London Borough of Westminster

This is an exciting opportunity in the Westminster Outreach and Befriending Service for a Family and Volunteer Support Worker to deliver family support and volunteer peer service to families and children under the age of 5, new parents and their families, across the London Borough of Westminster.

This service provides a programme of support for pregnant women and parents/carers which includes face-to-face befriending in the home and community as well as support by phone and video. The aim of the programme is to increase the resilience and emotional wellbeing of parents who are experiencing isolation and require emotional/practical support.  

The Family and Volunteer Support Worker will work closely with the Team Leader and volunteers as well as the wider Westminster Outreach Service. The team works closely in partnership with Children’s Centres/Family Hubs, midwifery, health teams and mental health services.  You must be able and willing to travel regularly around London Borough of Westminster.

About the Department/Role

The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.

The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.

The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).

What you'll be doing

The Church of England seeks a committed and collaborative Safeguarding Policy Officer to join the National Safeguarding Team. This role is central to developing, revising, and implementing national safeguarding policies that protect and support all members of the Church community.

Working closely with Safeguarding Policy and Development Leads, you'll ensure policies are grounded in academic research, aligned with legislation and canon law, and informed by survivor experiences and Church-wide learning.

In this role, you will:

• Co-manage the development and roll-out of safeguarding policies, codes of practice and guidance
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including survivors, bishops, Diocesan Safeguarding Officers, and Church bodies
• Ensure policy relevance across dioceses, parishes, cathedrals, religious communities, and theological institutions
• Lead the coordination and improvement of the safeguarding e-manual
• Engage with NCIs departments to embed safeguarding policy into wider initiatives
• Support the NST's learning and review cycle to refine policies over time
• Represent survivor perspectives within policy, training, and quality assurance activities
• Provide briefings and respond to safeguarding queries from Church bodies
• Take ownership of non-legislative content creation related to safeguarding

Key role requirements

The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

As a key member of SCT’s Housing First team, you’ll provide tailored, person-centred support to people who have experienced homelessness and other traumatic events. We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused administrator to lead on the administration of the CLPE Learning Programme, which includes courses that take place both in person at the Centre and online as well as INSET training and consultancy delivered at other locations around the country. You will also be part of the Centre’s administration team to support the day-to-day running of the Centre and help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience. This will include providing reception cover, greeting visitors, answering phones, supporting tenants and event bookings, and providing general admin support to the team based at the Centre.

You will be based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. Your usual working hours will be 2pm to 6pm to provide Centre admin cover during this time, but this role will also require occasional evening or weekend working to fulfil event commitments, and flexibility to provide cover for staff leave. Due to the nature of your duties, and fixed hours, this role is not suitable for flexible or home working.

Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy.

As well as working closely with our teaching team, responding to enquiries and bookings, and arranging logistics for courses and events taking place at the Centre, you might also be supporting our librarian with a book launch, welcoming our trustees to a meeting, or looking after a famous children’s author.

• Providing the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to courses, webinars, CPD or other events, by email and phone, as well as responding to general enquiries

• Coordinating all booking information for courses, INSET training and consultancy

• Updating webpages for courses and events 

• Managing all event logistics, including joining details, invoicing, gathering feedback and on-the-day support / room set-up / catering

• Arranging travel and accommodation when necessary

• Working with the Centre Manager/s to ensure the smooth running of the building for visitors, staff and tenants

• Managing room bookings, including responding to enquiries, confirming and recording bookings and sending invoices

• Managing the Centre signing in system for guests

You will need good administration and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, as well as excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. You should also have experience of working in a customer-facing role and / or supporting schools and other education settings. An understanding of financial sales processes, including online booking processes, and competence with Microsoft Office, Teams and Zoom will be essential.

Information Security Officer
Hybrid – Home & London | Permanent | Circa £60,000 | 35 hrs/week (flexible)

A rare and brilliant opportunity to join this international development children’s charity, as their new Information Security Manager. You'll be the expert, working closely with the Chief Information Officer and other senior leaders to embed security practices across systems, suppliers, and staff. You’ll be joining a small but impactful Technology team where the culture is collaborative and down-to-earth. You’ll have the autonomy to get stuck in, alongside the backing to develop professionally, whether that’s through security qualifications or broader leadership skills.

What you will be doing
As Information Security Manager, you’ll lead the implementation of the organisation’s cyber security plans.

• Act as subject matter expert on information security across the organisation
• Ensure compliance with standards like Cyber Essentials Plus and CIS.
• Oversee third-party security providers and outsourced ICT services.
• Manage incident response planning, investigations, and reporting.
• Deliver engaging training to build a strong security culture.
• Collaborate with Legal and Data Protection teams to ensure GDPR compliance.
• Stay ahead of evolving threats and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Opportunity to influence at board level without people management responsibilities

 
What we are looking for
What matters most is your hands-on experience navigating real-world security challenges and your ability to see both the technical and human side of data protection.
You should have:

• Proven experience in ICT security management and incident response (CIS and Cyber Essential Plus).
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, risk-based mindset.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AZ-500, CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are highly desirable.

About the Role

The Advice Supervisor will be a key member of our Community Advice team who supervises and contributes to the delivery of our core service. You will help ensure we provide a quality advice service to Camden residents across face-to-face, telephone, video channels and other digital developments and ensure the targets, outputs and outcomes of all the generalist advice contracts and/or grant agreements are met.

Ideally, you will already be an experienced Advice Supervisor. However, we will consider this role as a development opportunity if you are already a qualified Generalist Adviser wanting to progress your career. You will need to have at least two years post qualification experience in delivering high quality generalist advice and casework and be able to demonstrate the potential to support others with varying levels of experience to do the same.

The National Pro Bono Centre brings together charities dedicated to providing pro bono legal services and improving access to justice. We serve as a central resource for charities who help people seeking free legal advice and representation. The role:

To build on our achievements, we are looking for someone to lead on strategy, to promote collaboration and coordination across the sector, to maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, and to oversee and lead on the growth and development of our portfolio of projects and activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership – Continuing to develop NPBC’s strategy in accordance with the vision, mission, strategic priorities, and values of the charity, working together with the Board of Trustees, staff, and our key stakeholders.
• Operational management - Ensuring that the organisation is run efficiently, with robust financial controls.  Managing the small team (3 permanent employees and 3 contractors).  Working with the team on projects and events management.
• Fundraising – Leading on fundraising and building and developing the relationship between NPBC and existing sponsors, as well as seeking out and building relationships with new and potential sponsors.
• Communications - Representing the NPBC in the promotion of its mission, vision and aims externally.
• Governance - Ensuring that the charity is well administered and working with the Board of Trustees to meet its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.

About you:

We are looking for a strategic planner with a proven record of leading teams or organisations to deliver high quality results.  You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong track record of fundraising through commercial sponsorship and developing lasting relationships with key stakeholder partners to achieve this.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and articulate a clear vision.
• Leadership style, which encourages, motivates, inspires and develops staff.
