FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 8,500 frontline charities and community groups.

The role
This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.
For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.
You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.
You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.
Main areas of responsibility
Partnership Management
- Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
- Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and
- agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
- Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
- Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
- Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
- Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management
Project and Initiative Management
- Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics, Operations and Network Development teams with the aim of optimising food out to our network
- Develop and lead FareShare cross-departmental strategic activity to enable us to derive maximum value from key food partners including liaising with fundraising, marketing and volunteering teams

About the Role
As Senior Stewardship and Events Manager, you will be leading on the creation of ambitious funding propositions which will be attractive to high value donors and funders, working with key stakeholders from across the organisation to fully understand our existing services and transformational projects; translating complex information into compelling cases for support to be used by our High Value Partnerships team in funding applications, pitches and proposals. You will work closely with Recovery Services, Data and Insights and Finance teams to ensure all relevant information is gathered and reporting and evaluation processes are in place.
Working with your team and the wider High Value Partnerships team you will develop a special events programme to support engagement and fundraising, as well as leading on the development of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. This exciting role will enable Alcohol Change UK to reach millions of people across the UK with key messages about alcohol and alcohol harm, delivered through print, online, and broadcast media engagement tactics. With a high level of existing press interest in our work and campaigns (including our flagship Dry January® campaign), this is an exciting moment as we look to develop our proactive media engagement and share reframed stories about alcohol which resonate with a huge audience. Your work will drive significant awareness of our organisation, and ultimately enable millions of people to transform their relationship with alcohol.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Media engagement

Manage the organisation’s media inbox and phone line, handling enquiries from journalists and providing responses in a timely manner

Provide regular out of hours media cover on a rota basis (scaling depending on busier campaign periods, shared fairly with others and TOIL provided for hours worked)

Develop public media statements and quotes across the whole spectrum of Alcohol Change UK’s work, issuing to press both reactively and proactively

Provide ongoing development of our key lines library, regularly reviewing responses we have on file for a range of topics

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that purchasing administration from point of order through to payment is administered in line with agreed Service Levels

About the role

Responsible to the Head of Finance the post-holder will need to:

Candidates should have previous management accounting experience in a similar size organisation, advanced level of excel and be fully qualified/part qualified as an accountant under CIMA/ACCA/ACA. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate financial information to those with non-financial backgrounds.
Up to date knowledge of charity tax rules including VAT and partial exemption, experience of using MS Dynamics, Netsuite , report writing skills and experience of system change/integration will be desirable.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for project managing a number of our services. You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget, and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.
You will lead and support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from initiation through to evaluation and review, that will directly contribute to the company’s growth strategy and impact.
The Programme Manager will also be a key member of the department and contribute to, departmental strategies, systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme management to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the joint directors of development and engagement (D&E), and director of policy and strategy (P&S). The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.
We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. You will lead them in line with the vision, mission and values of the charity and work to fulfil the goals of our strategic plan. You will strengthen our current volunteering strands with effective governance and great communication and will develop new volunteering opportunities within the charity.
You will manage our volunteer-led Branches and Support groups who offer peer support, fundraising opportunities and activities locally. You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.
You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.
We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. Also someone with great communication and relationship management skills who has experience of managing volunteers at all stages of their volunteer journey.
There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.

As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.
You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.
You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers. Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.
Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.
You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable. Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential. Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.
