About the Department/Role

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

The Church of England's Vision and Strategy for the 2020s has three priorities, one of which is to be a church which is younger and more diverse. As part of this, the House of Bishops want to ensure that a flourishing children, youth and families ministry is within reach of every young person in England.

The NSE is working with the Vision and Strategy team to help deliver this vision through a range of projects in our 'growing faith' pillar which focus on the intersection between church, home and school; aiming to develop the faith life of children and young people, whilst also growing young leaders.

We are a dynamic team, working remotely from our homes around the country. We gather regularly online, and also have in-person team days through the year.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic oversight for the engagement, sustainability and impact of a range of national leadership development programmes and experiences for young leaders (4-18) and young adults (18-25) including the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award, the Flourishing Young Leaders programme, the Christian Young Leaders pathway and Young Voices at General Synod. To lead a curriculum development and delivery team across these programmes to ensure that children and young people are placed instinctively at the heart of the mission of the church, and that developing flourishing young people is at the heart of the mission of schools, school trusts and dioceses.

Key Role Requirements

• This role is fully remote.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and confident Supporter Care Administrator to ​provide an excellent supporter care service for the Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving team. 

You will be the primary contact point for our supporters, prospective supporters and the public, taking responsibility and ownership for each enquiry, providing answers to questions relating primarily to donations and fundraising activities. You will also support your manager in developing a new stewardship programme to welcome, engage and retain our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be the first point of contact for prospective and existing supporters, helping with enquiries, taking donations, reassuring concerns and ensuring our supporters have a positive experience with every contact and interaction they have with our charity.

You will:

• Take full ownership, responding effectively to all enquiries, interactions and complaints received on our fundraising activities, by email, phone and letter. 
• Respond to supporters with empathy and compassion, applying our tone and voice and brand values
• Maintain supporter database records of enquiries received, ensuring that all data entered is administered accurately
• Work to meet agreed response times (SLAs) to enquires, ensuring supporters are satisfied
• Work with the Individual Giving Manager (Stewardship) on key stewardship activities and supporter journeys, to thank, welcome, engage and retain our supporters.
• Represent the team at cross-team meetings to ensure our supporter’s voice is heard, sharing feedback gathered through direct supporter interactions
• Keep up to date with technology, applying digital approaches, new solutions and identify improvements to become more effective in donation and contact processes.

About You

You will be a highly organised and confident individual, with experience in customer service or supporter care roles, with a passion to make a difference by engaging with and acknowledging supporters who choose to donate to or fundraise for our charity.

Experience of:

• Securing income (five-figure gifts min) from Trusts, foundations and statutory sources.

Skills:

The ideal Senior Team Nurse candidate will have a strong background in hospice and palliative care, with at least 3 years of specialist clinical experience and 2 years in end-of-life care leadership. They should demonstrate expertise in nurse-led care delivery,

patient assessment, and escalation. Experience in ward management and involvement in service improvement projects is also essential, highlighting both leadership and innovation in clinical settings.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of this role is to empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing, maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, under the direction of the Service Manager. This is a 24/7 service and will require you to complete sleep in shifts as well as cooking for service users at the weekends as well. This can result in longer but few days worked but you will on average only work 39 hours per week.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. In this role, you will bring experience of working with individuals who have mental health needs and dual diagnosis, gained in either paid or voluntary settings. You will be committed to working in a calm, non-judgemental, and anti-discriminatory way, with an optimistic belief in each client's capacity for positive change. You will take a solution-focused approach, working constructively and collaboratively to address challenges, while using de-escalation skills to support clients who may display difficult or challenging behaviour.

You will also demonstrate flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work unsociable hours, including early, late, overnight and weekend shifts as required by the rota. You will be quick to learn, able to gather and process information effectively, make defensible decisions, and record detailed and accurate information to be shared appropriately within the framework of confidentiality. Most importantly, you will show a strong understanding of safeguarding, ensuring that issues are identified and addressed promptly to maintain the safety and wellbeing of service users at all times.

What you'll do:
- Maintain and update the Look Ahead's Information Asset Register, RoPA and other key governance documentation.
- Support the Information Governance Manager in delivering the annual work programme and reporting to the Information Governance Group.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments of data processing activities and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Lead on the implementation and monitoring of information governance policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Monitor compliance with Look Ahead's IG policies and relevant legislation, escalating issues where necessary.

Digital Inclusion Coordinator 

Age Uk Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our community based inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation. We are looking for someone who has confident Digital Inclusion experience and ideally some experience of working with people living with dementia.

The role will include providing intensive coaching, support and troubleshooting with IT skills and equipment as well as working closely with Age UK Westminster’s other services including digital inclusion group sessions and dementia activities. The role will demand a division of time in the office and in clients’ homes in Westminster.

Youth Participation Officer

Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!

The post holder will manage and develop youth-led community projects in which young people develop their leadership and employability skills through becoming actively involved in their community and participating in self-directed community action. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of several youth-led community projects, primarily the organisation of youth-led community events, but might also include elements of other youth-led activities, such as youth action team, health champions and ambassadors. 

For example, typically, this would involve working with groups of around 10 young people in each cohort and support them to deliver their community event project over a 12-week period.  Examples of events include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and our community Christmas dinner. This post will be part of the delivery team overseeing self-directed community action projects. The post holder may also support drop-in sessions and other activities aimed at engaging young people and referring them onto the youth-led community action programme.

About the role

As a Clinical Led, you will be responsible for shaping, leading, and delivering our Clinical strategy. You will champion best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure we are providing meaningful outcomes for our residents and participants. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead on risk management and risk assessments, in line with SIG’s theory of change, carry out strengths-based assessments of need and risk and deliver holistic support and risk management plans, enabling residents/participants to achieve their aspirations and keep themselves safe.

About you

We are looking for someone who can proactively take leadership and ownership of creating safer and compliant clinical services for our residents and participants. You will be able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information effectively, and able to upskill others to be empowered to perform within their roles, with knowledge of clinical excellence. You will have:

• Registered Clinical Profession; Specialist Registered Mental Health Nurse, Non Medical Prescriber qualification or equivalent
• Proven leadership in clinical service delivery within health, social care, or third sector settings
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and driving service excellence
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Thorough understanding of risk management and able to share this with colleagues at all levels through training, meetings and one to one support
• Ability to translate industry standards into internal practices, updating relevant people on any updates on a regular basis. Keep in line with regulations and relevant trends
• Understanding of interplay between physical health, mental health, and substance use
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise
