Pact (the Prison Advice & Care Trust) is a pioneering national charity that supports individuals in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community, and their families. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Development Officer to join our Families Together Project in South Yorkshire.

About the role

The Development Officer will be responsible for delivering Family Forums within HMP Lindholme and HMP Moorland, supporting the Development Manager with Professionals Forums and training, and engaging with families and partner agencies in the community. This role plays a vital part in improving the lives of people impacted by imprisonment by fostering engagement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver monthly Family Forums within each prison.
• Engage families and ensure their voices are heard.
• Monitor and track progress from Family Forums.
• Build relationships with prison departments and community agencies.
• Support logistics for Professionals Forums and other events.
• Recruit and manage volunteers with a person-centred approach.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Experience in working with families affected by imprisonment and knowledge of safeguarding and data protection policies are desirable.

Role Summary  

Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-framed. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus on supporting people to share their experiences by working empathetically to gather and develop a diverse range of compelling personal stories on alcohol and alcohol harm, and working with colleagues to bring them to life across our channels. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels. You will have responsibility for wider tasks across the team, including monitoring inboxes, creating reports and supporting colleagues flexibly, particularly during busier campaign periods.

How you will make a difference

Reporting to the Prospect Research Manager, you will identify and qualify new prospects across Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants, and Corporate Partnerships. What the job involves

We’re looking for a Healthcare Improvement Officer to join our Improvement Programmes Team and help us deliver exciting initiatives that support healthcare professionals to improve prostate cancer services across the UK. Examples of projects supported include work around establishing better Active Surveillance so that more men can avoid unnecessary radical treatment; work to restructure and make faster the diagnostic pathway; work to coordinate with primary care and support earlier diagnosis; new surgical procedures that spare men the burden of incontinence. As Healthcare Improvement Officer, you’ll play a central role in making sure our programmes run smoothly and have maximum impact. You’ll oversee on the logistics and delivery of events across the UK and online, from our Clinical Champions Programme and Clinical Advisory Group meetings to our annual healthcare professional conference. You’ll also oversee recruitment for programmes, manage databases and monitoring systems, and handle financial processes such as invoices and purchase orders, ensuring everything is delivered on time and to a high standard.

Your work will range from planning and scheduling programmes, to procuring resources, preparing materials and helping to facilitate sessions so that participants are fully supported in their learning. You’ll also contribute to quality improvement project development and coordination, working with teams across Prostate Cancer UK to share good practice and expand the reach of our initiatives.

Engagement will be a key part of your role, from maintaining webpages and digital channels to supporting our alumni network through newsletters, communications and opportunities for continued involvement. You’ll help manage our online Clinical Champions learning hub and, with training provided, will also have the chance to coach and mentor clinicians using Insights Discovery (a psychometric tool helping people understand their own and others' behavioural preferences and communication styles).

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone who’s highly organised, comfortable working with people and able to keep several projects moving at once. Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit different audiences, from clinicians to colleagues across the organisation.

You’ll bring experience in event planning and support, along with project coordination, and you’ll be comfortable managing webpages and creating online content. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, colleagues and senior leaders, so collaboration will be second nature to you.

An understanding of the healthcare and/or charity sectors will be valuable, as will experience in presenting and facilitating discussions. You’ll also need excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively when things get busy.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to join our team of nearly 100 staff, ideally before the end of 2025.

This is a full-time, home-based, permanent position. You can be based anywhere in mainland UK or Ireland, with some travel and occasional overnight stays to meeting and conferences mainly in England and Wales.

The Finance Director (“FD”) works alongside the Chief Executive and Operations Director to manage the finances and governance of The Rivers Trust, a leading conservation charity with three associated trading subsidiaries operating across the UK and Ireland, with a collective annual income approaching £10m.

Given the prospective retirement of the current postholder at the end of 2025, we are seeking a well-qualified and experienced individual to take on this senior leadership role as soon as possible to enable handover to occur.

The role is very varied and wide-ranging, including presenting financial information to the Trustees and senior management on a quarterly basis, reviewing monthly management accounts, leading on annual budgeting, appraising internal project concepts and contracts, statutory compliance administration and liaising with auditors.

The postholder will lead a team of eight in the Finance department and join a very welcoming team of 95 highly engaged and passionate staff at The Rivers Trust.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Working alongside the CEO, the Finance Director will provide commercial, financial and governance management and leadership for The Rivers Trust ("the Charity") and its associated subsidiaries (“The Companies”). The FD will not only be an exceptional accountant, with executive oversight of the finance function, but will be commercially astute and have the confidence to represent robustly the best interests of The Companies. The FD will also be an experienced manager of people.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Act as a business partner to support and constructively challenge the CEO in the general management of the Charity and the Companies, reporting to the board.
2. Lead all aspects of the finance function (including maintaining and developing the financial control environment; robust financial accounting; cashflow management; incisive management information; clear and concise reporting to Board) to ensure that the Charity and the Companies’ assets are secured, risks are managed, and the Board of Trustees, subsidiary boards and committees can make well-informed decisions.
3. Manage relationships with auditors, funders, IT specialists, banks, investment platforms and other external organisations.
4. Provide support to project bids and the development of other commercial opportunities to ensure that bids/opportunities are optimised for the Charity and the Companies as a whole.
5. Provide input to project and programme delivery from time to time, to ensure that performance is maximised for the Charity and the Companies.
6. Attend Board meetings and Business Audit and Risk Committee meetings to guide the Board and the Senior Management Team on financial, commercial and governance issues.
7. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Charity Commission and Companies House and, from time to time, provide guidance to members of the Rivers Trust movement on good governance practice.
8. Maintain the finance department operational manual for business continuity.
9. Serve as the Company Secretary for the Charity and Companies.

1. Lead, manage and develop the finance team (who work remotely) and ensure the team understands their respective and collective contribution to achieving the Charity's and the Companies’ objectives.
2. Support the team in their professional development.

We are seeking a Funding Officer to join our passionate and friendly team in Northern Ireland.

This permanent position is part of our Southern Team, which covers the following Council areas: Ards and North Down, Mid Ulster, Newry Mourne and Down and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon. Led by a Funding Manager and supported by four other Funding Officers, you will be responsible for the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas while also working flexibly across the wider local team to help meet the demands of our funding programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering over £30m annually to support communities and create real impact across Northern Ireland

Based primarily in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon areas, you will work from home and within local community settings. The role will also require travel to our Belfast office (around once every couple of weeks) as well as occasional visits to other parts of the Southern team area.

This is a varied and rewarding role and involves assessing funding applications across our programmes, managing grants and monitoring progress and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. About the role:

This role is a hybrid post and your location will be Dyfed Powys Police Headquarters in Carmarthen.
As a Triage & Early Intervention Officer you will:

The Role:
To assist in the delivery of a high-quality, widely respected and customer-influenced repairs and maintenance function by providing full project management support and customer liaison across the full range of Stoll’s property compliance and asset maintenance contracts and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a positive image of Stoll to its customers, stakeholders, and other relevant outside bodies.
Provide input to the Corporate Plan and Team Plans through participation in Organisational, Departmental and Team Meetings.
Provide appropriate ‘team’ cover in the absence of other staff as reasonably requested.

Specific Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement the delivery of gas safety services to include annual gas safety checks to all dwellings and gaining access to inaccessible homes.
• Develop and maintain effective mechanisms to ensure all gas, LPG, oil, ASHP & renewables and solid fuel appliances are inspected annually.
• Maintain up-to-date and appropriate records for the proper management of the gas safety programme and all other property compliance programmes. This may include both paper and electronic records.
• Ensure that STOLL meet all statutory and HSE (Health and Safety Executive) requirements relating to all identified areas of property compliance including all elements of FLAGEL –   fire, legionella, asbestos, gas safety, electrical safety, and lifts.
• Work closely with the H&S Officer to ensure that work relating to fire safety is delivered appropriately and as required.
• Effectively manage appropriate facilities management and property compliance budgets and resources to ensure optimum service/programme levels are achieved.
• Process invoices and ensure contract payments are made in a timely fashion.
• Provide colleagues with itemised service charge estimates for tenants and leaseholders detailing the annual costs of servicing/maintenance/cyclical works.
• Ensure timely, accurate and relevant performance management information is available for review and can be produced for the property compliance function. Assist in monitoring performance targets to achieve continuous improvement.
• Assist with the preparation, administration and monitoring of facilities management and property compliance contracts and programmes. Prepare specifications and schedules and programmes of work. Issue works orders and monitor quantity, progress, and quality of works on site.
• Manage contractors daily across the full portfolio of facilities management and property compliance programmes, ensuring that contractors adhere to an agreed programme for each individual resident’s home and that collectively programmes are delivered on time.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of all records relating to property compliance and facilities management. This will include input and record keeping and include supervision of contractors.
• Records must be maintained to a standard which ensures that all information in connection with servicing and testing programmes is readily retrievable when requested.
• Carry out site inspections of works in progress when required. Arrange and minute regular meetings with property compliance, facilities management and cyclical maintenance contractors either as specified in individual contracts, or on good practice grounds agreed with the Director of Property and Asset Management.
