Job description

Then take a look at this Advice Worker job – employed by Manchester Mind and placed in the innovative Recovery in Community Team, a collaboration between Manchester Mind and Gaddum. Together we are supporting people as they move from hospital back into their community. Ensuring people have stable income, housing and less problematic debt is essential to this journey. This is the role – working within a team which is collaborative, supportive and strengths-based to deliver holistic and person-centred support.

Manchester Mind is the employer of the Recovery in Community Service Housing and Welfare Rights Advisor so you will gain support and expertise from our existing Advice service whilst sitting within the experienced and multi-disciplinary Recovery in Community Team.

Position:  Recovery in Community Service Housing and Welfare Rights Adviser

Salary: £27,565 - £29,253

Hours: 35 hours per week until 31st March 2026 (with extension possible dependent on funding)

The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:

· Ability to create a sense of belonging through the development of kind relationships that lead to people feeling accepted and heard.

· Experience of delivering social welfare law – particularly around benefits and housing.

· Ability to collaborate and share skills and knowledge.
