The ideal candidate needs to be a child-centred, proactive, enthusiastic individual, with a pragmatic and positive approach. They will need to demonstrate kindness, collaborative skills and strong leadership, fostering an environment of teamwork and mutual respect.
Highly organised and diligent, the successful applicant will be an excellent communicator, capable of managing multiple priorities while remaining adaptable to the evolving needs of the playground. A genuine passion for free play and a commitment to creating enriching experiences for children and young people are essential.
The Kennington Association (KA) is a registered charity and active community organisation based in North Lambeth. In 2013, the KA rescued the historic Lollard Street Adventure Playground (LSAP) from impending closure, brought on by local government spending cuts. With sustained funding from leading grant makers, the playground has since gone from strength to strength, winning Coolest Place to Play in the 2015 London Play Adventure Play Awards. It is now embarking on further development with a capital programme to replace the indoor play spaces, having already replaced the outdoor play structures and built new changing facilities which make our two sports pitches accessible to children with special needs. LSAP is a vibrant, welcoming space where children can engage in free play, and it offers a dynamic and rewarding environment for staff and volunteers alike.

We are currently recruiting a trauma-informed, person-centred Counsellor to deliver essential and life-saving counselling for survivors of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse. The Counsellor will be employed by TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester, working 24 hours a week over 3 days, and will be based at our office space in Trafford. The Counsellor will have a counselling caseload as well as completing additional tasks such as conducting initial assessments, triaging clients, and establishing next steps for each client in line with TRC's safeguarding policies.

Job Title: Helpline Contact Centre Manager
Location: Homeworking with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London)
Salary: £49,538 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota that includes evenings, weekends and night shifts.
This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Helpline Contact Centre Manager for the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, the role is designed to provide high quality practical and emotional support to Deputy Managers across the NDAH, the postholder is also responsible for the ongoing management of our contact centre, the platform that survivors use to contact the NDAH.
The National Domestic Abuse Helpline provides a national gateway to services and survivors across the UK fleeing domestic abuse, working in consultation with the Senior Operations Manager. The post holder is required to be a strategic leader, a versatile individual with excellent people management and interpersonal skills along with knowledge of domestic abuse, housing, welfare and legislation. The post-holder will be responsible for the ongoing management of our contact centre Genesys, a platform that helps us support our survivors and professionals contacting the NDAH.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours rota that includes evenings, weekends and night shifts.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
