About the Role
In this newly created role, you will work directly with the CEO, providing oversight and direction to Team Leaders to ensure that services operate effectively and meet contractual requirements. You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire, with the ability to make an impact quickly. You’ll bring proven hands-on experience in a similar role working with a team to establish effective and innovative ways to deliver services.
Main Responsibilities
1. Strategic and Operational Leadership
· Hold overall accountability for service performance and quality, working through the Adult, Young and Hospital Carers Team Leaders who lead day-to-day operations
· Ensure alignment with our strategic priorities and our commissioned outcomes.
· Contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team, supporting organisational strategy, planning and delivery.
· Ensure that all carer services operate cohesively, with smooth transitions between age groups and consistent quality standards.
· Use data and feedback to drive service improvement and innovation.
2. Service Delivery and Quality
· Oversee the effective management of the Adult, Young, Young Adult and Hospital teams.
· Embed a culture of high performance, reflective practice and continuous learning.
· Ensure strong safeguarding practices are central in all services
· Ensure systems are used consistently for case management, data recording and reporting.
· Work with the Diverse Communities Worker and other leads to ensure services are inclusive, culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of underrepresented groups
· Oversee the effective involvement of volunteers within carer services, working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure they are well-supported, trained and valued as integral members of the team.
3. People Leadership and Team Development
· Foster collaboration and a supportive team culture built on the Carers Bucks values.
· Line-manage and support the three Team Leads, ensuring clarity of priorities, effective supervision and professional growth.
· Support wellbeing, resilience and a sense of shared purpose across teams.
4. Safeguarding
· Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Carers Bucks, providing advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements, and escalating concerns appropriately.
· Maintain oversight of all safeguarding cases across the organisation and support Team Leaders in their DDSL responsibilities.
5. Partnership and Representation
· Provide strategic coordination across thematic leads (Diverse Communities, Hospitals, Volunteers) to ensure alignment and shared priorities across services
· Represent Carers Bucks strategically with partners across social care, education and health.
· Support the CEO in relationships with commissioners, primary and secondary care, schools and VCSE partners to enhance identification and referral of carers.
· Champion the voice of carers of all ages through partnership boards, networks and other forums.
6. Performance, Impact and Reporting
· Monitor performance against contract outcomes, KPIs and quality standards.
· Work with our Data Lead to ensure accurate reporting and a strong evidence base for our work.
· Analyse trends and learning to inform service design and improvement.
· Contribute to quarterly and annual reports for commissioners and trustees.
· Provide effective feedback upwards to the CEO.
7. Organisational Contribution
· Contribute to strategic planning, risk management and organisational development.
· Represent Carers Bucks at events, conference and key campaigns
· Lead on the co-design of new approaches, including digital and preventative models.
· Stay abreast of local and national developments in carers’ policy and practice.
· Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Executive.

About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day finance functions of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all financial activities.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and posting journals, reconciling accounts, producing draft management accounts, and managing monthly processes. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and Resources to strengthen financial systems and prepare for future growth — including line management of a new Finance Officer from April 2026.

We’re recruiting an Advice & Triage Service Manager to lead Norwood’s new Advice Triage Service (Open Front Door), a flagship access point for families, professionals, and community partners seeking advice and guidance across children’s and adult social care. This is a key leadership role overseeing the service’s launch, growth and delivery, with responsibility for operational performance, stakeholder engagement and service innovation.
You’ll build and lead a committed triage team, align referral pathways across Norwood’s services, and work closely with external partners across the Jewish community and statutory sectors. Your Day-to-Day
As Advice & Triage Service Manager you’ll:
- Deliver: establish and embed the Advice Triage (OFD) model for public launch in March 2026
- Lead: recruit, manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team including triage workers, referrals staff, and reception
- Develop processes: create triage protocols, safeguarding and referral procedures, and escalation frameworks
- Be client focused: oversee a first class inbound query management across all contact channels
- Champion collaboration: coordinate referral pathways with key partners, and build strategic relationships with schools, synagogues, charities and LA/NHS services
- Design: manage the design and population of an online service directory
- Turn up the volume: work with communication and engagement teams to promote the service
- Ensure great customer service: oversee the development and rollout of a CRM system
- Analyse and evaluate: lead service evaluation, report to senior leadership and funders, and embed co-production in service design
Qualifications, Training and Experience
Essential:
- Relevant degree in Social Work, Health, Education, or Management; And/or Leadership or project management qualification
- 3+ years’ experience in social care, education, or advice services
- Proven ability to lead services, manage teams, and deliver change
- Strong knowledge of referral systems across the voluntary and statutory sectors
- Sound safeguarding knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder, communication and CRM skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Jewish community and culturally specific services
- Experience setting up a helpline, triage service or call centre
- Familiarity with neurodivergent support needs and transitions

Job Description
This is an exciting and varied role, and we are looking for a proactive post holder who will manage three key aspects of CARA’s service provision:
- Manage new referrals into our service, overseeing the work of our team of First Contact Navigators and our Information and Referrals Co-ordinator.
- Manage our counselling waiting lists and the allocation of clients to a counsellor, overseeing the work of our Allocations Team.
- Act as the main lead and point of contact for managing CARA’s client database and resolving any data queries.
This role will lead a talented and committed team of six, supporting their work and assisting them to develop their key roles. As well as overseeing day-to-day operations of the team, the post holder will be part of CARA’s management team and will have the opportunity to play a key role in CARA’s wider development, working closely with CARA’s Senior Leadership Team and Team Managers.
The First Contact Navigator project is a shared project with our sister centres, SERICC and SOS Rape Crisis, so the post holder will liaise closely with colleagues in those centres.
Main Responsibilities
Line management and team support
· To line manage CARA’s Information and Referrals Co-ordinator, First Contact Navigators and Allocations Co-ordinators, providing day-to-day support, monitoring performance and identifying training and development needs. This will include keeping up to date notes of line management meetings and conducting and recording annual staff appraisals.
· To support CARA’s Information and Referrals Co-ordinator, First Contact Navigators and Allocations Co-ordinators, working alongside them where necessary, and covering these roles during annual leave and other absences.

· To oversee and update CARA’s counselling waiting lists, working with the Allocations Co-ordinators, and leading regular meetings to review waiting times, pushing forwards actions to reduce these wherever possible.
· To oversee and update the CARA map of service delivery ensuring we have an accurate picture of client sessions across our therapy teams.
· To develop expertise in our purpose-designed client database, ensuring the team are fully trained in its use and working with the Senior Leadership Team and Synergy Partners to ensure client data is kept up to date.
