Job Purpose
The Business Support Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the day to day running of the business. They will support the delivery of projects whilst working with Project Managers. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful post holder will have effective organisational skills and be able to plan/prioritise the delivery of work. Key Result Areas/Duties
1. To be the first point of contact for the business daily.

4. Utilise project management software to record and monitor project planning and project tasks and to keep project deliverables on task and escalate when required.
5. Preparation or finalisation, monitoring, and maintenance of the following documents/reports: project brief, project plan, communication briefings, risk register.
6. Liaise with the team to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated by related projects.
7. Support the procurement team in the management of tenders from social media marketing and logging/updating application to compiling supplier performance monitoring and reporting.

Essential
The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and have GCSEs in Maths and English at grades A–C (or equivalent). They will be computer literate with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and will demonstrate accurate keyboard skills with strong attention to detail.
They will have experience working as part of a team as well as independently, and be confident in managing diaries and taking accurate minutes. They will be familiar with office systems and procedures, and possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
Candidates must have extensive experience using the internet and email systems, and have proven ability in organising meetings and disseminating information to stakeholders effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a professional and courteous telephone manner.

Role Purpose

At this exciting time for Blood Cancer UK, we are delighted to create this new role developing our health intelligence approach. We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the development of our blood cancer health data approach. This will involve maintaining and enhancing a portfolio of external facts, statistics, and evidence as well as overseeing our use of this insight internally.
You will have expert knowledge of NHS and UK health data sets, alongside a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in quantitative analysis. You will be confident in handling health datasets, and be able to summarise large amounts of data and information in a way that is understandable to the relevant audience.
Your role will involve sourcing and managing data relevant to our mission particularly blood cancer data sets, clinical trials and blood cancer drugs pipeline, and other national data sets that impact blood cancer outcomes. You will be responsible for data collection and analysis and supporting internal teams to use our data with confidence, particularly statistics that we use in our external communications and messaging. You will lead on the associated data governance for the collection and use of relevant external blood cancer data sets, working in partnership with colleagues managing internal data. This will include the salaries of five staff, grant-funding for emergency/ temporary accommodation for guests who wish to return to their home country (currently covered by a Government grant at 100%) and other running costs (eg insurance) and overheads (eg Third Sector body fees).
Your responsibilities will include :
Trusts
- To conduct an initial audit of existing Trust and Foundation donors to maintain and maximise potential income from these donors.
- To carry out prospect research using Fundsonline and other established Trust directories to identify new prospective donors.
- To establish a calendar-based pipeline showing submitted and planned applications, with required updates (including scheduled date, name, projected amount, and next action), to ensure timely and targeted applications and follow-up communications with donors (both existing and prospective).
- To monitor and respond to local and wider appropriate grant opportunities.
Corporates
- To scope local and wider district and borough opportunities for corporate partnerships, starting with warm contacts and existing donor networks.
- To build natural, face-to-face, contact and foster deep relationships with new corporate partners.
- To maintain a pipeline (as above) of corporate donors, prospects, communications, and planned approaches.
Community / Individuals
- To work with local community organisations and individuals, including those already engaged with/interested in HSSH and others, to raise awareness of the service, increase existing support, and generate new forms of support.
- To represent/showcase the work of HSSH through local events and forums, emphasising the need for, and the impact of, the service.
- In cooperation with the Social Media Management Group, to produce/ contribute to shared material/social posts profiling HSSH’s work and value, to the community, borough and wider bodies relative to our work.
- To prepare bespoke, scheduled, direct mail requests to individual donors, in the form of letters and e-mails.
- To maintain an up-to date information resource covering the issues relevant to local rough sleepers and migrants, to inform and evidence HSSH services.
Who We Are Hope for Southall Street Homeless (HSSH) is a charity founded in 2015 to provide a permanent night shelter in Southall. The need for this was identified by the Churches in Southall Leadership Team – at the time part of the wider Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter initiative – due to the high number of rough sleepers in Southall, at the time, over 31% of all Ealing’s rough sleepers.

About the Service
Specialist Family Support worker role delivers additional service and adds value to our accommodation service provision across Islington, Haringey and Enfield. Project delivers internally developed programme called STAR (Supporting Trauma Awareness and Resilience) to mothers, children and young people in their respective groups through out the week. Programme provides safe and confidential space to unpack experiences of trauma and abuse while developing new strategies, build resilience and healing through growing hearts and minds with the aim to strengthens relationships between mother and children after experiences of abuse.
About the Role
Main part of the role is delivering STAR programme to mother and children in their respective groups as well as planning meaningful activities and trips during half term times. Role is delivered in person through co-location in all three Haringey safe accommodations. Mother’s programme is delivered twice per week during day time while children component of the programme is delivered weekly in the afternoons between 3:45pm-5:30pm in each house. This role provides holistic support through ongoing feedback collection and identifications of important themes and topic which are developed further to best support our families as well as developing meaningful partnerships with community networks.

AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London. At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.
Job Purpose
To support young people with disabilities aged 18 to 25 to progress towards and into employment.
The role will involve liaising with education professionals and employers and brokering new opportunities for supported employment, volunteering, and work placements. You will work with young people to provide specialist one to one coaching, assess, and develop their employability skills and support them towards their own goals and objectives.
Working Conditions
This post is 35 hours per week. The post holder will occasionally be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

Principle Responsibilities
· Work with a caseload of individual young people to identify and support their aspirations for future employment and formulate plans to enable them to achieve their goals.
· Contribute to progress reports, reviews, open evenings and other events with education professionals, families, and young people
· Provide intensive 1:1 support in all aspects of employment support.
· Inform and work closely with the Employment Broker on the type of jobs that trainees want sourced, or job carved so that placements can be sought.

· Work with our experienced Service Delivery Team to deliver or co-ordinate coaching, and training as required.
· Support people in the workplace as required.
· Develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market and opportunities relating to employment, work experience and volunteering.
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local employer groups, statutory, voluntary, and private organizations to support the development of suitable opportunities.
· Engage with businesses that can create employment, volunteering, and work placements, including providing training / advice to employers as required.
· Identify any financial implications for individuals related to part time employment and disability benefits.
· Monitor the progress of individuals and keep appropriate records.
· Undertake necessary administrative duties relating to the role.
· Undertake learning and development as identified through regular appraisals and reviews.
