the whole trusts portfolio, to generate agreed annual targets for SeeAbility.
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, adopting a data-driven approach, keeping abreast of sector developments and making the business case for change where appropriate.
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing trusts, delivering first-class stewardship, making appropriate and timely applications to secure agreed annual budget and ensuring that all reporting is completed in line with guidelines.
• Focus on new business and lead on creative, inspiring and professional proposals to trust and statutory funders that operate within the charity’s values and ethical policy.
• Manage, support and mentor the Trusts Fundraiser to secure funds from trusts and statutory sources of income. To lead any further expansion of the trust team in the future if the opportunity arises.
• Implement the systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders that align with SeeAbility’s strategy and ethical policy.
• Work across the organisation to generate new and innovative ways to package up SeeAbility’s work to secure funding.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) are recruiting for an Expert by Experience Coordinator to join our supportive and growing team. The Expert by Experience Coordinator is a new role in our small dynamic charity. The postholder will work to ensure the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience of asylum and forced migration are integrated into the design and delivery of AFRIL services and policy work. This role involves facilitating communication, promoting co-production, and empowering individuals to share their expertise to improve services and guide policy priorities. 

The post involves coordinating our monthly Members Forum, and working with the core team to feed this into policy and service development, alongside thematic and sometimes practical support to our Allotment Steering Group, Rainbow Club Youth Council and Asylum Hotel Residents Forum. The postholder will develop the AFRIL ambassadors scheme, creating opportunities for former clients to continue to be involved in shaping AFRIL, and work with the Director to develop a governance level co-production structure as agreed with the Board of Trustees. 

We are looking for a good people person, able to engage and inspire others, who demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with a range of stakeholders and in particular AFRIL clients who come from a variety of backgrounds. • Destitution Support - a fortnightly Food Bank in partnership with St Peter’s Church providing food, food vouchers, toiletries, and other essentials, alongside a warm hub with free cafe, information and support. Small grants for essential items and cash payments for food in emergencies. Securing and distributing gifts in kind, e.g. winter coats, laptops and data. 

• Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment. 

• Immigration Project in partnership with Southwark Law Centre, providing free legal advice and representation to support people to regularise their immigration status.

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 16 staff. Impetus has an annual income of £10 million, which we are looking to grow to £12–£14 million within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships.

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant-making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also delivers a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono support for Impetus’s corporate partners.

In addition to our direct grants, we have several themed funds that support specific areas of our work, currently Connect and Engage, with plans to launch Skills and Attainment. About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Philanthropy Team as an interim Events Officer. The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who has a positive, can-do attitude, who enjoys working independently and as part of a team. ​

Impetus has a successful annual programme of fundraising and cultivation events including the Transforming Lives Dinner, the Impetus Triathlon and Impetus Future Party. We are looking for an Events Officer to support our programme of events, while also working creatively to innovate and improve our practices.​

Reporting to the Head of Events, the Events Officer is an integral part of the Impetus team, supporting our calendar of fundraising and engagement events.​

The Events Officer will be involved in all aspects of events management such liaising with venues and suppliers (catering, production, design), working with sponsors, event marketing, guest management and finance tracking. Key responsibilities

Event Delivery

• Work with the Head of Events and Events Manager on all Impetus’s major fundraising events, including the Transforming Lives Dinner, the Impetus Triathlon and the Impetus Futures Summer Party.
• Support our calendar of cultivation events such as the Pro Bono Breakfast and Philanthropy Breakfasts.
• Support research and planning of the annual events programme in line with the wider organisational strategy and objectives.

• Responsible for managing all guest RSVPs across events, keeping guestlists up to date and accurately tracking responses on our CRM system

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.   

We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.  Our work now includes specific programming for women refugees, Afghan nationals, Ukrainians and those who have come through the asylum system

We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations and Partnerships Manager to oversee the operational and partnership work of STEP which includes infrastructure and process, data and reporting as well as partnerships. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operational responsibility for UK Programmes ensuring processes are in place for a smooth running and high-quality programme. 
• Overseeing allocation of clients to the programme and their Employment Advisor 
• Managing the CRM data cleaning and reporting process and producing monthly and quarterly reporting data from the CRM
