Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for Neurodivergent children, young people and families using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The post holder will use their skills to support children and young people who are referred in to or have self-referred in to the A for Autism Service. This service is a community based Pre and Post Autism Diagnostic Service. The successful candidate will receive Reflective Practice Supervision to support their professional development and ensure the safety of themselves and the people they work with, alongside Line Management Supervision.

Information about the Job Role

This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work schedule being both office based and community based, working mainly with 16 – 25 year old children, young people and their families, and delivering workshops and one to one support in a range of community based settings, and at CDI sites. Applicants must be willing to travel around Croydon as the service is community based. Occasional travel outside of Croydon may also arise to best meet the needs of those accessing the service. This role will include session, activity and resources design and delivery.

Purpose of job: | To work with the Finance and Fundraising teams to provide excellent finance, CRM & other systems administration. The Foundling Museum is transforming how digital systems underpin the foundations of this small but mighty Museum and charity. The position of Finance & CRM Administrator sits at the heart of this continued transition, following the successful implementation and migration to Shopify, Xero & Beacon CRM which began in 2023. 
This new role is essential to the success of the Finance & Fundraising teams, in providing effective finance and CRM administration support. The Finance and CRM Administrator will support income generation activities including fundraising and venue hire, as well as playing a vital role in keeping the Museum’s accounting systems working effectively. 
This includes processing all types of financial transactions on Xero and maintaining records on Beacon. You will work as a key part of both teams supporting the Museum’s strategy through the provision of high quality financial & other data, and the maintenance of the underlying systems.

Essential :

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces. 

As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally.  They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).  

For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
• Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
• Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
• Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites

About You

• Demonstrable experience in managing complex public open spaces.
• Comprehensive experience developing and delivering biodiversity and land management programmes and projects in a range of habitats, ideally within an urban setting.

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
• Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that ensures seriously ill children and their families receive the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. We also speak up to government leaders and decision-makers to help make sure families have access to the best support when they need it.

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Family Support Hub Officer to join us as maternity cover for 9 months. This role combines responsibility for grant administration and voucher processing with day-to-day family support hub tasks, including managing email inboxes and co-ordinating communications. The postholder will ensure that families receive timely information, compassionate support, and access to financial assistance, while helping the organisation meet funding obligations and maintain high-quality service delivery.

About the role

Summary

Working with the Philanthropy team, the Senior Philanthropy Manager – Trusts & Foundations will play a key role in driving new high-value relationships with Trusts & Foundations and raising six and seven figure income for our three charities: Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity, and Guy’s Cancer Charity. 

As a member of the Philanthropy team, this role will work with colleagues and the Head of Philanthropy to help shape and develop our new fundraising strategy. The Senior Philanthropy Manager – Trusts & Foundations will predominantly look after relationships with Trusts & Foundations, but there may be a small portfolio of Major Donors within the prospect pool, which may grow over time depending on the demands of the Philanthropy team. 

The role will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with trustees, influencers and staff of grant-giving organisations, leading on often complex, large-scale projects and solicitations. As well as sharing team responsibility for achieving ambitious annual income targets, as a senior member of staff, the Senior Philanthropy Manager – Trusts & Foundations will be expected to play a strategic role within the team, proactively leading on new initiatives, decision making and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Communication and networking 

• Write clear and compelling fundraising proposals to charitable Trusts and Foundations that have the capacity to make six- and seven-figure grants and donations. 
• Build effective, senior-level relationships with trustees, influencers and staff involved with charitable Trusts and Foundations, as appropriate meeting and liaising directly with funders as the ‘face’ of Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation, while also supporting senior staff, academics and clinicians to communicate with funders and work to a brief to achieve objectives. 
• Work with academics and clinicians where required/appropriate, to develop the strongest possible case for support for major projects, for use in presentations, proposals and reports to Trusts and Foundations. 
• Work with the key stakeholders to ensure an effective stewardship programme is in place for Trusts and Foundations donors, including reports, letters or other documents that may at times deal with complex, contentious and sensitive situations. 
• Act as a Trusts and Foundations specialist on behalf of Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation. 

Decision making, planning and problem solving 

• Identify a range of internal fundraising priorities that will engage the interest and charitable objectives of Trusts and Foundations. 
• Work with the Prospect Research team to build an ongoing pipeline of high-calibre, qualified prospects with the capacity to give significant support to priority projects. 
• Balance the coordination of a large number of complex relationships and fundraising projects with the ability to respond appropriately to new opportunities as they arise. 
• Prioritise effectively, balancing urgent vs. important calls on your time, and making decisions about how to use your resources to maximise income for the team. 
• Take a long-term planning approach to the Trusts and Foundations portfolio, mapping out donor development plans for key accounts, and developing a calendar of activity for the year ahead, taking into account key deadlines and interdependencies. 
• Make independent professional decisions and advise colleagues as appropriate. 

Service delivery 

• Generate annual income according to agreed targets – both individual and team. 
• Manage and implement the Trusts and Foundations programme, and work with colleagues and the Head of team to develop and implement strategy and plans. 
• Achieve KPIs as agreed with the Head of team, e.g. for meetings, pledged income. 
• Establish gift agreements with funders that meet both their and the Foundation’s needs. 
• Contribute proactively to team planning and performance monitoring, ensuring the programme is strategically focused to maximise its potential for sustainable growth.

Analysis and research 

• Contribute to team-wide evaluation of the Trusts and Foundations programme in order to inform annual planning and wider departmental strategy. 
• Ensure that donor details and communications relating to your portfolio are adequately stored on the database and run data analysis and modelling as required. 
• Benchmark activity with other relevant organisations and use statistical results and trends to support new activity. 
• Undertake research, and work effectively with the Prospect Research team, in order to inform prospect cultivation. 

Team work, teaching and learning support 

• Form and communicate a clear vision of what is to be achieved, sharing plans with other teams as appropriate. 
• Present at staff training and induction events as required. 
• Work with other high-value fundraising teams, as well as the Prospect Research team, to ensure a coordinated approach to prospects. 
• Positively promote the work of the Trusts and Foundations team, both internally and externally, and represent the team – and the wider organisation – at stewardship and cultivation events, as well as at sector conferences and meetings. 
• Assist with other campaigns and special projects as and when necessary. 
• Provide occasional cover for other colleagues within the team and wider department.

Working Environment:

The post holder should expect to: 

• Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.  
• Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.

We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. You will provide support by telephone, email and text, as well as supporting our skilled volunteers through their development and weekly shifts.

You will be critical in strategically driving our growth, improving practices and increasing efficiency, through guiding and supporting colleagues across the fundraising department. You will work particularly closely with the Major Donor, Trusts and Foundations and Corporate Teams to help grow pipelines and bring to the forefront the most exciting opportunities.

Job purpose

This role involves conducting debt-advice interview observations, reviewing case files, and identifying training needs for advisers. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Additionally, the role includes auditing delivery partner organisations to prepare them for external reviews and supporting them in meeting compliance and quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to promote best practices, address risks, and contribute to the continuous professional development of advisers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers
• Providing real-time support to advisers, which will include but is not limited to providing guidance in complex matters and provide advisers with sources of information.

2. Support, and regularly audit delivery partner organisations, ensuring that they are prepared for external reviews of their service in line with the Grant Agreement.

• Ensure partner organisation are kept up to date with the requirements for external assessments.
• Supporting partner organisations with the preparation and review of files and documentation ahead of an external assessment.
• Support partner organisations with the implementation of any remedial actions following an external review and support advisors to identify suitable training to improve areas highlighted.

3. Ensure project compliance and quality requirements are achieved.

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Mangers to ensure Advisors based at delivery partners have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements and have active involvement in the delivery of partnership events related to both quality improvement and CPD.
• Working collaboratively to share good practice in performance and quality improvement and to progress key priority areas of work.
• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately and contributing to wider monitoring and reporting requirements.

• Travel across London as required, and occasionally the UK

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Essential Criteria:

1. Experience and Skills:

• A minimum of two years’ full time (2,220 hours) or equivalent part-time experience of delivering debt advice
• Hold a valid Money and. Pension Service accredited qualification in debt advice
• Have recent knowledge and experience of specialist debt casework
• Ability to supervise, develop and motivate a team of Debt Advisers to achieve performance, quality and Continuous Professional Development
• Understanding of the issues involved in interviewing clients (all channels)
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex information and produce and present clear reports verbally and in writing in cross cultural settings.
• Ability to work with funders and (partner) organisations to earn and maintain the trust of the people with whom Toynbee Hall deals.
• Experience of the monitoring, managing and evaluation of projects and performance
• Have achieved the MaPS competency requirements for a Technical Debt Supervisor (or be working towards these) and have experience of monitoring casework for quality.
• Proven ability to work creatively to support change management using a solution-based approach that resolves issues and accomplishes goals
• Ability to lead and contribute to the team, including the ability to prioritise own work and the work of others, and take decisions in relation to service delivery and rota cover (if required)
• Ability to create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff are empowered and motivated to do their best
• Ability to best use IT systems and packages in the provision of advice services, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and case recording tools eg AdvicePro
