The Team Administrator for the British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM), is a varied and vital role in which you will provide administrative support for the Association’s activities, such as supporting the working and steering groups, minute taking, managing the application process, adding events to our website and sending email newsletters.  

As Team Administrator for the BAPM, you will manage the administration for the BAPM endorsement process and run the administration for the student essay competition and the BAPM Awards.

Reporting to the BAPM Chief Executive, you will work as part of a team of five staff members, therefore flexibility of duties and roles will be required. As a crucial member of a small team, it is essential for you to develop and maintain an understanding of perinatal issues in order to appreciate the wider impact of BAPM’s work. Ideally the role is for 35 hours per week but 28 hours per week can be offered for the right candidate.

Educated to a good standard, you should have substantial experience of providing administrative support to a busy team and be capable of prioritising competing demands and delivering to deadlines. With experience of organising online meetings and taking notes, ideally you will have a background in using online forms to collect and present data and be adept at managing a shared email inbox, running webinars and updating websites using a content management system.

An excellent team player with outstanding organisational, communication and customer service skills, you should be self-motivated and have the ability to act in a professional manner and manage sensitive and confidential information.

The ability to undertake occasional travel for BAPM meetings and conferences would be desirable.

The role is home-based with the option of London desk space working if preferred.

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will lead and support the surveying, maintenance, and refurbishment of a wide variety of buildings and structures across our estate.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver condition surveys, oversee refurbishment programmes, and manage maintenance works on everything from residential lodges and listed bridges to ornamental gates and water features.

Purpose of This Role: 

This is a new, pivotal strategic role to shape future policy and practice in how faith communities support social prescribing for the benefit of local communities. Building on the emerging body of research around the connection between faith and health, this role will take the lead at a national level influencing, shaping and convening partners to unlock and unleash the significant resources of faith groups in contributing towards holistic healthcare delivered within the community.

The purpose of this role is to lead and co-ordinate NASP’s national work on social prescribing with partners across the faith sector and enable a better understanding of how to work effectively with faith communities through social prescribing, and the role that faith and belief plays in supporting good health and wellbeing. The role will work to improve accessibility of community support through social prescribing. The role would have a particular emphasis on access and health inequalities due to faith groups’ reach into deprived communities and ethnic minority communities.

The role sits in the National Leads team and will work alongside colleagues leading on the key areas of the natural environment, physical activity, historic environment, arts and culture, children and young people and older people.

• Act as the faith lead within NASP, being the point of contact and key advocate for faith communities’ involvement in social prescribing

Experience & Knowledge:

As a Senior Event Planner, you will be a key member of their experienced and dynamic team.  You will play a crucial role in converting high-revenue business opportunities and planning and coordinating both physical and hybrid events. Your efforts will help maximise income and fill unsold spaces which support our revenue targets. You will also drive high performance and engagement within the team by deputising for the diary/revenue and team managers as needed, and by supervising the commercial planning team to ensure best practices and change initiatives are implemented.

In addition to managing your own events, you will support the sales team by planning and coordinating events converted from new prospective clients with high revenue potential. Your role will involve maintaining and developing high-value key accounts, networking with existing clients, and engaging with past users to generate future business and develop new leads. A strong commercial awareness of profitable business and current industry trends is essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Liaising with customers from the initial enquiry stage, right through the customer journey to post event follow up including for physical, hybrid and virtual events.
• Arranging and conducting client venue visits, handling enquiries and following up with detailed proposals.
• Demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the product, pricing and packages on offer,
• Demonstrating commercial awareness in order to successfully negotiate with customers to win their business.
• Participating in site visits, handling enquiries and taking ownership of large revenue events, as directed by the Business Development Manager.
• Ensuring the successful delivery of events, by communicating, coordinating and compiling event details and liaising with the event operations and front of house teams.
• Preparation and processing of accurate deposits and invoices.
• Generating and reporting on activities as required.
• Yield management, ensuring up to date activities and maintenance of accounts in the CRM system.
• Creating and managing Key Account plans.
• Delivering a consistently high level of customer service.

Experience

• Educated to A-level, or equivalent business or event management qualification.
• Demonstrate relevant experience in Event Planning and Coordination with the skills, knowledge and commercial understanding required for the role.
• Working in a direct planning role within the hospitality/events industry specialising in conferences, meetings, dining and events, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
• Being commercially aware of finance, budget management and working in a profitable business.
• Having knowledge of food and beverage in the context of the hospitality and events industry.
• Ability to prioritise your own workload and completing tasks with a high level of accuracy.

About the role

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to work across multiple services within the area, to manage the running and coordination of regular activities, events, and trips for our residents. Our service provides support to residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will line manage a team of 2 peer support mentors. Our Peer Mentor role is designed for people who have lived experience of that faced by our residents. You will support with all aspects of line management and wellbeing support, ensuring they are well supported within their role. 

As an Activities Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver high quality activities and programmes which work in support to individual support places and goals, by creating a calendar of activities, celebrations, awareness months/days/weeks and events to encourage social skills and community engagement. You will also maintain effective stakeholder relationships, find new partnerships, and create a catalogue of partners which are easily accessible.

You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. We are looking for a thoughtful, relational and data savvy Individual Giving and Philanthropy Lead to strengthen and grow our community of supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to take ownership of a key income stream, shape strategy and bring creativity and care to supporter relationships.

This is a hands-on and strategic role that blends relationship building, storytelling, data management and fundraising techniques. You’ll work closely with the CEO, trustees, the corporate partnerships lead and our communications lead to develop a supporter care programme that reflects our values, grows engagement and ultimately increases income. You will also begin to develop our major donor strategy, with support from senior leaders and existing networks. Due to funding for this post, you will split your time between raising funds for Pecan’s Southwark Foodbank, as well as Pecan’s other programmes and community services, and you will liaise closely with colleagues across both these areas.

Main Responsibilities:
Working with the CEO, trustees corporate partnerships and communications team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Individual Giving and Donors: develop, manage, monitor and improve the individual giving fundraising portfolio - with the initial aim of generating in excess of £250,000 per annum from individual giving. 
• Relationships with local churches and their congregations: work with the trustees and senior leadership team to deepen our relationships with out (cross denominational) member churches and to build links with additional churches in and near the area and local umbrella Christian organisations. 
• Relationships with local institutions: work with other local institutions such as schools and business to find individual donors who will financially support Pecan's work. .
• Fundraising Appeals: coordinate fundraising appeals including the Pecan and Foodbank Christmas fundraising campaign, Big Give Campaigns, and other appeals across all income and media streams.
• Fundraising Systems and Processes: Oversee our fundraising systems and processes using our new CRM (Beacon) to ensure data is accurate, GDPR compliant, segmented and usable for effective analysis, reporting and engagement. 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

• Proven experience in individual giving fundraising, including appeals and donor journeys.
• Experience managing and stewarding a portfolio of regular and one-off donors.
• Experience of using and maintaing a fundraising CRM (e.g. Beacon, Raiser's Edge, Donorfy, Salesforce), including data segmentation and analysis.
• Experience writing compelling donor communications (letters, emails, thankyous, updates). 

Desirable knowledge/expertise

• Exposure to, or experience with, major donor fundraising (e.g. researching prospects, supporting cultivation or stewardship).
• Understanding of Pecan's values and how they shape organisational culture.
• Knowledge of Peckham and the London Borough of Southwark.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising or similar professional body.
