Our mission is to break down barriers to integration and empower individuals to achieve equal citizenship through holistic support services.

As a Data Analyst you will play a key role in strengthening our evidence base and improving service delivery through robust data analysis and reporting. Your insights will directly inform strategic decisions, support funding bids, and help shape services that improve lives. You will work closely with operational teams to collect, cleanse, and interpret data that enhances our understanding of beneficiary needs and outcomes. This role is a chance to use your skills to make a lasting social impact.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Data Management and Analysis

· Collect, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources, conducting regular checks to identify and resolve gaps or inconsistencies

· Maintain and improve internal databases to ensure data accuracy and consistency

· Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement

· Contribute to the design and implementation of data collection processes for new projects

· Identify inefficiencies and compare service delivery against targets to support continuous improvement

· Supplement internal data with external sources for deeper insights

· Drive innovation by exploring new tools and automating reporting systems that improve efficiency and transparency

Reporting and Insight

· Prepare regular funder and management reports, including mixed-methods analysis

· Translate data into accessible insights for non-technical audiences.

· Support the Impact and Evaluation Manager in preparing for strategic planning

· Explore and assist with building a bespoke, automated social value tool

· Produce regular reports and automated dashboards for internal and external stakeholders

· Support the development of outcome frameworks and impact measurement tools

Collaboration and Support

· Work closely with caseworkers and project leads to ensure accurate and timely data entry

· Collaborate with external partners on joint data initiatives and shared reporting

· Establish monitoring for social policy data and provide insights to support partnership work and influence policy

· Promote a culture of data driven, evidence-based practice

·      Provide training and guidance to staff on data collection and reporting requirements and build capacity across teams by supporting data literacy and embedding data into everyday decision-making

Systems and Tools

· Use Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools to manage and visualise data

· Explore, source and support the integration of new digital tools and platforms to improve data workflows

· Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies

Training

· Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about sector trends and enhance personal skills

· Stay up to date with legal and policy changes relevant to the sector

· Keep accurate records of training attended and share learning with colleagues

· There is scope to further develop expertise in impact measurement, evaluation methodologies, and other monitoring skills as desired

Person Specification

Essential:

· Experience working with large datasets and producing analytical reports

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)

· Understanding of data protection and confidentiality principles

· Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-specialist audiences

· Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities within a multi-disciplinary team

· Experience in data research and using insights from a variety of external sources, such as government data, to support analysis

· Awareness of the opportunities and risks of using AI and data-driven technologies in the charity sector

· Commitment to RMC’s values of empowerment, inclusion, quality, and collaboration

Desirable:

· Experience in the charity or public sector, particularly with refugee and migrant communities

· Familiarity with case management systems and platforms

· Knowledge of impact measurement frameworks and evaluation methodologies

· Experience supporting training or capacity-building in data literacy

· Ability to work with qualitative data and contribute to mixed-methods research

· Understanding of social value and how it applies to service delivery and evaluation

· Awareness of the challenges and barriers faced by refugees and migrants in the UK

Flexibility

In order to deliver the stated aims of this post, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. This could include data, administrative and/or project support to other cross-organisational departments. Such duties will fall within the scope of the job within the appropriate pay grade. The job description will therefore be subject to periodic review with the post holder to ensure it accurately reflects the duties that are being performed.
