Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota, shifts will be 3 days per week 08:00 - 21:30 including every other weekend and bank holidays

About the role

We're hiring a Support Coach to join our Independent Approved Premises, commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) which works with high risk offenders who have left prison. Penrose Drive is a community setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community if they do not have restrictions on their license. Security is therefore flexible in both design and operation. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners. You will join the team to support in the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents back into the community. You will engage with them through key working activities to understand their needs and goals, then provide pathways and support to enable them to independence and help reduce reoffending. 

The service hold regular activities in service, in a bright and airy environment. The team work closely with one another and support which achieving overall service KPI's, and you will be part of making a greater change. Everyday looks different so this is perfect for someone who wants a role where no two days are the same. We provide fresh hot meals to our residents which can also be enjoyed by staff. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a background in ciminal justice services, and has a real passion for what we do. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment, be proactive, and have resilience to challenges. You will thrive working within the team as well as independently, and be comfortable with working with people who have different offending histories. We're looking for someone who can build trust and rapport with others, and has a positive outlook, which can be used to support others. 

• Ability to manage own caseload and determine priorities with time management. Able to use own initiative
• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours or a good understanding of the sector.
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice and mental health

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator to support the procurement function within Harris Federation. This role is essential in ensuring that all goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with public sector procurement regulations and institutional policies.

You will play a key role in supporting the Procurement Team by ensuring timely delivery of resources and services, providing administrative support to the Team and having responsibility for procurement processes and policies.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Procurement processes and files

• To maintain and have responsibility for the Procurement Team’s eFiling system/SharePoint folders.
• Responsibility for overseeing the registration of new suppliers onto the Procurement Team’s e-tendering portal.
• To issue, collate and consolidate information requests from stakeholders at various levels.
• Requisition and reconciliation of purchase orders with invoices and liaise with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• To manage low level categories where appropriate.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement reports and spend analysis for the Procurement Team and Senior Leadership.

Administration and diary management

• To provide administrative support to the Procurement Team; team calendar management, scanning, shredding, downloading and filing documents.
• To arrange and co-ordinate supplier presentations; organizing meetings rooms, receiving guests, taking meeting notes etc.
• To deal with day-to-day enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist academies with their requests relating to the scheme of delegation, approval thresholds, purchase requests, conducting benchmarking exercises and in some instances obtaining competitive quotes via our frameworks or recommended suppliers to ensure best value.
• Maintain a procurement calendar to manage contract renewals, tender deadlines, and key procurement events.
• Coordinate supplier meetings and performance review meetings with suppliers.
• Maintain and have responsibility for procurement mailboxes.
• To maintain Procurement’s intranet pages.

Global Policy and Campaigns Planning and Performance Lead

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime, 35 hours per week

Location: London, UK, subject to the right to work (other locations can be considered)

This role reports directly to the Executive Director of WaterAid’s Global Policy and Campaigns (GPAC) team and is a member of GPAC’s Senior Management Team (SMT). About the Role:

As GPAC’s Planning and Performance Lead you will help us understand how the department is contributing towards WaterAid’s global strategy and maximise our global impact. The role will support GPAC’s work by leading the planning and performance assessment work, focussing on ensuring that the advocacy activity delivered across the department is aligned and working towards the same outcomes.

The role will work closely with the Directors in GPAC’s SMT and with members of the International Programmes Department (IPD) SMT to ensure that both departments’ plans are aligned. It will also engage with key Federation members involved in global policy, advocacy and campaigns work, with the WaterAid International Secretariat, and with the Global and UK performance, strategy and planning teams.

In this role, you will lead the design of the planning process for the department to deliver annual plans, ensuring alignment with similar processes in key Federation members and other departments, as well as being integrated with the wider organisation’s planning cycles.

You’ll also: 

• Project manage the implementation of the planning process, working in close coordination with GPAC SMT directors as well as and as relevant with other WaterAid, Member and WaterAid International directors.
• Lead the process to deliver an M&E framework for GPAC (including new metrics as relevant), that balances the effort required with the need to drive data informed decisions and actions.
• Run the quarterly and annual reporting cycle, working with senior leaders in GPAC to deliver high quality data, run learning sessions to reflect on the data to enable data driven and effective decision making.
• Manage the regular collation of data across the department and shared to the wider organisation, including to the Executive and Board reporting processes
• Represent GPAC in wider WaterAid UK and global groups around performance and planning.
• Support GPAC to partner closely with IPD to track Country Programme support requests, and use insights to inform strategic planning of the department.
• Be the internal communications lead for the department on matters related to planning and performance, working with the central internal communications function as appropriate.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Experience of leading performance and planning cycles within complex organisations.
• Background in M&E within NGO or comparable contexts. Understands the complexity around assessing performance.
• Excellent project management skills to optimise the use of resources; manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities using insightful interpretation and resourceful solutions.
• Ability to think strategically across complex and fast-moving environments; able to concentrate on the big picture and respond to trends and shifts in the wider world.

We’re looking for a person with strong social research skills who has the ability to lead our Evidence team. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure we’re developing our evidence base to inform our work.

With extensive experience and knowledge of applied research, evaluation and data analysis, you’ll provide strategic leadership to design, develop and deliver a programme of evidence projects as well as managing a team of evidence officers, identifying gaps in our evidence and providing advice about how to fill them.

You’ll deliver internal projects and commission external research projects, working with colleagues in policy, press, campaigns and beyond to do so. Contributing to key internal working groups will be another key aspect of the role, as well as monitoring and responding to requests for evidence. And you’ll be committed to ensuring people with MS are involved in the design and delivery of evidence projects and to ensuring we seek views from people from a wide range of backgrounds.

General Overview of Role

The post-holder will be responsible for writing bid applications within Combat Stress. This will include:

• Support the development and delivery of Combat Stress's bid writing under the leadership of the Director of Fundraising (DoF) and Head of Trusts and Foundations (HTF), in order to support our role as a specialist UK-wide provider of mental health services to veterans with complex mental health needs.
• With guidance and support from DoF and HoTF contribute to the various stages of a bid or tender process.
• Support the team in managing service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with the business development framework and governance processes - with support from DoF and HoTF.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Complete bid writing in support of the business development agenda of Combat Stress, working with all departments in promoting our services to attract new business and supporting cost-effective service delivery.

• Assist in the provision of treatment to cats as advised by our veterinary staff.
• Organise the cat foster programme, matching suitable cats with cat foster volunteers and advise on cat behaviour.
• Organise the cat intake list, providing owners with advice and where appropriate admitting cats into the Cattery.
• Assist the Cat Adoption Officer with rehoming the cats under our care.
• Work flexibly in a team environment, often independently, to meet the specific needs of  the cats in our care by helping with their feeding, cleaning, enrichment and grooming.

To be successful in this role, you need:

– A strong understanding of cat behaviour and welfare

– Excellent customer service skills

– Experience in handling cats and caring for them

– A calm, compassionate, resilient and friendly manner
